To-Day is Saturday, March 21st--7-20am--a bit daylight----Sushi, Lopez, and I, are up--The wash is now in the dryer--chugging away--Lopez will have to go out soon-- I have taken my 110 pills--(Well, it seems that way--hard to swallow them without choking)---
So, are you happy this AM?--Try to enjoy the life we are given--you know, as we age, we must get wiser--I hope!
Yesterday, Frances, the piano tuner, was here - He worked on restoring the piano--- He put a new water system on it--somehow reattached all the piano keys which had become loose, I guess from all the moves-- It sounds so lovely now--like new -really!
Now I must begin to practice daily--I will have to find a piano teacher--then the time to practice--I really am excited to get back to playing!
Above -another family picture-must've been a Birthday celebration
The beach at Elliot Lake--where we enjoyed sunning , and swimming, in the summer
Ethan and Ava 2 Grandchildren
I hope that you have a good day--Sometimes one must remind ourselves that we should enjoy each day--It would be nice to see some green grass around here, but, one day--one day, the snow will melt-- and it will be summer--I hope!
\Here are some wise words---that might be good to think about--
#1.Time avenges all wrongs
#2.Think big thoughts
#3 Live with grace and intelligence, bravery and mercy
I hope your day is great--Dream big, Help others as they help you---and visualize better days ahead--
Remember, most of the things you worry about never happen--
Just an added thought below--reminding us to believe in our convictions--
Good morning, Lynda! It is going to be in the 60’s today in Ohio! My son and wife and three littles are coming today. We are celebrating my Ava’s birthday. It was on the 7th but with work and school they are just getting to come. I am excited! They live 90 minutes away. How great you have a like new piano again! II better get going. Lots to do for company. I hope you have a lovely day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope that you enjoy having your company=-=-The weather sounds good too--and yes, what a a lovely gift--having the piano all tuned and it makes me so happy--music in the house again--Lynda
ReplyDeleteI could feel the joy in your heart when you talked about your piano being tuned and how lovely it sounds! We need to be grateful for the small things that we have in our lives, but we often overlook them! I can picture you sitting at your piano and playing and feeling both joy and sadness at the same time! Funny how we can experience both emotions at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI hope that all your snow melts soon and you see some green grass! I have lots of it here now....and it needs mowing! Yikes! I don't like the thought of getting out and mowing so early in the season.....but I don't want to be a complainer, I am just happy that God has given me another day to live on this earth - so I will put my headphones on and go mow, mow, mow!
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteIt's mostly sunny here. The temp is due to rise to 70F!!! I find it hard to believe. I believe spring is really here. It is the second day of spring according to the calendar. Not for you yet, I guessl. It will come soon.
Water system for a piano? I never hear of that. My ex and I used to have a Thomas organ. What fun. We took lessons, too. I also used to have a portable electric piano, a keyboard I guess you'd call it. The kids and I used to sing along with all the songs I played. They especially liked it when I played songs from Sesame Street.
Love the photos. I'd love to live near Elliot Lake. Also, I remember seeing a photo that included the little girl with the big heart on her shirt.
I am getting my taxes done today. After that I have an hour at home and then Donna and I are going to a store in a neighboring town where she gets her vitamins. She's very particular and needs a new tire on her own car.
I got a large load of laundry done yesterday and hoped to get another done today. I guess it will have to wait for tomorrow.
Love the meme about 'trust yourself.' I posted it on FB right away and added, "and follow your intuition."
Time for me to get going. Hope you have a great day, too. We can do it! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Glad the piano tuner was able to restore your instrument. I know it will bring you joy to be back playing for Lopez and Sushi! I discovered since Ember came to live with me that doggos are relaxed by piano music, and I'm sure it's even more special when played by their favorite human!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lynda, you sound like a very happy camper this morning with your newly tuned piano. Now you can play to your heart's content. Today is the first day in many weeks that our weather forecast does not have a 9 in front of it. We will be in the 80s until the last day of March and then we'll be in the 70s. That's my sweet spot. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend. I'm praying that all goes well on the 24th when you have your eye exam.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Hi Lynda, you sould so happy to have your piano all fixed up. I never heard of a water system in a piano. Please find the time to play. Music in the house will do all 3 of you good. Play to your hearts content. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGoing to be high 80s F in St.Louis today. Sun shining, birds singing, gorgeous day. I so miss my himself. I have no idea what to do with myself today. Im so lonely and miss him so much. Ok...gotta find something to do...guess I'll go walking...again.
Have a great day. Hoping one day soon your snow leaves!
Hugs
Marge. St.Louis
Good Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteGood news that your piano is all tuned and ready for you to play. Now you can serenade Lopez and Sushi. : - ) My Mom made me take 4 years of piano lessons when I was in grade school. At that age, I didn't want to do it, I wanted to play with my friends and I didn't really practice. My Mom still has the piano I used. She played when she was younger, not so much any more, and was pretty good at it.
Were you able to go to brunch yesterday with Dave? How is the snow situation there?
We have sunny weather and it's going to hit the 70 F today.
Hope your day is awesome!
Hugs,
Jackie
