Fall seven times, stand up eight!

Good Morning--It is Wednesday, March 11th--and -do we ever have snow--fell overnight--I have been out shovelling--am waiting for my snow boys to clear the rest of the snow--for now--I hear more is to come!---Spring is definitely NOT HERE!-
-I have the wash in--Sushi is fed--Lopez has been out to do his business---I must get my pills--AND COFFEE--and guess what?-- I hear freezing rain is coming soon also--  Lordy Be!!  So-Good Morning  and I hope we will not get any freezing rain--later on-

-OK---I need to hear some wise words--to give me strength to keep on going
#1. Cherish leisure because it is a rare commodity
#2. He who looks behind will never get ahead
#3. Pay attention to the people you love.

                                Grandchildren in our kitchen

                                        Fred sitting with Lola

above-a very old picture-- taken at my parents cottage, on the beach, at Port Stanley
Left to rt--my older sister, Mary Beth, my brother Wayne--ME, a couple of neighbour kids, and in front, my young sister Sandra--How we absolutely loved that cottage!

So--- another day is beginning--The weather to-day looks like it will be a bit, "iffy"---Remember--a healthy person is a successful person--The past cannot be improved, but the future can--and, a sense of humour reduces people and problems to their proper proportion-
And--The above is Elliot Lake-- a beautiful place to live--the reason  we-- Dr Young and I moved here and raised our family--and where our ashes will be---good people --good times in Canada's North--
So---  get on with your day--Even if you do something ridiculous ,outrageous, or stupid, to-day,. do it with enthusiasm.

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
Did I understand your post correctly from yesterday, are you going to get an eye exam today ? If so, sending positive thoughts your way.

Yikes, sorry to hear you got so much snow. We are dealing with heavy rain and are on a tornado watch. They are predicting some snow next week I think. Crazy Spring Weather!
Here's wishing you a good day!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, we got snow too. Not too much last night but they tell us more is coming, then some really cold days. You're right, Spring is not here yet! I didn't sleep very well again last night so I decided not to go to my class at the gym this morning. Daisy is happy about that! I hope you have a really good day!

  3. Good morning Lynda, sounds like your morning routine is going well. I am so sorry to hear that you've had more snow. Meantime, where I live, we're going to have 96 degrees today and 95 degrees tomorrow. It's absurd to have these high temps at this time in March. If it's like this before Spring, I worry about what the Summer temps might be. I hope the remainder of your day goes well.

  5. Hi Lynda! It is SO windy in Ohio and we have a tornado watch. I saw a lot of damage in the news for another county. Gosh, your snow is awful! I hope your day is going well. My husband is home today with a kidney stone. He gets one every 6 months or so. They seem painful. Enjoy your evening. Hugs!

  6. Wise words of advice? I sure don't have any, except, just get up one day at a time and try to make it as enjoyable as possible, because life is so short!

Right now, waiting for the heavy rain to subside so I can walk the dog, just home from work (and after work was my hour allotted time at the Licking Memorial Hospital Wellness Center, which is in a technical college down the street here). If you have diabetes or are over the age of, I think, 60, you can go for free, at your designated time, so it kinda forces you to go, LOL. It's a small exercise room with treadmills, arm bikes, and Nu Steps, and stationary bikes. It sure does lower my A1C, just 40 minutes of it.

I am sorry you are still getting snow. I sure would hate to live there! Glad I live where I do. And I sure wouldn't want 96 degree weather either, in California. I like the weather around 40-75, and no hotter. Hotter than 75, I feel lightheaded and nauseous, as I'm heat intolerant. Today here in Ohio, it's a tornado warning and 69 degrees and pouring rain ATM.

  7. Good afternoon, sis.

I am late commenting due to going to the Veterans Hospital again. I had to have a physical therapist evaluate my shoulder. I will be trying TOPICAL Ibuprofen and attending pt I don't know how many times a week for quite awhile.

The photos are great. I can see why you love Lake Elliot. I always love seeing grandchildren and Himself. The photo of you and your sisters and friends is one to cherish as well.

I woke up to snow, too, but not too much. It did make the almost hour drive to the hospital a bit more difficult.

When I returned, I had to feed Lucky and crash. Did just short of an hour and a half nap.

All that we go through, and get up again. More than 8 times it seems.

Must try to catch up on what I haven't done yet today. I will come back later, though, check comments and any replies. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
