It'a another busy day---- OHHHHHh NOOOOOO00!-- Why are so many days , busy??--Lord love a DucK! Himself is at the Lodge--- Four of their staff came away from their desks to greet him this morning--Now how nice is that?---
-I heard -"-Good Morning DR Young--"---and --"What would you like to drink Dr Young?"- and , "How are you DR Young?"----"Nice to see you DR Young"--- He is so fortunate that people greet him and recognize him--It keeps him feeling important--- happy, worthy, blessed, confident-special----AND excited about his day---
It certainly is way better than the below and he doesn't have to "punch anyone in the face!"
or-----go and get ice cream!
So, I must let Sadie in---I truly need her this morning---before you begin to think that I've flipped my lid-Lord love a Duck!!
I did not know that Shakespeare said all the above. Did you?--
LOVE YOUR LIFE---BE HAPPY----LIVE FOR YOURSELF__BEFORE YOU QUIT--TRY!-
I am so glad your husband is going out to be with people. I wish mine still did.
ReplyDeleteOH GEE__Do you take your husband out?--They really need to talk to people--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I love Goofy, just looking at him makes me smile. I've copied your Morning Affirmations - something for me to think about. And what wisdom William Shakespeare had. I have no idea if that is actually him, but what he said about expectations is so on target! And how nice that everyone greets himself with such respect - I'm sure that makes his day! Mine is going to a Reception at the Art Center tomorrow - that will brighten up his day too. His favorite thing to do is shop for pretty much anything, but art supplies are high on his loves! I had a better night's sleep and the world doesn't look so bleak to me today! I'm so doing my best to keep positive through all this back stuff. Tomorrow I see the Neurosurgeon, then I have to decide who will do my surgery! I hope Sadie gets your home all nice and clean! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteYES--- stay positive about that back--Wht did they say??-- Lynda
DeleteLynda, we all have days that are so busy we 'don't know which end is up.' I could have a day like that today, but with all Sadie and I have done the last couple days, I have decided we need a day off. I sent Sadie to your house!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful weather here. Hasn't gotten hot yet, just warm and sunny. I read online that this is supposed to be the hottest summer on record for North America. Sure haven't seen evidence of that yet.
It is wonderful how they treat Himself at his program. They have a caring, loving staff. And let you get something done. Later, while Himself is napping, maybe you can get some quiet time in for yourself.
Saved the Shakespeare meme. You always have good ones.
I froze some rhubarb so that in a few days when I take my grandson's birthday gifts to him, I can get my big glass baking dish back. I left it at my daughter's on Easter Sunday. I plan to make rhubarb crisp.
Now it's lunch time. And Lucky time.
Is Lopez still being bothered by the flies. Sure hope not!
Hope the rest of your day goes well, too, sis. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Good for yu to take a day off--Yu deserve that! That rhubarb sounds delIcious--=I love stewed rhubarb--- busy day here--- AND--- I went shopping--at a Ladies store--havent done that in ages--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, it's worth repeating to you how much I look forward to your daily shares. You are an amazing woman who shares love and positives vibes...I need that. We all do. You make my day. Your postings are the first thing I read. Thank you for being you and sharing your days.
ReplyDeleteI really like the attention and kindness the staff at the lodge heaps on Dr.Young. That's exactly what he needs. You give him attention but the fact that it comes from others in the community he served for so long has to make him feel valuable and appreciated.
Sadie didn't show up today as I left at 6am. Each Wednesday I volunteer at a local food pantry and today is distribution day for clients. Sadie will come tomorrow. Today she's all yours
It's another perfect weather day in St.Louis. Sunny, 80F. Loving this.
Shakespeare's words...can't say if they are his as I never liked reading Shakespeare but they are important nonetheless. Not having expectations from others IS difficult but it prevents disappointment. Sure wish I could master that concept.
Have a happy, positive, productive day and remember you are amazing and awesome.
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
Marge It was a busy day here to-day--My hair dresser has changed my hair day from Thursday to Wednesday as she goes for treatments on her bladder-- I didnt get my grass done--but there is always to-morrow--Lynda
DeleteAwwww, that is so awesome that the staff are so welcoming to DH @ the Lodge. Gives you peace of mind.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote from William! TRUTH!
HUGS and hope Sadie doesn’t work TOO hard!

It turned into a hair day today Barb-- Lynda
DeleteGood afternoon, Lynda! How great that Dr. Young has so much positive attention and caring from the Lodge! I hope Sadie was able to do her wish list today. Feels good to get things done. Rainy off and on all day in Ohio so my plants are well watered. Enjoy your evening!
ReplyDeletesupposed to maybe get frost to-nite-I brought in the plants--Lynda-
DeleteI want to punch my bf in the face; he broke up with me. AND I'm going to go get ice cream.
ReplyDeleteReally?---
DeleteSo glad Himself has enjoyed going to the Lodge, to raise his spirits. It’s easy to be depressed in older ages. Not want to go out. Wish you did not have to spend hours cleaning, of all things! Now is the time to actually get pleasure. Wish you could do it.
ReplyDeleteWell--- it turned out to be "hair day"--- LOL-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: How nice that himself gets treated so well at the Lodge. Great way to put him in a good mood. Makes life easier. Definitely where he should move to if it becomes necessary. Hope you had lots of help with the grass. Have the black flies finished yet for the year? Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteBrenda--lotza blackflies --and mosquitos-- I shall do more grass to=morrow--Lynda
DeleteI really think it is such a kind place, the lodge where your Himself goes. It's a blessing for both of you, that in spite of his condition he can be made to feel useful and important. Now, who's doing that for you? Hopefully, it's us! Because you are a marvel, Lynda, and I hope that Sadie (who is really you) helps you out, too.
ReplyDeleteBarb--You all keep me going--- an outlet to voice concerns and you all Are so positive!-- THank yu---Lynda
DeleteReally, really, loved the Shakespear insert today! Sometimes I feel so all alone and just think I am talking to myself in my head....and seeing this makes me feel not so bad about the thoughts and things that I say to myself!
ReplyDeleteSandra, you are not alone-- I feel very much alone . quite often, but--yu know, I turn this on, and I read that we all feel the same way--You have a huge heart--It must be your husband up there pumping love into yu--I feel your heart when I read your messages-- You are a special lady to carry all that you do in a day--I admire yu--Big hugs, Lynda
