Do not hit or bite anyone!

It is Tuesday, March the 10th--Son#2's , the Policeman son, well-- his Birthday  is to-day-  I have to get the wash in-- plus I shall return on here-- have to get Lopez out also--It looks like it might be an OK day .---We are supposed to get a ton of snow over the next week or so--                                                                                Good Morning to you all--

So--Are you happy and you know it??

Good thing I am strong--  but--there are times, I wonder how strong one must be to get through all of this--I have my drivers Licence till Friday--so, I have my vehicle till Friday--This Dr. wants me to have an Eye exam, which I have every year anyway, but the 2 eye places in town are booked up for the next few months--and  Allison, my daughter in OHIO, has found an optical place in Sudbury--who can take me on the 4th and will send their results right back to my Doctor here-(who I now do really not like ) He  has forced me to jump all these hoops---like getting to Sudbury --2 hrs away--for an eye exam--) But one must do what one must do I guess!-

So,            #1. I shall take the Bull by the Horns -

#2. A Calamity is often a blessing in disguise -

#3.Only your mind can make things impossible-

Above--  Son#2 the Pilot, Jacob Allison's son, Son#1, Allison. and Son#3 the policeman
Grandchildren in backyard of a B@B
Me--and my dear Husband

Below, Fred, with Allison's son, Jacob
So-- ever onward here-- life goes on--
Wise words--  No-one should fear the truth--
Fall seven times---Stand up eight
Do not be ashamed to fail
Your children are with you, yet they do not belong to you--

I best get on with this day---Remember to learn how to manage your parents-(like me!)--and, if you do not feel old, then you are not!!

It's this guy's Birthday to-day
Son#4 and his other half--If you see him, wish him a Happy Birthday

  1. Morning Lynda,
Great pic of you and Sushi!
We also have rain here today and storms for tomorrow. It's almost like it's Spring already. I am not sure if we are done with the snow yet........this time of year the weather is all over the place.

    Well, have a terrific Tuesday!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  3. It's Kathy. Yes, I heard that we are also expectung snow. Some overnight tonight and more over the weekend. I'm so done with snow and winter! I have Pilates today but I sure don't want to go. It used to be my favorite thing but not so much. Plus, it was covered by my insurance but they've stopped doing that so I have to pay for the privilege of going to the gym. Not sure how much longer I want to do that! Hope you have a good day today and that not too much snow hits you. Take care.

  5. Happy Birthday to son.
I don't understand eye exam now. Does this mean you can keep driving? I hope so.
Do you get a notification that you wont be able to drive....none of this seems clear cut and can you redo the test? Im sorry about this mess.
I admire your strength. Wishing you the best.

  6. Good morning Lynda, I am so sorry that the new doctor is making all of these demands on you. I know you said there is a shortage of doctors where you live, but perhaps you could try switching after you get through all of this. I am wondering, was the test you took written or verbal? I ask only because if it was written and you gave the wrong answer, maybe he thought you couldn't see well and needed new glasses. I can't think of any other reason he would require an eye exam. You are a strong woman, you have been through so much, and you carry on like a real trooper. I'm glad that you have Allison because her being a nurse, you can ask her medical questions about issues that are not clear to you. Hang in there Lynda. Tell your son that a birthday wish is being sent from California.

  7. Hi Lynda! It is 72 in Ohio today and 25 next week. What in the world, right?! Happy Birthday Mr. Police Officer! Oh my, you have license until Friday. You may be able to get them back after your eye exam? Thank you, Allison!! Cheering for you no matter what! Big hugs!

  8. Well, Lynda, I guess it will just be a mini trial of how it will be to not be able to drive, until you "pass" whatever stupid things you are supposed to pass. What a mess! Yes, if I couldn't drive, I would be fit to be tied, though we DO now have a little bus that takes the elderly (and others) all around our small(ish) town.

  9. I really do seldom drive anywhere farther than 20 min away to the doctors. It's a 5 minute trip to the grocery, 3 min to work, and 3 minutes to fast food places. Other than that, I don't go anywhere.

  10. Good afternoon, sis. You did come back, and so did I.

Great family photos today, and I love your third wisdom statement. It all happens due to our mine. Don't worry about the driving. It will all work out. A two hour drive to Sudbury will be worth it.

We used to help our kids...now they help us. It's a circle of love and caring.

I got some little stuff done. Had a bit of a stressful morning, but it's all over now.

Oh!!!! I read on a medical newsletter I subscribe to, "Medicines you should not take with coffee." It seems like you don't get the full affect of the drug. One of them is thyroid medication! I have always taken it with my first cup of morning coffee. I figured "take it on an empty stomach" meant you COULD take it with clear liquids. I drink my coffee black with no-cal sweetener. That's a clear liquid. No wonder I'm always so tired!

I am so happy you have a ride to Sudbury! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  11. Oh boy. We’re supposed to get rain and snow over the week, too. *SIGH* But we’re getting closer to Spring!

LOVE your photo. . . and the family photos.

Oh no. I am sorry to hear you have more hoops to jump through. You know you’re in my prayers.

    Happy birthday to son #4.

Hugs, and all good wishes. YOU ARE STRONG!

  12. Hi Lynda: Look on the Ministry of Transportation website and the video for renewing license over 80. Hope that will give you some information.

  13. I think Brenda, in the response above mine, has a good idea about looking up Canada's Ministry of Transportation website! It's late and time for me to go to bed, because I have been busy all day and am just now checking a few things on my computer! But I just had to chime in and tell you how much I loved seeing Sushi downstairs with you! And sending birthday wishes to your policeman son!
