Be the Leading Lady , of your own life!

-another sunny day---  another day to get it right--"A NEW DAY"----  AND here we are--a part of it!--We are so so fortunate!---Yesterday, Himself's niece, drove here from Toronto--She arrived  for lunch with all sorts of Dim Sum, from Toronto, and spent the day. It was wonderful!----  I took her on a walk thru the village here--on the walking trails--It was a good day!!

Here she is, with  Emma,  Son#3's daughter---

And she did agree with me, that moving back to Elliot Lake is a good idea--where I lived for nearly all my 59 married years--Yes, Himself and I were married 59 years!---And I spoke to Retirement Living", there , in Elliot Lake, and yes, I am allowed to put a wee fence around the yard--for Lopez of course, and I also called a couple of friends. who helped me with "upgrading the family home" and yes, they will help me move in--hook up the washer etc-----

I shall be able to garden ---well at least prepare a couple of  small beds for next year-----  and my Hummingbirds --I wonder if the present tenants living there, ever fed them?----

So, life does go on---and on, --in spite of the sadness we all go thru with people close to us, who,  have to call it quits here, and go on to better things in Heaven--and they didn't even ask  us if it was alright--(One day I will have to talk to Him about that!---  Why did he leave me behind?)

So---- "WE "  have a whole day to enjoy--"TO-DAY  is waiting--- So get on your Way!"---And--remember, we are strong people---We CAN be happy --

Always-- - be the LEADING LADY  of  your own life!

                                                                WE CAN BE THIS!!

  2. So nice that your niece came to visit! You sound very excited about your upcoming move as you made plans to get lots of things done! I am starting to get excited about my completely renovated house. Have ordered all new cabinets, flooring, and appliances - so many decisions when you have to replace everything! I just feel too old to be making all these major decisions and I think you can relate! My problem is that I would like to make everything like it was but that is not possible because the house is 26 years old and they don’t make the exact same things like ceiling fans - everything is new and modern looking, of course!.

  5. Good morning, sis!
You had a great day yesterday! That makes me happy.
I had a bit less of one. Today I may need to make a long drive to pick up JoAnne from the biggest hospital in Minneapolis.
I am enjoying a buffet brunch tomorrow with my daughter and grandson. They are coming to my town for a change.
I am gratified that you will have lots of help when you move. That's what friends are for! Remember the song by that name?
The photo of your niece-in-law and granddaughter is great! You have wonderful photo memories.
The weather here is blue and beautiful. Some of the flowering trees are blooming, but not quite my lilacs yet. Soon, though. I will be gathering them for myself and several of our other residents here.
I hope your eyes are better, too.
I must give my Lucky some attention now. He probably wants me to play with him with his wands. Then I will get some sorting out of my closet done before time to leave to get JoAnne. Hopefully, I will still have some energy left for karaoke tonight. Jo will not go, though.

  8. It's Kathy. I love that first meme and I so needed to read that today. I have so much to do and only enough energy to do about 1/3 of it all! But that's better than nothing - I'm trying to convince myself of that! Today Daisy and I walked FROM HOME! The loop is just a little more than a mile and we did it in 35 minutes. Feels like a miracle! And of the 2 of us - Daisy was more tired out than I was! She's taking a well deserved nap right now! How nice to have a visit with your niece! It does break up the day! And I'm glad you have some people who are willing to help you move back into your new home in Elliot Lake! 59 years is quite an accomplishment! Tom and I are coming up to 30 and it feels like a lifetime! Have a good day.

I love that you've lined up HELP after you move. The boys work so you'll need help.
Your working on plans yay. I do hope you'll dedicate some time to really being sure you want to move whatever. Are you having movers pack?
69 years is a beautiful testament to commitment. Blessed.

  11. Hello, it's Marti. A beautiful day here in Central Ohio. 74 and sunny. A rare nice day! I walked over to the complex next door with Jake, they were mulching the condos over there. A mid afternoon nap, and then errands, but it was nice being out in the sunshine. A good true crime on tonight, hopefully, to watch. I'm glad you had company! Hooray!

  12. The hummingbirds will survive and find another food source if the new owner does not put out feeders, so do not worry about them. Glad you had company visit!
