To-day is Wednesday, December 31st-- It is "NOT" snowing-- so--I am heading over to the grocery store--It opened at 8am--I need groceries and I thought I'd make a run for it before it begins to snow again--It is very cold here outside-- horrible really-- So-I shall see you all in a bit--Lynda
I have returned--Above, is a picture of Son#2 and myself--This was taken when Son#2 flew Fred and I out to Vancouver---with Allison, our daughter--She flew in from Hawaii--and the 4 of us had a wonderful holiday--stayed at the Westin by Stanley Park and we biked all over--a holiday, not planned--, but it turned into a wonderful few days, which I will never forget--So to-day will be a different type of blog--kinda just "off the cuff"-but--I did want you all to know that in spite of having a very busy type of day, that I missed you all and so am trying to write some sort of blog so you know that I am thinking of you all---
To-morrow night is New Yrs Eve--Do you celebrate it?--We never really did--but--it is a good time to make New Yrs resolutions--(which I never ever kept!)
So, are you ready to celebrate the New Year?Do you celebrate the New Year?
I must get offa here--Allison is calling me--Matt is texting me and Lopez needs to get out--No place to go to-morrow so this blog shall return to normal--I love hearing from all of you--and I hope that you all are happy--and well----Big Hugs, Lynda
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteNot snowing here, either, but it is cloudy and just barely over freezing.
Here's a link for you and Sushi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqMG_9cvjZE copy and paste it...who knew this stuff? I am thankful for cat behaviorists and vets.
I'll be back later, too! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I need to visit that site--a mixED uP DAY HERE-Lynda
DeleteGood Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get out. It sounded like you were a little snowed in, with all the snow you got.
It's low 30's here and cloudy but it feels like low 20's. We will be getting some snow later this evening. I don't have anything scheduled for the rest of the week. So glad because the last two weeks were crazy busy.
Wishing you, Lopez and Sushi a lovely New Years Eve!
Hugs,
Jackie
Hi Jackie--just back home--busy day but managed to say hello to yu all--added to the blog-LyndA
DeleteWe are in a slightly above average day here, after two slightly under average temperature days. The roller coaster of winter temperatures! Anyway, it got over 40 yesterday, so most of the dusting of snow has melted or blown away.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a chance to get out and hope you safely got yourself and the groceries home in the cold!
Wishing you, Lopez and Sushi a peaceful and safe and warm New Year's Eve and on into 2026. Happy New Year!
Wishing you the same Barb--Yes-I managed to get out--get grocerie also-- Happy New Year-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, I need to go get groceries too.
ReplyDeleteI had a scary night. I have two tall bottles, one is for my Metformin diabetes medicine. I had just got new bottles and I mixed it up with another medicine, so I ended up with too low of a blood sugar, at 2 am. It went below 50, tried to treat it, but it wouldn't go much higher, and ended up calling the squad. By the time they came, it had gone back up - I had taken 3 tablespoons of honey after taking my two glucose tablets. Living alone, I was afraid to go to sleep and it dipping too low. I decided to just stay home today, as I had hardly any good sleep.
Happy New Year to you, you've gotten thru the worst, and may life continue to look up for you in the coming year!
Marti

DeleteHi Lynda, I'm glad you let us know you were going grocery shopping and now you've returned. I'm happy to hear that you managed to get groceries in case the weather doesn't improve and you're forced to stay home. Wishing you a happy and blessed New Year, Lynda. You are such a strong woman and loved by all of us.

ReplyDeleteWishing you the best always but especially wishing you a happy, healthy 2026.
Nope..not going out to do any celebrating. Here at home in warm jammies and will go to bed at normal time.
Still cold and cloudy in St.Louis. Very dreary.
You are such an inspiration. I so admire your strength and positivity. You and Fred created such a wonderful, loving family.
Hoping 2026 is your best year ever.
Big hugs
