Good Morning-- -It is Tuesday, December 30th--freezing temperatures here--We have extreme cold temperatures ---but--0ur power is still on so we are very fortunate --- A lot of Ontario are without power in Ontario right now!-- The storm that went thru here left a lot of snow and ice everywhere.
As it says above, as I get older, I have good days and bad days----Right now my vehicle looks like it is buried in snow--no garage to protect it from the weather!--- which means I must start it soon --let it ruin to melt the ice that is covering it--Seems to me there are more bad days in the winter ----
It is kinda sad that Christmas is over for another year. Do you feel like that?---We do so much to get ready for "the big day" and then--poof--it is over!- Anyway--Words of Wisdom--
#1.--He who laughs, lasts--
#2.-Meet your obligations-
#3.-Never put off till to-morrow what you can do to-day--
Son #2-- a blast from the pastSo--are you happy and you know it??--Are you feeling strong?----Laughter really does help us get thru the day-- TRY It!----
Good morning, sis!
ReplyDeleteit's cold here, too, and due to get much colder tomorrow. It's snowing lightly. Tomorrow more snow is predicted with a low of 2F.
I'm with you that there are more 'bad' times in the winter. Not whole days, though. We can find happy thoughts anytime. Think of how good it feels to come in from the cold.
Yes, Christmas is over for another year, but nex is New Year's Eve and Day. Then comes St. Valentines, St. Patrick, Easter, Memorial Day in the Us...and it goes on. Always a holiday to look forward to.
Love the wagon filled with grandkids...and the photos of the 'boys,' too.
I have lots of interesting (well, satisfying once they're done) things to do today...garbage, etc, laundry, kitchen floors, laundry. And always books, games on kindle or pc, loving on my kitty, etc. And maybe even a nap. I may do some shopping so I don't have to go out tomorrow.
Back later, Lynda, sis of my heart...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Ohhhhh Maggie--such a mixed up day--but--I did get out--Dave and I went out for lunch--Dave is Son#1's friend--but alone--like me--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I agree, the best vacation from this crazy world has to be laughter! I am actually looking forward to the new year and hoping that it will be a better year for me than 2025! Things have been so challenging with all my back issues, but I'm finally starting to feel a bit better - or at least I'm convincing myself of that! Have a wonderful day and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHappy that yu are feeling better--Lynda
DeleteCold here in NC, but nothing like you have there. Do you have a generator at your new place like you did at the lakehouse? If not, have you made plans for if the power goes out for an extended period?
ReplyDeleteno--no generator-- here--but-- I wen to Andrews and he has one--Lynda
DeleteHi, just a day here. Work, and then a doctor's appt after that, and a swing by the pharmacy. I finally got PAID today and have money again, it almost makes me nervous b/c I don't know where all to send it next. My credit card is maxed out, but I don't want to be hurting like I was at the end of this month. I need to build up my savings, which has $10 in it, but not too much. I have a dept store credit card to pay off, too. Xmas always comes at a big cost, doesn't it seem? Now I got dig out from under all the debt!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is my last work day until after the New Year! Yay for that!
Marti
Ohhhhh Marti--Yu made it thru Christmas---not easy-- coz we want go give everyone something--maybe next yr they all need a hug--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your words of wisdom. Love your daily shares.
Laughter is great medicine. It actually feels good to laugh.
The cold temps and winds are extreme here too but we don't have the "S" stuff youve got.
Yes, not having a garage
is a bummer. I appreciate my garage. Be careful out there with the ice while digging out the car..
The wagon of grandkids is sweet.
Im glad Christmas is over but also a bit sad....it seemed to be over so quickly. Yes, I spent more than I planned to spend.
I hope 2026 is a better year; a healthy, happy, safe year
Hoping you're doing fine since you're forced to stay in. Spring is coming.
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
