Fake it till you make it!

and we have rain---AGAIN!!---but, I read online that it might be clearing later---We have had at least a week of steady rain, so seeing the sunshine , one day, someday, would be wonderful! I suppose the rain , helps the grass grow--the flowers  also---April showers bring May flowers---
When I walk Lopez, I meet every Tom , Dick, and Henry. Everyone has a dog--some have large dogs, most have very small dogs. I speak to everyone, and they all chat back----I mostly warn them that Lopez will bark at them and I am sorry--They mostly say, "He is protecting you"--Everyone is friendly---Some comment that Lopez isn't barking as much as he used to, and they are right. Lopez is beginning to accept that there are many canine friends on the walking trails. These trails are all paved --and most trees have a memorandum, at the foot of them, in memory of a person who has passed.-----
I suppose all these neighbourhood dogs, help these seniors to get out and walk--good exercise, and the trails make life easier for everyone.
The above is a good picture of Himself, with Son #2. It was taken out in NovaScotia along the ocean --   many moons ago---- I found it in my "oldies but goldies"-----Himself looked so healthy there!
So, did you have a good nights sleep last night? I certainly hope so! --  If you did, you will feel so much better this morning. It makes such a difference in your day to-day!
--and be strong---  "Fake it till you make it""---  I heard that somewhere--  Pretend to be strong, and soon you WILL feel strong--

I hope that your day will be the best ever---and it will be if you decide to make it that way___I shall check in on you all later---GET UP----  GET OUT--- It is a brand new day-----and here we are--a part of it!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! Happy Sunday! It is our favorite day. Sunny in Ohio and the birds are singing. Tommy is starting to do better with barking. He is 2 but my 9 year old has a big mouth. Lol! Yes, fake it til we make it. I guess I better get to the coffee pot and do a few Sadie things. You have a fabulous day! Hugs!

  2. Happy Sunday Lynda!
Sounds like you are having the weather we have had over the past few weeks here in the Cincinnati metro area. We will be rain free for a few days here. Good for grilling out tomorrow on Memorial day. Yay!
Nice pic of himself and Son #2.
Maybe Lopez is getting a little more chill as he gets a little older and is exposed to other dogs.
    Have a great day!

  3. Hi Lynda, raining again in St.Louis too. Too chilly for the pools to open.
Nice picture of himself and son.
Especially liked the Lucy insert and the last one.

    Have a pleasant, relaxing Sunday.
    Do you play your piano?
    Stay positive and strong.
    Big hugs

  4. Checking in with reading several of your latest blogs....my life is so upside down with all this house renovation mess that I just don't seem to have any down time. Still cutting grass at the house and now have to cut here at the little rental house.....plus I spent last week opening the pool.....I felt like it would be a terrible waste to keep it covered and not used this year just because the house is unlivable this summer, but alas, it is even more work for me! But I am not complaining. Well, actually I am! hahaha! But mostly I am just thankful that I still am able to keep up with everything! I do sleep really well as I am exhausted and fall asleep with my computer in my lap in the evenings. So now you know why I haven't been reading your blogs daily! So happy to hear about your eyes being layered and your good vision restored. Just a miracle that they can do things like that now! Headed for my grandson's high school graduation party this afternoon. Was hoping it would be sunny, but it is cloudy and raining lightly. Have another grandson who graduates from high school next Sunday! Lots of birthdays this month too! Glad to hear you are beginning to pack some things up! August will be here before you know it!

    1. I guess spell check didn't like "lasered" as it changed to layered! Made me laugh! I should proof read before I send something, but I never remember to do that! Sandra

  6. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, we had that rain for several days. I was frustrated I couldn't get out and work in the gardens, but I did enjoy hanging out inside and reading! We now have a stretch of warmer days although the sunshine has gone behind the clouds now. I did have a fairly good night's sleep but am dealing with dizziness. My doctor said to do some physical therapy - learn how to get the stones in my ears settled in the right place. Who knew there were stones in our ears - probably you since you were a nurse. I have learned that it's important for me to read everything the doctors write because they don't always explain things in a way for me to understand. Wishing you a wonderful afternoon. Oh, glad Lopez isn't barking as much. Daisy is very selective - sometimes she barks if the person or dog looks like a threat to her mom, other times she wants to make friends! Our dogs are pretty smart!

  7. A pleasant day here, though the sun has gone under clouds. John and I went to his church, about a 40 min drive away, maybe less, and the two pastor's children graduated yesterday, they had a special little something afterwards to honor them, they just got up and said some things, and tomorrow is the church Memorial Day picnic, and we are going. It's not going to be too hot, so that I can go. I can't do heat at all. Might be a little hot, 72 degrees, but partly cloudy. I need to go out to weed in a little bit. We just ate our Memorial Day food, I nuked some hotdogs and we had some potato salad and baked beans. Hope you're having a good day! Marti

  8. HERE WE GO AGAIN. It didn't kee[ my comment. Oh, well. I am home, but still almost always hurting. My daughter is coming tomorrow to help with bed, laundry, etc. My Lucky is very clingy and won't leave my side.
Glad you are ok. {{{HUGS}}} Locw, your sis, Maggie
