I sat in front of a machine , with about 50 other people-waiting for this machine to turn on-- -men and women.--- I looked into the machine and all sorts of banging and various colours whipped crossed my eyes--and voila--- I was helped up out of the chair--and they helped me out to a waiting room where I sat for about a half hour, and then I was helped down to the car, and came home here.
The sun outside was very blinding--- but, by the time we drove home here, I could see--clearly--It was like a miracle! Apparently they Lazar-ed the lenses in my eyes--took off anything stuck to them blocking my vision--and NOW I CAN SEE--VERY CLEARLY!--It is a miracle!--- And yesterday, I DROVE MYSELF TO THE GROCERY STORE!---They say this procedure can only be done once!
We have a big rain system to-day that is just hanging around--so, again, we have a rainy day here with sub zero temperatures!
Yesterday I did not get a blog done--I just was so so happy that all the blurriness had vanished from my eyes, that I could not sit still long enough to get a blog in--To-day I just had to tell you all about this wonderful new procedure--Lord Love A Duck!
-It feels like someone has given me a gift--well, the gift of sight--
So, to-day, should we choose happiness?--- I feel the "gift of sight" is a wonderful thing to happen! It is really a miracle!
I must read all your comments from way back when--and no matter the weather, I just know that to-day will be wonderful---especially if we -STAY STRONG!--
Good morning Lynda
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you.
Stay strong and positive.
Lovr and hugs

Hi Marge--Life is good isn't it--in spite of the rain--Lynda
DeleteHappy Friday, Lynda!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the laser surgery has helped your eyesight. That must be wonderful to see everything more clearly. Enjoy all the sights and your day!

Jackie--I CAN SEE--- Lynda

DeleteSO GLAD YOU COULD HAVE IT DONE! Take care.
ReplyDeleteso good to see--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! It is chilly but sunny in Ohio! I told my husband you did not blog and I bet you were just running around taking in all the lovely colors with your new eyes! Good for you! Have a fabulous Friday! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLOL--I WAS admiring the colours opf the world-- truly amazing! Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm so glad it worked so well, and was painless. I'm pretty sure I'll need to have that done in a few years, already my left eye is giving me trouble. The eye doctor says to use eye drops but that really doesn't help much. Just one more thing to take care of, I guess. We are finally having a string of really nice weather - soon Daisy and I will go outside and keep working to get the garden ready! So much to do and so little energy to do it! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy--- These eyes eh??--- lotza problems--but so good when they are clear!--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, your procedure was vastly different than mine. My Opthalmalogist performed the procedure for me and I needed it only for one eye. Good for you driving yourself to your appointment and the store. Keep on keeping on.
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
No Maureen--both eyes--- here! But they got rid of "that fuzz"---but also told me it is a one time procedure--Nice to see now--AND TO DRIVE! Lynda
DeleteAs I said once before, I had it done twice in one of my eyes, several years apart, so I know it can be done more than one time. Never say never. It was an Opthamologist who did it both times so he knew what he was doing. So glad all is looking better for you. Dot
ReplyDeleteDot it truly is a miracle eh?--They can clear your vision--Lynda
DeleteYes! I found the laser experience to be interesting – all kinds of noises and colors! A laser light show, if you will. Main thing . . . it cleared up the foggy vision! So glad it worked for you!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Weekend Warrior Baby again. Fabulous!
Hugs and cheers for the return of clear vision!

Barb--=a miracle for sure--restores yer vision-Lynda
DeleteSo happy, sis, that you can see clearly now! I haven't heard of that procedure done here.
ReplyDeleteGuess what? My insurance company is discharging me from this facility. They will send therapists to my apartment. My apt is overcrowded. I will not be able to get around with this walker! Getting mail, garbage out, changing my bed, getting clothes to the laundry room. even scooping litter...it all seems impossible! Friends will help, but they have their own stuff. I have not been able to sign up with any senior's organization for household help.
Oh, well. I will deal i guess...and be happy. I will be with Lucky again!
I will check later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie, maybe I have no business asking you, but I'm wondering what happened to you to end up in a facility? I don't recall you mentioning. Anyway, glad you are getting out - Marti
DeleteI fractured and needed surgery on my hip. Needing physical therapy, they let me come to the facility across from my apartment building. It has wings for rehab (PT and OT), medical care and hospice.
DeleteYes Maggie--a little at a time--and yes, you CAN do it--- People have no idea how hard it is for us when we age--- just do it--a wee bit at a time-- I know yu can!--Hugs--Lynda
DeleteThat's fabulous!! Yours sounds super easy. I had 2 procedures this month to take away cataracts. One on each eye!! Donna_cps2 Lansing, IL
ReplyDeleteYes I had the cataracts removed a few yrs back-- maybe 3 yrs ago--and the fuzziness now , was a result (so they say now) of that surgery--just remember te fuzziness can be cleared--Lynda
DeleteMarti here. I've never heard of that many people all lined up like that for their eyes. I had cataract surgery a long time ago and they say my left eye has some scar tissue in there that needs zapped, but they won't do it yet because they said insurance would not pay for it yet, or something like that. So I hafta wear my glasses at night, when driving, or watching tv, because it's just too blurry.
ReplyDeleteMarti--Go to a Opthamologist and he can get rid of that blurriness-- They told me the blurriness was a result of the cataract surgery--I can see now--like normal--Lynda
DeleteSo happy for your miracle of sight ✨Carol in FL
ReplyDeleteWow! Was it as good as after the first cataract surgery? So happy for you. Sight really is a blessing!
