Never stop trying!

Rain is falling--misty---  coolish--and once again, here I am---alone-(Well, with all of you!)--- Son#2 is back from Britain but taking his wife's daughter to the dentist--and I am expecting the pharmacy to deliver some meds --- prescribed by my Doctor in Elliot Lake. It will be so nice to get back to Elliot, with my own Doctor--my own Pharmacy-----people I am familiar with--
Anyway, here I sit---for 2 more months----then I can be "footloose and fancy-free", to do as I please, and get back to familiar territory--

Before I get carried away here, I must post a blast from the past--It is son#4 with Son#3 --many years ago , when we lived on MacFarlane Rd.,   in Elliot Lake--
These 2 children are all grown up now-with families of their own--

How are you all this A.M.??--Are you feeling strong?--Remember , before you head outside, to wear your clothes--
and--to always  be strong--- some days are more difficul to get through than others--
As Dad used to tell me, "Keep your chin up"-- because we can whatever we make our mind to--

  1. It's Kathy. I love the photo, very cute boys! Our children grow up way too quickly! We are having quite a string of beautiful days, I almost wish for some rain so I can stay inside and get some rest. So much to do outside! I hope you have a great day!

  2. It's Marge and finally no rain in St.Louis. it's very cool but we have SUNSHINE.
Oh I know you'll be glad to have your EL Dr. Back. Great.
The little sons...how very cute they were and still are.
My hope is that everything you hope and dream for in EL will be just as you want.
Have you decided to leave the packing to movers? Have you seen floorplans to figure out furniture placement?
Enjoy today!!! Keep your chin up and never give up. One day at a time.
Sending big hugs, lots of love and prayers.

  3. Good morning, Lynda.
It's a lovely day here: sun, no wind, and it will be 80F this afternoon!
Looks like you haven't read yesterdays comments yet, so I will repeat the answer I gave to a question you asked me day before yesterday. Mothers Day is the second Sunday in May, and Fathers Day is the second Sunday in June.
Love the photo of your two boys as tots. They're still as good looking today.
It's good that your pharmacy will deliver your meds to Lakeville. Soon you won't need to think about that.
You won't have as much to 'pare down' for this move. It may well be easier for you.
No mention if Lopez did his business yet. Fat is as bad for dogs as it is to us, but if you ever think he's constipated, put a bit of butter on your finger and let him click it off.
Still waiting on the results of my biopsidy done when I got my EGS 9 days ago. I'm about to check again, and will check back here again later on. {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie

  4. I wonder how often after the move that you'll find yourself on "automatic," driving toward your former home and not your new place. I know I'd be doing that, saying "oops" and making a U-turn to return to town.

  5. It is raining and gray in the mountains of Colorado today, but we need the moisture, so no complaints from me. It may turn into snow tonight.
Enjoy your time left in Lakefield, time is precious and so why not enjoy whatever your current town has to offer?
As to being alone, read, play the piano, maybe try doing a jigsaw puzzle. They are all things you can enjoy by yourself, and can keep your mind on something other than yourself and your worries. I put the app on my phone for Duolingo, and have been spending some time each day brushing up on my Spanish, but they have other languages too. With the situation in the United States, and living alone, I find that the more things I can do to keep my mind occupied, the better. Susan

  7. Marti here. It's raining here in Central Ohio (again). A steady downpour. So very dreary and depressing. It's rained since Friday, almost constantly. Yesterday we had a severe HAIL storm. Well, this is spring in May, for us. Lotsa rain for 3 weeks, then wham, heavy heat and humidity late May and for the rest of the summer. We really don't have very good weather here for very long, said to say.

I just walked my dog a bit ago. He ate and swallowed a dead baby bunny WHOLE. Yuck. I tried to get him to drop it, but I wasn't about to touch it.

  8. Rainy day and cool, but not cold here in MI. Grey skies all day, but is clearing out tonight. Tomorrow should be better. Going tomorrow to get an ultrasound on my stomach, liver and pancreas. Hoping all turns out ok, as I'm just a tad bit worried. Trying to figure out why I keep having right upper quadrant pain off and on. Sometimes bad and sometimes not, but more consistent now. Time will pass quickly, you just wait and see. I want it to move fast for you, but I want it to slow down for me because I don't want to rush Spring or Summer. I want to enjoy it this year, every bit of it. You take care of yourself, and hopefully you'll get a smile or two in today.

  9. Cool Spring day here, with clouds but no rain. Yesterday was cool, windy with rain.

Busy weekend, and out with friends yesterday. Today was gym and trainer day ... I am tired, and can feel the muscles. But I'm glad to be working out; want to stay functionally fit as long as possible.

    Happy Tuesday.

  10. Hope it turned out to be a good day for you. Love the pictures you share. I know the days feel hard, but you are doing a great job of getting through the sadness and loss. Hang in there. Give yourself time. Even on teary days you are moving forward with your plans, taking care of your pets and yourself. You encourage your readers daily. You truly are a strong person. Hope you have sunshine and signs of spring tomorrow.

I love your old pictures. I was looking at some of my mom since today would have been her birthday. I still miss her, and I have a picture of her & me on a Carousel in St. Joe. on my computer. I say "good morning " to her every day. We took it on May 6,2012. By Aug. of that year she will be gone. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday. Have a good day. It will be sunny here in Michigan on the 7th. Your Friend Bev

  12. Typing this on my new iPad that I had to run out and buy yesterday because one of my cats was rubbing his ear and whispers on the corner of m y laptop and he turned and chomped down on the corner and teeth marks on the very edge! Now I have to go to St Louis to the Apple Store to have the screen replaced as it no longer would light up! Good thing I bought the insurance plan when I got my new computer !
