There will never be anyone quite like you!

Good morning   --very cool here this AM--only 9 degree--but sunny--  but---s there is hope-I believe it will go up to about 22 degrees C,  or----52 degrees  F ---which will be nice.

Every  night, before bed, I check any messages on my phone-- There were a couple of messages which I answered--or--thought I had answered--but no reply came back to me, which I thought was odd--but , people are busy, so I just went to sleep--This morning the phone told me that it had been put in "airplane mode", which I  had done by mistake I guess, so, no messages were going thru--I have never noticed that before, but now will be more aware of me doing this mistake and check for that. I use the cell phone a lot, but --- I am not the smartest person on my cell--I guess for some reason (or no reason!)-I had it set on "Airplane mode"--which does not send messages--

The King and Queen were in Ottawa yesterday--Son #2 flew into Ottawa yesterday also--He took the pictures  shown here -I did watch them on the TV--  It must be so hard for them to shake so many hands which they did as soon as they landed--

Lopez has not been out yet--but--we do have sunshine--with a chance of showers again to-morrow. This has been a very wet Spring!

So, I know it is early, but--how are you??--  I hope that you are feeling "Hunky Dory"--Just remember--there will never be anyone  like you!  That is "your" power-----Use it to-day to help someone get thru their day--Tell them that they possess the power to be strong--You are "UNIQUE"--They might not realize that!

Have a good day--Don't allow the crazies to get you down!--and remember --

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
    Happy Tuesday!
That's a pretty cool picture your son took of the King and Queen.
As for the records your nephew brought you, maybe go through them and see if there is any you want to keep. You might see if there is a vintage record store around, some of those old albums are worth some money.
Hope Lopez is ok from the dust up with the other dog. I am sure that was scary for you and frightening for him.
Saying No is ok and better to say it than be stressed out because you didn't and wish you had.
    Have a good one!

  2. It's Kathy. I'm not very good with my cell phone either. Sometimes I miss the good old telephones that were plugged into the wall - not as convenient I suppose but you always knew where it was! We have a mild but dreary day - lots of rain all around us but will probably miss us. I'm glad of that because I still have so much garden to prep! Daisy and I will go out later this morning. I heard about the King & Queen visiting Canada supporting the Prime Minister in keeping Canada it's own country - which is how it should be! Have a great day.

  3. Oh I’ve made that mistake w/my cell phone, too. It happens. Glad you discovered it, though.

Have a dental appointment for oral surgery in about an hour. Will be glad when that’s over.

And for sure, cannot allow the crazies (and there are LOTS of them) to get me down!

    Hugs and blessings

  4. Good morning, Lynda! It is cloudy but high 68 in Ohio! It’s a sleepy day. I had an iced coffee yesterday that they could not make decaf. I went to sleep at 4 am! Live and learn. Sorry about your phone. My mom has problems with her phone. She made the display screen go dark the other day and called me which is hard to fix over the phone at times. Your son got a great pic of the King and Queen. Not sure how anyone flies in a plane. I could never! I have to be in control. Lol! Have a terrific Tuesday! Hugs!

  5. Hi Lynda
    Yes, I'm honky dory today.
Most people with cell phones have accidentally hit the airplane mode. Glad you figured it out.
The world is maybe grateful there's no others just like me lol.
Still cool in St.Louis too. It's not raining, for a change, but overcast.
I do hope you have an amazing day.
Thank you for always brightening my day. You are my sunshine.
    Big hugs. Much love

  6. Hi, sis. You were early...I'm a bit late.
I had to go to the Veterans hospital to get my staples out. First time I've used their transportation to pick me up and bring me home. It worked out well.
Now I've just eaten 1/2 a sandwich and am ready for a nap with Lucky.
It's rainy here, too...on and off. If the sun peeks out, it's just briefly.
By now, Lopez has been out and done his business.
We can choose to be strong (as you and I have needed to be) and happy. That's what I'm choosing to be today. The mobility gets a bit better and the pain gets a bit worse every day.
Hope your day proceeds like you'd like to to. We need those warmer temperatures.
Checking back later, I am {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Hello. I guess I'm not very strong - I've never claimed to be. I had to go have an EMG because my left arm falls asleep every night, my hand itches horribly, and it's hard to get to sleep at times - you probably know what they are. They are testing your nerves and muscles, and they keep shocking you over and over. It was truly terrible, even tho everyone said it wasn't very bad. I yelped every time and jerked. Then to make things worse, she stuck needles in my muscles of my arm and neck to test the muscles, I don't like needles, so that was very unpleasant also. The tests came back - diabetic neuropathy, and some delayed nerves or something in my arms. We'll see what the doc says. I don't watch my sugars very well, I know that. Unfortunately, I want to eat what I want to eat. :(

So I'm sure your day was better than mine!
