A new day---sunny--going to get warm-- blue sky-Lopez and I have "hoofed" it up the trail--and--he will have to go again , as he was so busy sniffing, he did not do his business.-
Wasn't Mother's Day the best ?---I was treated to lunch--so, I put on my best "bib and tucker" (as Dad used to say-) and we went to a wonderful restaurant., in my new, very lovely, outfit--which cost me an arm and a leg----(-I guess I will not be shopping in that store again!)---
So, I know Son #2 is in some foreign country--far from here--but, in all the chaos yesterday, I missed where his flight was going to--- He flew from Montreal, is all I remember!-- He is either in Brazil ---or--- England--
Did I tell you that the Opthomolagist in Peterborough is going to Lazar the lens in my eyes?? Apparently 50-% of people get this blurriness following cataract surgery--I hope it helps, as I have trouble reading the fine print--He also said I should be going to an opthomolagist twice a year--I usually go only once-- Live and learn eh??--
To-day I hope that you will be the person your dog thinks you are--
Good morning Lynda, glad Matt treated you to a lovely luncheon. He's the best! I hope the other kids called.
ReplyDeleteHow nice you treated yourself to an expensive new outfit that you love. I'm sure you looked beautiful.
Not to worry about YAG eye procedure. It's very common. Twice a year visits is pretty routine as well.
Enjoy this beautiful day. Get out and see the beauty of nature.
Big hugs, much love and prayers

Glad you had a nice Mother's Day. So nice that you got to go to lunch at a nice restaurant and wear your new outfit! My day didn't exactly go as planned. Had brunch with my oldest son and his family and was supposed to meet up with my daughter and her family at "the house" where they were going to help me put up the gazebo as I am planning on opening the pool even though the house is unlivable! But my granddaughter woke up with a fever and sore throat - she has strep! So those plans were canceled. Son #2 was out of town for soccer tournament for his son in Kansas City. Youngest son in CA called me twice....to wish me Happy Mother's Day first and later in the evening just to talk. Daughter and I will work on gazebo one day next week and go to lunch! Love all my kids so much! Don't know what I would do without them.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day.
ReplyDeleteA nice new outfit is a good thing, even if it was more expensive than you might like. As I recall, you lost a bit of weight and had to size down your clothing. As well, you spent most of your days caring for home, yard, animals, and your husband for several years. As you will be spending less time wearing 'home clothing' to garden, clean, and more time out and about town, it will be good to have 'out and about' clothing for social occasions.
Happy Monday.
Hi Lynda, I had both of my eyes lasered for floaters some months after cataract surgery…I think most people have to do this….anyway, most of my friends have had to. It is no big deal and it’s a one time thing…they never returned! Glad you are getting this done!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you were beautifully dressed for Mothers Day and had a wonderful meal! You will definitely miss Son #2 when you move in August!! BUT….you are eager to return to the familiar and I get that❤️‼️
Hope you have a nice Monday! Karen (Eissa7)
It's Kathy. I'm glad you had a lovely Mother's Day! Mine was also very nice. My oldest daughter brought New York Strip steak and grilled it on our grill - and it was delicious. The best part - Tom and I could only eat 1/2 of one so we have another whole steak for tomorrow night! She stayed and visited with me for quite awhile too! Daisy and I have taken a very short walk today - the sun is just too hot already and it's not even noon yet! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! It’s going to be a rainy week in Ohio. I got lots of yard work done today which is nice. My ears are now buzzing. It must be allergies from being outside. Sweet Lopez! I am glad you got treated out yesterday in your lovely outfit. Good for you! Enjoy your evening. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYes, Miss Lilly is always busy sniffing @ this time of the year. Much to smell, apparently.
ReplyDelete*I* had that done after my cataract surgeries . . . Dr. had to laser both lenses. But no problems since then (and that was probably 6 yrs. ago.) Good luck.
I love it . . . be the person your dog things you are. AMEN!
Hugs and blessing
