Good Morning-- To-day is Sunday, March the 22nd---AND THERE IS NO SNOW FALLING----so far, anyway-----HOLY COW EH?

Yes, just pause for a moment and really appreciate all the good in your life.

Wise Words-----#1.Avoid sarcasm

I hope your day is going well-- Yesterday, Son#1  came into town and drove me out to his house for supper--We had a delicious hot dog plus left over Chinese Food--drove back here in a snow storm--It helps so very much, to get out and be with family, when you live alone--I appreciated the invite so much! --Also , my Grandson, Ethan,  picked me up at the grocery store in the morning and drove me home here---groceries and all---That was such a pleasant surprise!--He said he would be here  this  AM., to shovel the driveway--so, it seems everyone is helping "Gramma"--

I must tell you also that the money spent on the piano , has made that piano sound like Heaven--

So, I hope this morning, you will keep quality in your life to-day--If you live fearing death, then you do not live---Remember --Busy people have more fun-- and if at first you don't succeed, you are about average.

Get out there and enjoy the day!

  1. Morning Lynda,
Good to hear you are getting a break from the snow.
Sounds like you had a nice day with family. Sweet of your Grandson to help you with the groceries and shovel your driveway.
I think we are finally done with snow shoveling. It's going to hit almost 80 today but then cool down tomorrow. I just remembered Friday was the first day of Spring so the up and down weather is about right.

Hope you have a wonderful Day!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  4. Good morning, sis.

We had such a warm day yesterday that it's disapointing that the warmth has gone away. We had a touch of spring, but it didn't last. It's only going to be 40F today. You'd love that though in your 'neck of the woods.' It would mean no snow!

Love the photos! Haven't seen any of Charley for awhile.
    And always love seeing Fred.

Happy your piano is now itself again. That is such a source of pleasure for you.

Yes, it's great when our children and theirs help us out! It shows that they appreciate all we did for them. It's funny that roles change as we get older...they start taking care of us!

I just looked at my watch. It has the correct time, but is a day behind! Now I have to call up the youtube video to change the day!

Another load of laundry today, too. Other than that it's gonna be a day of rest for me.

Oh! When I went to get my taxes done I found out I DID NOT have to file, but Minnesota gives a renter's rebate...I am getting a bit over $1000 back! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Oh Lynda, when I read you had fallen on the ice with a trip to the bank, it took my breath away. Thank God you were not seriously injured because you could easily have broken your hip. Were you not wearing the shoes with grippers? Anyway, I hope your day goes well and you can entertain Lopez and Sushi with the piano. I was happy to hear that Son #1 picked you up and had you over for dinner. Great of Ethan to act as your chauffeur to get groceries.

  7. It's Kathy. I'm so glad your son picked you up and brought you home for dinner last night. And how nice of your grandson to take you home from the grocery store. It sounds like your family is starting to understand that you need more family in your life! I still have my Tom but I sure do miss my children - 3 are close enough to visit but they are all so busy! I hope you have a lovely Sunday and that NO SNOW continues all day long.

  8. That snow you keep getting is such a pain! And to hear that you took a fall at the bank! Oh my! So thankful you are ok other than a bruised hip! It could have been so much worse! Wondering how you got to the grocery store - as you only said that your grandson picked you and your groceries up? Hopefully you didn't walk there with your snowy conditions? Not saying walking isn't good, as we both know once we quit moving our lives change drastically! That's why I do yoga 5 days a week! So good for stretching and balance! I do need to walk more, but my days seem so busy and full that I don't. I know I need to make it a priority as I spend too much time sitting on my couch with my laptop - and then the time flies by because I've gone down that "rabbit hole"! I will be getting lots of walking in when I get to my son's house in CA....as they walk everywhere! The last time I was there I came home with very sore legs!

  9. Hi Lynda,
Play the heck out of your beautifully tuned piano. Enjoy
How very nice that son had you over for dinner.
Gosh, sorry to hear you fell on ice but glad you are ok.
Which grandson took you to store....you always mention granddaughters. Which son has a grandson that drives? Oh I do remember a grandson that helped you mow at big house.
It was in the 80sF here all weekend but back to 35F in the morning.

  10. Hi Lynda! Stormy and rainy in Ohio tonight. I was busy all day cleaning up and recovering from Ava’s fun party. She is 9. How nice you went to dinner at your son’s home. That was sweet of Ethan to come get you with groceries. I remember him helping you some at the lake. So nice to have good help. Enjoy your night. Sorry I got here late. Hugs!
