It's a sunny Sunday!

Good Day--  Sunday----  and it's Sunny----  and hot - with black flies---

Now --just look at the above picture-- the family all settled in one bed--WITH THE CHICKEN--- AND THE DOG--I think I can count 6 children--AND THEY LOOK HAPPY---I just love the picture--  It portrays happiness , contentment, and  love--

Do you remember when all your children were small?---And they did what they were told?----because they believed that Mom and Dad were right?-----like--ALL the time!--- What happened to them as they  grew up? --got older?-- Seems to me they think to-day that they know better ----in fact---  they believe that they know everything---and most of the time, they do not hesitate to  tell MOM AND DAD  what they believe is right----about  everything--  THERE are TIMES I PRETEND TO BE DEAF__ do not open my mouth at all, as I am afraid of what might come out--

I am late posting--I have been attending to the grass--  the weed whacking--  the Herd of dogs who need out--and-then in--I have hired a man to come out here soon, to help me put the Windsock up on the dock-- and to cut grass on the hill that is so steep. that I fell onto the garden trying to cut that grass last summer.

How is your day going?--are you enjoying this day? Are you finding time to read your book?-Are you cooking?-- I hope  you are trying to be strong-----strong enough?------You are you know--

Sometimes you just have to tell yourself that you can do  everything--  well, sorta ----

  1. It's Kathy. Sometimes I really don't think I can do what needs to be done - like today. My house needs to be cleaned and I really don't want to. But it's been 2 weeks. And it has to be done. If I get most of it done today, I'll have all day tomorrow to relax and enjoy! Yes, I am worrying over this darn surgery but I know that is going to have to be done also. My mom used to say "if it has to be, then it's up to me". So here I go - at least no cooking tonight. My daughter made us dinner for Mother's day and we had enough to freeze half. That's dinner tonight - YEAH! I hope the rest of your day is happy. Oh, and I love that first picture. Yes, they all look so happy. I remember the day when all 7 of us would be in the bed together - good times!

  2. Lynda, love the meme of the 'family bed.' My doctor son and DIL have that. They have 6 kids. The oldest girl doesn't sleep in that bed anymore at certain times of the month.
I remember when one or more ... and the dog would climb into bed when they woke up first. We had a 'full bladder' water bed. How it would 'rock and roll' with their weight and wiggling!
I am enjoying my day. It's always a slow one, being tired after karaoke.
We are waiting to hear if after next week they will stop karaoke for the summer. School will be out, people will be going on vacations, etc.
Hope they don't there are several of us who look forward to it all week. Fun, music, laughter, friends, love...
We are strong enough to do what needs to be done. Sometimes we just can't do it all at once!
Kids nowadays do know more than we do about some things. That's why we contact them for help. They don't believe the same about everything, though. That's when we have to 'bite our tongue.'
Lucky and I have already had our snooze. I did get a new book for my Kindle and have started to read it.
Hope you enjoy the whole day, too, sis. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. I never had that kind of idyllic childhood. All I remember is quarrels... hiding sometimes when needed. Maybe your little pooch is lonely, I don't think he reacted so happily when Beau was there for him to buddy with.

  4. Hi Lynda, cute picture of everyone piled in the bed.
Happy to hear you are hiring help to cut the hill. Will your grandson come out again this year to mow the yard? I hope so.
I'm glad you play deaf with the adult kids. Everyone has an opinion as opinions are just like a butt...we all have one. LOL
Rainy day in St.Louis. Raining hard at the moment. Rain started last night.
I baked two pork roast rolls and some chicken breast's. The individual serving stash in the freezer was running low.
I did my house tidy duties very early. Also knocked out a load of laundry early (5am).
Enjoy your day. Do give yourself a well deserved break.
Hoping your black flies leave soon. The cicadas here will be around for a while. Loud bugs.
    Hugs and blessings

  5. Hi Lynda: The picture of the family in bed is really cute. I only had one brother. And I have no kids so I don't have to listen to them when they think they know best. When they know everything do they have any good solutions about looking after himself, etc? Or just want to state their point of view. Glad you got someone to help with the grass. Hope they can help more often. Have a good night. Brenda

  6. Hi Lynda! Hope you enjoyed our favorite day and you got your bed done. Cute pic. Kids can be something else. I only have one son. He gets mad for years which is fine but I have three grandchildren in the picture! Sad! Tornado warning in Ohio this evening. Good night!

  7. LOVE that picture! Definitely, happy and content looks

Oh yeah, parents loose their brain cells (in children’s eyes) as they get older. Little do they know. One day they’ll be our ages and realize . . . we really are/were smart!

Glad you’ll have some help w/that step area that needs mowing. You definitely don’t need to fall! NOPE!

    Hugs and peace
