Continue to Sparkle!

To-day is Thursday, March 5th-- It is very dark outside --freezing rain predicted to-day and to-morrow--Well, yesterday was a complete flop--Apparently my Doctor --Dr Amir, sent the results in from my memory test, and I fully believe that they (whoever "they" are)--will pull my driver's Licence--You see, I suffer from an under active Thyroid-- take meds for it--so, of course my memory is really under active, all the time---even with the Synthroid meds--  He (The Doctor) told me that I did well on all the test, EXCEPT --the memory part--of course--and I cannot change that.
On Son#3's advice, I did go to the licence place and changed the name on the owner of the car, from Fred to me--It took ALL-morning to do that--but it --the car, is now in my name. (whatever that will do!)

#2.--Telling the truth is a brave act--

#3.-If someone can do it, you can do it!

So, I am in the "depths of despair" here--How can I manage without my vehicle at my age-- --unless-----I get a motorbike--which might end up killing me--but maybe--just maybe , it won't!-- It could be a possibility--I do see them around town---

Above , is Emma, as a young swimmer-Son #3's daughter--now in her 2nd yr University --Below is Sophia and Jacob, our daughters children in Ohio

and an Air Canada aircraft----getting read to head toVancouver with Son#2  our son, the pilot on it----

--So much going on to-day-- and hopefully  Spring is in the air--I hope that your day goes well---Become a better person from your trials and tribulations--Never give up ON WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO DO_Life sometimes is not fair--

I shall get that wash into the dryer--and poor wee Sushi wants her breakfast   ---so, I shall be back to read YOUR  words of wisdom-- Hugs to you all--  Lynda

I do not think that they would have sent a new licence and let you have the car in your name if they did not feel that you could be a safe driver most people tend to know when they need to give up driving they notice that they are not keeping up with the speed of the other cars and they notice that they have oh gee when did I pass that I don't remember that moments more often people just know or your kids will see it and make you stop driving but I do not feel that a test will show this especially a memory test

  2. Please consider removing the info on your vehicle from this post. Although most of the people on here are your 'friends', there are people who run across info like this and will use it for their benefit. I may be too cynical about these kinds of things - but you need to be careful.

  5. Good Morning Lynda,
I also agree with the poster who said you should remove your vehicle information from your blog. If somehow your account was hacked, they would have that info. We can never be too careful, there are so many scams and scammers anymore who are getting more and more clever with how to access your personal info.

On another note, you haven't received official notice that they are going to pull your license so try to think positive. If forbid that happens, won't your children living near you be able to help with driving you where you need to go. Also, check into transportation for seniors, they have that in the states. They will pick you up and take you to your destination as needed. Just maybe something to check into if needed. There are resources out there. But, I don't know where to send you for that since I live in the US.

Anyway, take a few deep breaths and think positive thoughts.
It will all be ok. Stay strong!

Hugs to you, Sushi and Lopez,
    Jackie

  6. Good morning, sis.

I have hypothyroidism, too. It has beem well managed, thank goodness.

I have just tooked up more info from the MayoClinic website. Memory issues are the last symptom mentioned. Maybe if you had the same doctor managing your meds, there would be a different outcome. DO NOT GIVE UP! You may need to remind your doctor of your excellent driving record. Have you told the kids yet? It's scary, huh?

Warmer and rainy here. Already it's 37F,

Tomorrow I will go to the doctor to discuss my arm and shoulder pain and the neuropathy in my legs down to the soles of my feet.

We will both survive and adapt the best we can. Let's all pray for each other!

Soon Spring will be here...flowering trees (lilacs!), little creatures running around, dandelions, bugs (ugh) and warmth! Going out without heavy clothing, Saint Patty's Day, Easter...let's think of all that as much as we can.

I am sure that Sushi and Lopez have been tended to. Hold them close. They will always love you, as do your family and your followers.

    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. I'm a little puzzled about the timeline. You got the license in the mail. You did a test with your doctor and he said you did well on everything except the memory part, and he sent the test results to the people that handle the licensing. If those test results were sent to them before the license came to you, I'm thinking you're OK and clear to drive. If the test results were sent LATER, then you don't KNOW whether further restrictions might be made. I would assume you are OK as long as you have that license! And you are so right, you know to be careful and avoid driving when you're not at your best.

Chin up, as they say. You're good. Hugs and pets for the pets!

  8. Good morning, Lynda! It is 100 percent rain in Ohio. Monday will be 68 and sunny. Just come on to Ohio for ice cream. That dumb test! I am so sorry you are dealing with that. I would probably fail the memory test but drive just fine. Also, a test can just feel overwhelming causing one not to do well so it looks worse that it is. I sure hope it gets sorted out. If you don’t care for the doctor, can you get a new one? I hope your day is good. Saying a wee prayer for you, Lynda. Hugs!
