It is Sunday, December 21st--after 7am-- cold outside and dark--and yes, we must believe in ourselves--- and-- yes, I am here--blogging--no more time off here--LOL-----
It seems like a very cold morning outside -I can feel the cold coming in the house-Yesterday it snowed ALL day--The guy who I hired , to plough never appeared---so--I shovelled--and shovelled--all day--and I did a fairly good job --There is a lot of snow which falls here--I had forgotten that Elliot Lake, maybe because of all the lakes in the area, Elliot Lake gets a lot of snow!----Gil, the person I hired with a snow blower could not come-- His truck's "bearings" were shot--- so could not load the snowblower onto it---Anyway, me and my trusty shovel did a good job!---I guess one does what one must do, to get a job done--some jobs are harder than others--I tried to visit Son#3 so I could chat with his 2 grown up daughters, home from University-took a chance-drove over there, but that did not work out--It was "Gramma", wanting to see the Granddaughters--LOL---YU win sometimes and yu lose sometimes--and yu don't sweat the small stuff--
Good morning, Lynda! It’s our fave day! My bed is in the wash. Is yours?LOL! Cold but sunny in Ohio. Snow is gone, yay! It’s ok you didn’t blog a bit! My goodness, you are busy and it is OK! We miss you but you have a lot to do! A “one” woman show as they say! I remember the dogs eating each others meals, too. LOL! Have a lovely day and try to rest! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear yu say I have a lot to dol---- It's because I am alone--so have to "Do It All"--Fred used to help me--I never realized how much he did!---Now when I finally crawl into bed at night , I am "pooped"--LOLOL---I always tell him that I miss him- He used to share the chores----My son told me that it is not eazy "living alone"--AND--He is right--a lot of responsibility--=-=- Anyway, it is what it is--so--=appreciate your "spouse"----= Yes-- When I "dog-sat"-=-=Apollo would eat everyone's food--====was a challenge--LOL_--Yu have a good memory--So--=appreciate your Mom and Dad--'specially the one left--the survivor-=-=LOL---Life for them is not eazy!--LOL---
DeleteGood morning, sis!
ReplyDeleteIt's bright and beautiful here...BUT only 6F!
Love the photos...especially the group one of you visiting your brother.
I sent gift cards to my sons and their families...the 2 in the Chicago area and the doctor one in California. The one to him did not go through. He changed his phone number and left me out of the loop! I messaged my (doctor) daughter-in-law to ask how I can get it to them.
Not many plans for me today...maybe another load of laundry. I have blankets I want to wash.
I really wish you didn't have to do all that shoveling!!! It's hard enough for a younger person. Hopefully Gil gets his bearings fixed quickly. Maybe he can get a 'loaner' from the fix-it place while his truck is being repaired.
All for now, my wonder woman friend. I'll be back later, of course.
{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie--Am I really your "Wonder Woman" Friend??--LOLOL_-I wish I would not do the shovelling also---- but---it is what it is--LOL--"Blame Fred"--LOL---Poor guy!--He wasn't supposed to die!-=-== I must admit---I am "pooped" by bedtime--LOL--
DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteYou seem to shovel as much now as you did at the big house. I think the boys got your snowblower....hint hint guys....mom can use some help. Sorry the guy you hired didn't come. BUT. You got out. Too bad granddaughters weren't available to visit. Next time, call first?
Very cold in St.Louis but dry. On Christmas Day the forecast is for 70sF...HOW CRAZY IS THAT.
Have a great day. Enough shoveling.
Marge
THe boys do have my snowblower---- and I sure do miss it---Stay strong--- because life is not eazy when the spouse dies----Yes it was a sad evening last night--tired at night--but---maybe Spring will get here early??----hard without Fred!-=- Lynda
DeleteGood Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt won't be long before Christmas day is here.
Well, that's a bummer your plow guy wasn't able to clean your drive way. Hopefully, he gets his truck repaired soon or you may have to find someone else to do the job.
It's in the home stretch for Christmas and I have such a busy week ahead, it's stressing me out a bit. Luckily, I have a massage scheduled for Tuesday and I will need it.
I bet that Lopez isn't enjoying the snow so much. He's so tiny it wouldn't take much snow to be too deep for him. Would love to see some pictures of Lopez and Sushi.
Don't overdo the shoveling and stay warm!
Hugs,
Jackie
