Very little is needed to make a happy life!

It is Friday, March the 6th-- freezing rain is supposed to be falling outside--AlL DAY_I shall have to see if it has begun yet--  I was trying to drive to Huron Lodge to sign up to volunteer there, but I will  definitely check the weather on the roads before going there. And the cleaning lady will be here also in a bit--.

The washer is chugging away--and I hear Sushi meowing upstairs for her breakfast-so, I must get her fed--Both Lopez and her (Sushi) I guess, are my room mates--  LOL-Oh--I must tell yu --I had "highlights" put in my hair yesterday--to blend in with those white hairs--(always trying to stay young--crazy eh?--because  growing old should be  looked up to-no matter what we look like__)

Lopez and I are up---AND--another day has begun--

Wise thoughts--
#1. The soul  lives  longer than the body.
#2. Sometimes your opinion needs to be altered.
#3.Praise should make you a better person-not an in tolerable one!-

So--I Hope that your day is going well_Do you feel in control of  situations ?--Are you happy (and you know it?)---Remember that nature can teach us much wisdom--Let people know what you stand for and what you will not stand for and be willing to shed parts of your  life-and--best of all----------------Count your blessings--
                                                older than old pictures-
Above --my Grandparents with my Uncle and my aunt--  A very very old picture--

Me on the left--Fred in back row--Andrew beside him on the rt--and all his relatives--in Montego Bay, Jamaica--

The 2  German Shepherds with Fred, and I,  and Hannah--now finished University

I try to remember-(and  its difficult to remember stuff!!!) that happiness is measured by one's experience with feelings of happiness. and that death can show us how to live,  can teach us about life-We all share the same earth---SO SO MUCH TO  REMEMBER IN THIS LIFE ISN"T THERE?

  4. Good morning, sis. Another new day for us...new opportunities. Volunteering is a great idea.

It's to rain on and off today here, too. There's a chance of thunderstorms, also. That sounds like spring to me.

I'm getting ready to leave for the Veterans Medical Center hospital for my doctor appointment, to pick up the med I have to shoot myself with and see what I can find in the duty free store.

By the time I get back, I will probably want to collapse with Lucky for a nap. He's always willing, even if he slept the whole time I was gone. I do have a window partially open for him to look out of and feel the fresh air.

I hope your volunteer job works out. What do they do at the lodge?

I'll check to be sure this posted when I return and again this evening to see if there have been any replies.

Let's make it another great day...no matter the weather. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Good morning Lynda, good for you getting highlights in your hair. If it makes you feel good, that is all that matters. You're having freezing rain while here in California where I live, it's going to be 90 degrees on Sunday. That is absurd for the first week of March. I hope it's not a precursor that we're going to have 100 degree plus weather all Summer long. It's wonderful that you want to volunteer, but it may not pan out for today if driving conditions are bad. You are 100% correct in saying some days are harder than other days to be chipper. You'll be busy this weekend changing clocks, even if you don't have as many in your home. Enjoy the weekend ahead.

  7. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. You're wise to check the weather before heading out. I drove in some freezing rain a week ago and it was the scariest time driving I've had in years. It was like driving on an ice rink - with cars coming from everywhere. Stay safe and go out when the weather is nicer! We're suppose to get some snow overnight but then they're predicting 60 degrees on Sunday to melt it all again. I am so ready for Spring! Love all the photos - you had a happy life I think. And yes, I believe I will be happy today too!

  8. Hi Lynda; Didn't get a chance to comment yesterday. You were married to a doctor forever so, if there was a problem, I think Fred would have told you about it. Your new doctor seems to have different opinions! Don't worry about anything yet. Especially if the doctor is the only one with a different opinion. Maybe he doesn't like being up there! Settle down til you get more info as it doesn't make sense. play the piano tonight to relax! Hugs Brenda

  9. Love the blast from the past photos.

Glad you did the highlights! Something different. Uplifting. '

Rain all day . . . ugly. But hopefully it's not going to last all night.,

Hugs and blessings to you, Sushi and Lopez!
