The town roads were well ploughed this AM--however!
I just had to share all the above smiles  with you all--Grandchildren out in the boat-left to rt--Charley, Emma, Andie and Sophia--makes me smile just to look at them-

  1. Hi Lynda! Hope your day is going well. Sorry about the taxi bill. Terrible. That snow is crazy. We got a bit in Ohio last night and the coldest it’s been in 40 years on this St. Patrick’s Day. Sorry you lost your dad and Fred on this day. I did not realize that. I found out I was expecting my son on this day. Glad your house is freshly clean. That is nice! Stay strong! Sending extra hugs!

  2. Hi Lynda, I am happy to see that you blogged. With all the snow, I was afraid that you had lost your power, which would be beyond terrible. Maybe your kids told you taxis were cheap because they never took one. I know taxis are expensive in the US. Part of your expense was the meter keeps running while you were in and out of the bank and pet store, but at least you know you have transportation when you need it. Matt is getting snow just like you. it's nice that you have a freshly cleaned house since you'll be inside for the remainder of the day. Your photos, as always, are priceless. I am grateful that I've found friends that are crazy like me.

  3. Hi Lynda
Im surprised you could go anywhere. Also surprised cleaning ladies could get to your house today. Sounds like your set for inside for a bit. Enjoy your clean house. Taxis aren't cheap at all... but glad you have that option.
Cant believe its a year today since Fred passed. Its only been a few weeks since my himself passed. Its hard coming home to this house, we'll its all hard. Happy that you have a large supportive family.
Great thoughts for today and inserts.
    Stay warm and safe.

    2. Hi Lynda! I had thought it was the 18th that Fred passed, when I went back to look, you had posted "he has passed" on the 18th, but maybe he had already passed by then. I am so sorry, of course, that he passed, BUT you've soldiered on and made it a whole YEAR without him - one day at a time. So I guess St. Patrick's Day isn't your happiest day. Here, I went to McDonald's and picked up a shamrock shake, just in the small size, since I'm diabetic.

Don't you have Uber there, or anything? But maybe they are just as pricy, I don't know, I've never used an Uber, and not used a taxi in a very very long time, and only with my husband, and that was 13 yrs ago.

It's very cold here, 25 degrees, and about an inch of snow fell. Yuck!

  5. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, I hope your first experience w/a cab shuttle wet well.

    LOVE the photos.

We had sun today, and that felt good. Still cold. And more snow expected overnight. I am not amused! But . . . what will be will be.
