Keep your Chin up--and Be Kind!

My advice to you--NEVER------EVER----EVER --give up!!!  Always "give it one more try"--because, in the end, we CAN do everything!!-----like the "little engine that could---Keep saying, "I think I can--""--"I think I Can"--==AND_____  Eventually, YOU CAN!!!

Well, it's a new day-- sun---sorta------  WE ARE A PART OF TO_DAY!--AND< big news here---  I MADE THE GIGANTIC-- HUGE--KING---- BED--Lordy Be!!--The "King" sheets are in the washer, chugging away--

\So,. yesterday was so amazing! You see, my cousin , and his wife, drove here, from Port Perry--(about an hour away)-We wemt to the Greek restaurant for lunch--  so, we could talk and visit, without Lopez barking at them--It was such a wonderful visit--full of memories , of growing up--I was sad to see them go--- In June, my brother  and his wife will be here-from  the U.S.  Family is so good to have close by---

Son#2 will be flying back from Britain to-day--He sent a picture of his hearty breakfast--- It looks wonderful!

--and, of course . the train station which he was in, en route back to the airport-

--so---- Of course, yesterday was the best day ever!--Isn't it always, when you have visitors??--NO TEARS!!!--

---Now, pictures from the "blast from the past"------Son #3 with Himself--
--and---the lakeshore, in Elliot,  in the Spring-

I must get moving here--always lots to do--sheets must go in the dryer- and little Lopez needs to go out--  Always lots to do isn't there?--Oh--one more picture -- I believe this was at Son#2's wedding--  There is my "Himself""-- celebrating  the wedding-----AND ME, beside him!!
I hope to-day you feel strong--- Positive thoughts--"Keep your chin up" as Dad always told me--and be kind--
- WE CAN DO THIS!

  1. It's Kathy. Love the photos! And yes, that looks like a wonderful breakfast. I loved when my son took me to Norway. Every hotel we stayed at had a HUGE breakfast buffet with everything all good Norwegians liked to eat! My favorite were the Waffles with Gjetost (a hard goat cheese that has a caramelized flavor). I found a recipe for Norwegian Waffles - one day I'll actually make them! My mom had to go to a Scandinavian grocery store to buy it when I was growing up, but I can buy Gjetost locally now! It's another beautiful day and I am ready to get outside and get more work done! I'm glad you enjoyed your family! It's nice to have visitors. Have a good day.

  2. So glad you got to visit with your cousins and have a nice Greek lunch. What did you have a gyro? I love them. We have a large Greek population or used to have in downtown Detroit. That is where we got the phrase Greektown. You'd say it and everyone would know where you are talking about. Aww poor Lopez, he should know better. Did you get all your things back? I think that was super of them to drive an hour from you, just so you have your things back. Are you and this cousin the same age? Is he from your Mother's or Father's side? Hope you have a great day today, it's grey and windy here in MI.

  4. I deleted my first comment because I forgot to answer a question you asked on your comments last night! Mothers Day is next Sunday. That day is always the second Sunday in May. Fathers Day is the second Sunday in June.
Hi, sis. I'm glad you had such a good day yesterday. I hope today will be good, too, even if you have no visitors.
The photos are great...as always. That breakfast would be 2 or 3 meals for me.
    The lakeshore? Amazing.
I just got back from getting my car's new windshield and the extra key fob. I still haven't figured out how to get the info I want to see on that big screen.
It's beautiful here, today. It seems that all of a sudden ALL THE TREES ARE GREEN! Looking for lilacs, too. The sky is a beautiful blue.
I'm still waiting on the biopsy results from my EGD.
Lucky missed me when I was gone so long. Better give him some attention and make an online grocery order.
I'll be back to check comments and updates later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  5. Hi Lynda! Good for you getting that big bed all done. You will sleep well tonight. So happy you enjoyed your company and a yummy Greek lunch. I had a gyro for dinner last night. The pilot always finds the best food. Rainy this afternoon in Ohio. So much rain the past week and everything is so green. Enjoy your evening. Hugs!

  7. Hi Lynda: Nice that you're getting to see some family members while you're closer to them. I got my dog a harness that closes with velcro straps because I couldn't get the clasps closed. It's from Ren's Pets and they are called RC Pets harnesses. Matt's breakfast looks really good. What does he think about you going back to EL so soon? Have a good night. Brenda
