Always be positive--

You all are really the best!!--All of you had great ideas and I do appreciate all your knowledge AND SUPPORT--Thank you so much! --  I am not "going---or coming" in my mind as much--- hopefully staying put---  maybe partly because of the beautiful new washing machine-

Well--an hour later here---  2 workers appeared--- I took them down to the dock--- 3 of our docks were built many yers ago---  when we had the cottage ---They are pretty much destroyed-=-  The 2 workers (used to be our neighbour)-  said they will strip the wooden planks off  those old docks--and give them to another neighbour--fix a retaining wall down there--and replace  the  front step which is rotting---So that will help  keep the water front looking better and prevent the front step from caving in-----

2 hrs later----A Lady just stopped in with coffee for Himself and sat and chatted with me and this man I live with--and just left--It is now 1pm--That was so so nice of her! It made  Himself's day-for sure--

So , it is almost 1pm--lunch time--and not much has gotten done--but--=It is so good to see Himself happy-- that some nice Lady took time to talk WITH HIM__Holy cow eh?----  Whatta difference I see in Himself, just knowing that someone had time in their day to talk to him--She was the person giving the Covid shots last week--

So---- I hope that your day is  happy----(If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!)---and in case you are wondering to-day, yes, to-day I shall live here in this house--our home-- because a lot of people told me it is a good idea---=ALL OF YOU!-- YOU ALL ARE THE VERY BEST PART OF MY LIFE--
So, get offa here--Go out and enjoy the day--

                                                                just remember---

  1. It's Kathy. How very thoughtful of that nice lady to stop by and visit with you and himself! I'm sure having been a doctor for so many years and seeing so many people every day, it must be very hard for him to just be at home with you. And workers to fix your dock, that will make you feel better too. My husband finally mowed the lawn yesterday without any prodding on my part and the whole back yard looks so much better! Plus I can play with Daisy without going through ankle high grass!!! I got the test results back from my CT Scan - I have Severe right foraminal narrowing at my L4-L5, which pretty much means another surgery! I'm not too happy about that but if it will take away this pain!!! Some days are better, and it kind of comes and goes. I'm sure it's going to put a damper on my gardening plans for this summer! I'm still going to plant, but just not so much! And I guess my husband will just have to help me! Hope the rest of your day goes well!

  2. Hi Lynda: That is really nice of that lady to come by. Sounds like it made himself's day. Maybe it's time for another call to the Alzheimers Society to see if they have someone in the area to come and visit. Glad you have someone looking after getting thins organized outside. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  3. Hi Lynda, how very nice of the shot lady to drop in and visit with himself. Glad he enjoyed her visit. Without the lodge, he'd be even more isolated. Would be great if someone could have coffee with him on the days he stays home. Wishing outloud.
Glad you have local guys you can call to do misc. jobs.
Glad you are feeling peaceful about your choice to stay put.
    Have a great day.
    Hugs and Blessings

  4. Hi Lynda! Sounds like your dock repairs will be nice. The coffee lady was a blessing to come by and make Fred happy. I know when he is happy, you are happy! Rain showers just for a few minutes this evening. A few storms late tonight. Nice temperatures in Ohio for the next week. Oh, do tell me if you get more doggies info! Hugs!

  5. Two very nice reports from you today: glad you have people who will take on the dock repairs, and what a nice thing the "Covid shot lady" did in coming to check up on and visit with Himself. I'm sure that gave you a bit of a break, too, as well as perking him up!

I've had a hectic day here. Ember has diarrhea. I think the new "Pupsickle" treat toy filling gave it to her. She's still young and changes in her diet can have an effect on her gastric schedule. I shall not be giving her that treat again, at least not for a while!

    Here's to a good mid-week to come!

  6. Shoot! Read this, was interrupted and didn't get back to it! So sorry!
It's great your dock will be worked on. Signs it may be fixed wholly?
Great that the lady gives shots came to visit. I bet it made Himself feel important that she came to see him.
    Love that last meme!
I am going to go for a oil change and who knows what else late tomorrow morning.
Sadie was pretty much missing today. She must've been helping someone else.
Hope you see this, sis. I was thinking of you, otherwise I wouldn't have read to begin with! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Wow! How lovely that you had such good visits yesterday!

Glad that you seem more settled in your decision to remain in your house. Hard to grapple with such a tough decision. BUT as we all know, nothing is ever written in stone, so if a time comes to change your mind, that’s ok, too!

HUGS to you and hope you and Himself have another good day!
