Good Morning-- busy days here--AND----- Guess what??-- WE HAVE SUN SHINING OUT THERE!
We used to chant, as kids--"Hurrah, Hurrah, the first of May, Outdoor necking starts to-day---"--Exciting isn't it?-"-It is--- Springtime!
So, are you feeling strong??--It is a new day----and here we are--a part of to-day----We made it thru the night--Did you sleep OK??--I was worrying about the move ahead--AND THIS MOVE IS NOT UNTIL JULY__ Lordy Be!!!-----I must dance----think "light" positive thoughts--
Tim took pictures of the townhouse where I will be moving into--above is my driveway---and below is my townhouse, on the left--nice of hm to get the pictures--
I had another estimate done yesterday---kind of scary--- Moving is costly for sure!
I must get Lopez out--- I hear Thunder showers this afternoon and this evening--------and I must stop worrying--- Are you a "worry wart", as I am??-- It takes a lot of mental energy to worry so much!--
Hopefully the day will go well------
To-day we will be a Warrior--We will get through this!
Good morning
ReplyDeleteGreat inserts. Thank you. I've never heard that version of May Day dance, interesting.
St.Louis set a new record with 10.85 inches of rain in April. Cloudy with more rain predicted today and tomorrow.
As you discovered, worrying takes a LOT of mental and physical energy. I try to plan ahead and not dwell on the what ifs...no way to know.
Did Tim find the townhouse for you? Looks like you can park at your door. I hope you'll be very happy there.
Enjoy your day and DANCE, sing too. Stay strong, brave and fabulous. You are a warrior!
Many hugs, much love and prayers for you
Marge/St.Louis
Good morning, Lynda!
ReplyDeleteI try not to be a worry wart. I know I get what I focus on. Just imagine your move proceeding smoothly: you have the best movers with the highest ratings, you can see that they care for your things and are pleasant people, when you arrive in Elliot all will go well, etc. I cannot emphasize this enough. If you picture or imagaine or think of a worse case scenario...that's what will happen!
We are strong. We know how to take the bad with the good because we know that good always wins. (Good guys wear white hats and have white horses as they used to say in the 'old west.')
Cloudy here the rain expected on and off all day. It's about 50F and will get to a bit highter temperature. Not warm enough for me to open the windows for Lucky to lay in them...he leans into his cat tree top shelf and then into the open window.
My procedure was yesterday. Today, 'Becca, my 'wheel-less friend,' is have one. I have to take her to the hospital surgery entrance in a few minutes.
I will check back here later today.
Pease have a wonderul day...{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
It's Kathy. It looks like my name might appear for the first time in months! The magic of technology I guess. I am a 'worry-wort' survivor. When my children were still here, growing into adults, I had my "worry time" when I expected them home. Anything up to about 15 minutes I could handle but after that!!! And this was before cell phones when they could contact me. But I learned a long time ago that my worrying about something wouldn't change the outcome one bit! That said, I was certainly thinking hard about something all night because every time I woke up it was on my mind - but I couldn't remember what it was when I woke up!!! I like your idea of The Wise Widow's Group! You all share something that a person like me cannot fully understand - although I'm sure if I lost my dear Tom, I probably wouldn't leave my house for weeks and weeks! So I, personally, think you're doing quite well all things considered. I think you are a very Strong Woman! I love your new Townhouse and expect you will be very happy there. And this will be your last move! One step at a time and you will get there!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have sunshine. NOT here. Gray and rain. But lots to do inside anyhow.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Outdoor necking today. Would the younger generation understand that?
Feeling pretty strong. DH got home from hospital on Monday (long story on that one) so spent yesterday getting all the necessary follow up appointments made and the needed equipment gathered. Would have been nice to have a little notice, but . . . alas. Didn’t happen that way. Yet, here we are. We survived.
Well I sure hope you’ll be happy in the new condo. Looks nice. And yes, EVERYTHING is costly!
YES, I am a worry wart. Hard to turn it off sometimes.
HUGS and hope it’s a good Thursday.

I am prone to worrying, but when the worries pop up I pray.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI try not to worry. When I do I remember my father's advice. "We will see what takes place". It use to annoy me when I was young, but it has served me well as I age.
Your townhouse looks nice. Moving is scary for me. We have 54 years of "stuff". I keep telling Dan we need to start getting rid of some of this but he keeps buying "stuff".
We are going to be redoing our bathroom upstairs, so it is keeping him busy researching what to buy, etc. We are still getting estimates from contractors. Next week we will be having our driveway sealed. We need to get that done before the end of the summer.
Take care, leave your troubles to God.
Wish I could have a cup of coffee w/you and give you a BIG hug.
Your friend
Bev
