And yesterday, we had just horrible weather--freezing rain--and snow fell off and on all day--I had to call up my "back-up" boys, to shovel--and they are supposed to come again to-night--just in case all that weather hangs on--
So I SHALL return--later on this afternoon--
RD in AZ here
ReplyDeletehave a fantastic day I will take that snow and the freezing rain here is AZ it is just getting warm moving towards 100 degrees F in the Phoenix area where I am it will move towards the 80 degree mark too hot for this time of year
Quote for the day
A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.
Eleanor Roosevelt
Very hot there for sure--but--SO SO muh snow here--with freezing rain--very difficult for droving--Lynda
DeleteI agree --- 100 degrees must be difficult to live with--Lynda
DeleteHave a Good Day, Lynda!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have the shovel boys to clear the snow.
Hugs,
Jackie
The boys who shovel have been so good to clear away all the snow in the driveway--Lynda
DeleteI do not know what I would ever do without those :"hovel boys"--They clear the little yard (Lopez yard)=-also-=-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is not too bad. It's 28F and due to be 44F. We do have a high wind warning until noon.
I will come back later, too. I will have some chores done by then. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--Your chores yu talk about??--The pets??---And your weather sounds pretty good---better than here--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, I hope the workshop goes well. Nice that your friend Jackie drove you. There was something in yesterday's blog that puzzled me. Why is your driver's license being taken away this Friday before you've had the eye test on the 24th? Did the doctor do that or the Dept of Motor vehicles? Seems totally unfair to me. I hope the remainder of your day goes well and that there is no more snow.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Maureen It is totally unfair--I agree-- It is done by this new Dr---because he said that I did not pass his memory test--which is probably -true-- because---- I have thyroid disease--It was out of whack while I Iived out in Lakefield with Fred-I had no Doctor while there so it could not be checked--If I had had a Doctor, that Doctor would have checked it--and changed my meds around--When I finally got a Dr to check it out there , they increased the dosage and finally the thyroid came down--to a more normal number which it is now--,What a mess eh??-- Lynda
DeleteWe are due for another 10 cm of snow to-morrow-- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'll check back again later - I do hope you enjoy your workshop. It's nice that you have someone to go with who will drive. Yes, I think my body just needed a rest - I didn't do much yesterday. Mostly read or watched some tv and knitted. I've not been able to get up since the time change either. This morning I got up to take care of Daisy and then crawled right back into bed for about another hour. And this weather doesn't help. I'm glad you've got those boys to help you with the snow. We're expecting a second round overnight and then again Saturday into Sunday - that one is suppose to be a big snowstorm but so far it looks like it might not hit so hard where we live - mostly north and south of us. Take care.
ReplyDeleteKathy it is so so had to get up after that time change isn't it? I am the same way--Lynda
Deleteand it is so dark eh??--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda,

DeleteMarge it is so hard isn't it--and I am proud of you to be so strong--Lynda
DeleteMarGE__ I shall pray for you also--=- I know you will be strong-Lynda
DeleteI expect we'll hear more about rides to and from places as you adjust to whatever that doctor says about driving! I guess if our grandmothers could do it, we will be able to do so as well. My dad's mom did not drive, and I was only four years old when she lost grandpa. She walked, she took the bus, she had rides with friends, she even sometimes hired a cab (but that was a splurge kind of thing), and when we as kids were in her care, she took us along, whatever means of transport she used. She lived alone, as both her children (my dad and his sister) lived 50 miles away or so.
ReplyDeleteI hope that things work out as well for you as they did for her.
Well I guess we manage when we have to don't we?--I took a cab home from the concert-- A man I did not even know, came and sat right beside me at the concert-I felt so uncomfortable--At half time at the concert, I left--took a cab home--and the driver was a nice lady- so I guess we do manage-Lynda-
DeleteADORABLE photo from the past!
