Oh my Lord- I turned on the computer and all sorts of horrible stuff came across the screen--Lordy Be!! So I said a prayer and turned it off--All this kinda drives one crazy--Was I really infected??--Was it a scam??-- Lord love a duck! It is enough to turn off the computer ---forever-----
So what is new??--= Well, Lopez and I "hoofed " it to the pet store yesterday--and we bought a new harness for the wee boy----and it fits hm nice and tight---like will not come off in an emergency-- The only trouble was, I did not know how to get it off of him, so--he slept in it--which was OK--but--it worried me in the night--I kept getting up and checking him--
It is a sunny Sunday here--To-day I shall try to be "hunky dory"---Can we all be that way??--or--are we all, schmorky-dorky -?--I do guess we are all just plain normal!-Son#2 just called from Britain-said there was a full aircraft going there, but only 2 pilots---I'm sure he will send pictures soon---
So, how was my "yesterday"?----Not very good! -Funny how some days are fine--- and then I hit a "cry all day" day--and---the cry all day day"" takes all your energy-""--Hopefully these "cry all day" days -will go away soon--I pray that they will! --So, I am reading the books sent from you people on how to be a "Happy Widow"-- Anyway, hopefully yer day will be the greatest day ever!--- You CAN make it that way--positive thoughts--
A little picture from the past---I believe the dog was Willow--the wee child was Hannah, who is now finishing up her University degree--Time flies doesn't it??
I must get Lopez out AGAIN__Walk the wee fellow ---- Will you make to-day the best day ever??--If you try to----so will I!!
So, my cousin comes to-day, from Port Perry--hopefully I can take them out for lunch.
Good morning, Lynda.
ReplyDeleteWe both have great weather. It's sunny here and by this afternoon, it will be warm enough to open the windows.
I am sorry you had a bad day yesterday! Mine was pretty good, but we had to leave karaoke early cuz JoAnne didn't feel well.
We have to get through the negative stuff to get to the good stuff. There are always memories to get us through (not the kind that make us cry)...like that photo of you, Hannah and the dog. And your memories of Elliot Lake.
Books, music, dancing...all help. But I wonder if you're reading too much about being a widow...those maybe in themselves make you cry? You could maybe tuck them away for a while.
It will be marvelous to have a visit with your cousin and his wife! Lunch out sounds good.
I got laundry done yesterday. One more load, maybe today.
I'm hungry. Haven't had that yet. I'll go get it and check back here later.
Your meme is right...we are the ones that make changes in our lives! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Well, Miss Maggie--Is this Mothers Day??--I dunno--out of touch here-=- and we have sunshine now--looking like a lovely day-LyndA
DeleteGood Morning,
ReplyDeleteAnother rainy, drizzly, dreary day here. It's supposed to last until Tuesday. Ugh!
How was your hair appointment?
If you bought the harness for Lopez at the pet store, you can go back in there and they can show you the easiest way to put it on and take it off. I am sure they will be happy to help you.
Enjoy your visit with your cousin today!
Jackie
Jackie I figured out how to get it on him--It slides over his head and he seems to likes it-- safer too--Seems he cant get out of it--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, hoping today will be a good one. Lunch put sounds great.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Mother's Day yet. Coming up Sunday, May 11.
Lynda, please give yourself grace. Crying is normal. If you didn't cry, I'd wonder. Big squeeze hug. You are loved very much.
Likely pet store can show you how to get harness off. Maybe it comes off the same as it went on...over head? No idea lol
I've decided to make today good! Hoping you will too. Cute inserts
Hannah, dog and you...precious picture.
Stay strong and fabulous. One foot in front of the other.
Hope computer is fine. Sometimes just turning off and unplugging helps.
Safe travels for Matt. I'm hoping one day you can fly with him.
Cloudy, chilly but more rain on the way in St.Louis. The worms are drowning.
Big hugs, much love and prayers
Marge
OK--Mothers Day May 11th--Thank yu--Yes--but--too many tears--=They just do not stop!--So nice to see my cousin and his wife-- -- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Love the photo of Willow & Hannah with you. Yes, the years go by so quickly. My first grandchild and only granddaughter turned 18 last December and is just finishing her Freshman year in college. It feels like just last year I went done to help Mom cope with a first newborn! We are having a lovely day and as soon as I finish up here I will be going outside to work more in my gardens. They need so much work! Have a lovely day with your cousin and wife!
ReplyDeleteOh I need to get to Elliot to work up a garden--By the time I move it might be too late--- Oh well--- Always good to hear from yu---Lynda-
DeleteOh I had to chuckle because Miss Lilly slept in her harness last night, too. She was fine. I couldn’t get the clip to open – my fingers w/arthritis were just beasts. But she is fine. Lopez will be, too.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, just let those tears flow. They are cathartic.
Oh my gosh. What a wonderful photo from the past and time sure does fly by fast . . . faster each year.
Have a wonderful visit w/your cousin.
Hugs

Miss Lily kept her hartness on also--LOL--Ill tell Lopez--Lynda
DeleteWishing you a good day today Lynda. Just take it a day at a time, or an hour by hour thing. I know that there isn't any easy solution adjusting to your situation, and I don't think there is a guide you can follow. Some days will be good and some not so. I'm hoping you have a wonderful time with your cousin and his wife. It is always nice to have company.
ReplyDeleteSo so good that Gordon took the time to come here-- so nice to see him and his wife to-day--I took them out for lunch-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Happy Sunday! Our favorite day of the week. Cool and cloudy in Ohio. I hope you enjoy your company today. I know you will. You should come to Medina soon. I would love that and it would make the time go by faster before your move. Have a lovely day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYu know that is a good idea--to go to Medina--I will think about that-Lynda
DeleteAwesome!
DeleteGREAT!
DeleteI totally understand about leaving the harness on for a while. It will get Lopez used to wearing it. But one must progress at some point to teaching him to like having it put on and taken off. Doesn't matter what age, learning new things is something all of us, canine and human alike must do! As you and I well know.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a good Sunday!
Yay for Mr. Lopez getting a well-fitting harness! It will keep him safe; slipping the harness and getting loose in a busy street would be scary!! It will probably just take some practice to get familiar with how to get it off and on.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think sometimes we just need to cry; seems like it helps relieve the pressure sometimes. It has been a big loss, and there's pain involved. And, you're adjusting to a whole new phase of life which can be stressful and sometimes scary and lonely. It sounds like you're still getting out and taking care of things ... walking Mr. Lopez, caring for him and Miss Sushi, visiting with cousins, getting the shopping done, taking care of errands and preparing as needed for you move. It's a lot. I hope you will give yourself some grace.
I've had a busy weekend ... there was a women's faith conference hosted at my church Friday night and yesterday all day. So wonderful!!! 150 women from congregations of our denomination (FourSquare) gathered at our church and we had such a wonderful time. The speaker/leaders were Sue Boldt and Maureen Broderson, each pastors in their own right. We sang together, prayed, heard solid instruction in spiritual warfare and freeing ourselves from past hurts that wound and keep us stuck. So amazing. We sang, laughed, cried, prayed, learned and shared with each other. Our hospitality team provided delicious lunch and snacks that were presented and served in a beautiful display. It's so nice to be pampered when it is often the ladies who do the pampering. :D
Today was regular service, and I always love love love worship with my church family. I am pooped out, and have just relaxed since I got home. Talked to my Uncle Larry for a couple of hours on the phone; he is my only living uncle and I treasure him. He was my favorite uncle as a child; always full of fun and laughter.
Even if it's too late to put in a flower garden when you move into your new place, would you be able to have a few potted flowers to nurture? (I do NOT have a green thumb, so am not sure how that goes.) It may take you a little while to gradually get your house just as you want it, so it might be okay to be free of heavy-duty gardening this first year.
I'm going to get off of here and continue figuring out and setting up my new computer. I decided to replace this one, as it's got a bit of age on it, is out of range of free update kind of things. I use it for enough 'stuff" including work to wind up (hopefully soon) the family trust.
Happy Sunday!!!
