LAUGHTER is our soul dancing-

"Keep your chin up"-- As you know, Dad used to tell me that all the time, when something went wrong, and the tears were falling, and as you must remember, the tears  have always  fallen easily in my life---Oh, AND---It's true----"Just do the best you can"------ALL THE TIME!

It has been a sort of, crazy day--I called the store where I had purchased the new lawn mower--told them it does not like our fairly large property--and bogs down--quits---  and because it is a battery mower,  and when it tries to cut long grass, it uses all the battery-life-- and these tiny batteries take forever to charge- The man at the store said to bring it back as I had 7 days to do that--So , I loaded Himself into the vehicle (because he likes to be a part of everything)-managed to get the mower into the hatch and away we went--and the store refunded the $1200--and we came home---  so, it's me and the EGO mower now--Lord help me if that EGO quits now--

I just turned on the AC-It's already quite hot in here----buggy also, outside--swarms of black-flies --Poor little Lopez is so bitten--all on his tummy--I stopped at the pet store to try to buy "Bug Spray" for pets---- which they were out of-Apparently dogs should not have "DEET""--products  on their  skin---Have you heard that?--

Lunch time here---You know, I'd love to have one day with out a problem that I have to solve--To-day was the lawn mower-- I did solve it----  but there are so many other things I need to do--- like--visit the garden centre---Do you feel that there is never enough time in a day--or a week--
We all need to laugh don't we?

                                                    -  LAUGHTER really is our soul dancing--
ENJOY TODAY-----maybe sing like a cray fool---

  1. Lynda, did the store man recommend a mower that would be more what you need...maybe for less than $1200? Then you wouldn't be concerned about the other one quitting...
Did you buy Himself coffee at McDonald's?
You might try putting Vaseline on Lopez's tummy before you go out. The same thing that protects their paw pads from cold/ice/salt should stop the bugs, too, I would think.
Whatever, enjoy your day...as you say. Try not to think problems but think solutions. I know you do that.
Have already been out on an errand. May have one more later, but we're supposed to get severe storms this afternoon.
I know Sadie is going to wash at least one load of clothes. No one was in the laundry room when I came back from my errand. I want to wash an outfit for tomorrow when Donna, JoAnne and I go to the casino for Bingo to celebrate JoAnne's 85th birthday.
Get some rest, sis...music, kindle, nap...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

    2. When you can no longer keep him at home...that's probably the time for you to move someplace else just for you, Lopez and Sushi. So-o hard. I'm sorry!

  2. No, I hadn't heard that about dogs and DEET, but I'm glad I learned it now, from you!

It's mid-afternoon as I comment here... the landscape / hardscape guys are still here working on the front side of the house with the little edging / retaining wall. Ember has been on three walks, two of which were good, one of which was awful. In the awful one she poo'd, then wanted to play with the poo bag, full of her doodoo! It was a chore getting her home, and I ended up spilling blood again (mine).

You know, it's hard being a "dog mom" when your skin is thin and old and takes forever to heal! Puppies don't mean to hurt us, but they have these sharp little teeth. On the "awful" walk, I kept giving her my bleeding hand to lick, which she did, looking oh, so sorry with those puppy eyes! Then of course I washed and bandaged when we got home.

    Onward!

  3. Hi Lynda. I love the insert about laughter is the sole dancing. Love that.
I'm glad you got your money back on the mower. That's GOOD. It sounds like you had 2 battery mowers,. I was confused and thought you were keeping the new one after son showed you the arms. We will not worry or think about that one quitting until or unless it does quit. We have to stay in TODAY. Each day has new opportunities and challenges. We are strong and make IT happen.
It's hot here...90F and windy as all get out. AC has to be on. Storms on the way.
Glad himself supervised mower return lol.
Tomorrow himself will likely go to lodge and youll have a wee break.lol.
Sadie was here early and did laundry. bathrooms and floors. What a gal Sadie is.
I've heard you shouldn't put Deets directly on dogs skin as it's absorbed into body. Perhaps your vet can make suggestions on what to use on Lopez.
Stay cool, don't overdue it working.
Hugs and blessings from Marge in hot St.Louis

  4. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. It seems my response to your yesterday's blog didn't post. I guess I'm in too much of a hurry that I forget to make sure it connected. I love the Lucy meme - my mom and my sister always watched the I Love Lucy reruns! My dad used to say "In 100 years, Kath, none of this will matter." He was so laid back about everything. My mom was a difficult woman to live with - everything had to be her way - but my dad never got mad! I do miss him so much! I'm so glad you got the lawn mower returned and how nice for himself to be able to ride along. You have so many responsibilities! I haven't turned on the AC yet, but have thought about it. We had storms come through again last night and more coming soon by the looks of outside! I hope you have a good rest of your day!

  5. Our air is on, daughter cannot stand the heat....we are expecting storms tonight, tomorrow, and possibly Thursday...which is annoying but our temps today were 90, then and now is 87. I took Blue for a run with the golf cart up and down the drive....little stinker can run 29 miles per hour....they clocked him with the 4 wheeler. The golf cart only goes about 12.
Glad you took Himself when you went to town..it made him feel included...Have a wonderful rest of the week.

  6. Well, glad you were able to return that new mower and make an outing of it w/Himself.

That’s right . . . no DEET for pets. Not really good for us humans, either!

Yes, there is always something to occupy the time of day! And not always what we’d want to be doing!

LOVE the memes. Humor, laughter, is such powerful medicine for the mind, body and soul.

    Hugs and Wonderful Wednesday.
