Good morning, Lynda! Soggy in Ohio today and cool. So nice. No lawn mowing going on around here to bother my reading. Lol Gosh, maybe Son #2 has an umbrella for you to use. So proud of you doing so well yesterday! Pretty soon you will be busy setting up your new home. So exciting! Yes, seems like I am always planting something. I love to watch it grow. Stay dry and have a great day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds like here--a tad wet--overcast too-=- Lynda
DeleteIt’s just awesome you were able to enjoy giving ‘Fitness in the Pool’ sessions, while you had your young family🏊 ✨Carol in FL
ReplyDeleteCarol It got me out of the house-which was good--Lynda
DeleteSo frustrating to have perfectly coiffed hair and . . . walk in the rain! Hope your hair survived.
ReplyDeleteThat will be nice to see your cousin and his wife. That should lift the spirits.
How wonderful that you have books on grieving that are helping you! It all helps. You are on a tough journey and anything that helps is good!
No flowers yet, but soon!
LOVE the blast from the past! And for sure, you get to wonder . . . how did I do all I did “way back when”. Nice to have those memories.
ANNNNND . . . Weekend Warrior Baby. LOVELY!
Have a good visit w/your cousin and his wife tomorrow.

Yes Barb-- I think the weekend will be warm here also--Lynda
DeleteYes, Lynda, you are correct: we must forget the sad stuff and think of the things that makes us happy (meow). That's right out of the Law of Attraction.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo and article! You sure didn't need SparkPeople then.
And company (if you can call relatives that) coming.....that's something to focus on, for sure. And a jacket returned to you. That's good, too.
Do you have a lightweight scarf to put over your head? In a pinch, I have used a plastic grocery bag.
Books and articles on grieving are a help. So is the knowledge that Fred is always with you...just "in another room."
We have karaoke tonight, and I have garbage and recyclables to take down and out.
Lucky just woke up and needs some lovin.' I will check back here again, as always, at the end of the evening. {{{HUGS}}}, Love, Maggie
Nice Maggie--YU do sound busy---Lynda
DeleteGood Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt' a rainy dreary day here in Northern Ky/ Cincinnati area. And it's going to stick around for a few more days. Boo! That will be nice to have your cousin visit tomorrow. And you will get your jacket back, so that's a bonus.
Have a good Saturday!
Jackie
nice that he is returning my cot--LOL--- Why did I ever forget it?--LOL--Lynda
DeleteGood Morning, Lynda. You continue to be amazing as you find your way through the sadness of losing Fred. You are taking care of Sushi and Lopez. Checking things off your list to get ready for your move. Interacting with your friends and supporters with your blog and reaching out to family. Allow yourself the tearful moments. You seem to come away from them a little stronger and you always find a positive to hold onto. Spring will bring color and vibrancy to give you some more strength. Curious, how did the Bingo night go? I imagine you were a big hit. Continue to take care of yourself and lean on those around you. You are loved.
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. I'm glad reading about grief is helping you manage yours. You have many friends here, even if we are not there with you in reality, we are with you in spirit! I love the picture of you from days gone by! Swimming has never been high on my list but it looks good on you. Enjoy your day - I hope you don't get too much rain! We are on a streak of sunshine and dry weather! Maybe I can finally get my gardens tilled!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can borrow an umbrella from son or maybe hairdresser. Would be a shame to ruin new do.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the grief books are helping a tad, as do grief groups. We are all here loving and supporting you.
Enjoy your visit with cousin and wife.
You have accomplished so much in your life. Aqua Fit is one of so many...wife, nurse, writer, raising FIVE fabulous kids...looking back..you were a busy woman.
Still raining in St.Louis and to continue several more days...chilly too. I turned furnace back on. Too wet to plant anything.
Have a great day. Be good to Lynda. You are loved. Hugs and prayers
Marge/St.Louis
Sooo happy that the "wee" book finally arrived! I cannot believe how long it takes the US Post Office to deliver a small package! I am struggling with them because I had my mail forwarded to my son's house while I was living with him after my dehumidifier meltdown that absolutely destroyed the entire insides of my home. I was living in my son's basement, but now have a cozy little rental house with my two cats...and my son brings me my mail as we only live about a mile apart. But I am still receiving mail from December.....seems like the Post Office can't figure out how to send mail to a different, albeit close, address in the same city...they have to send it back to a facility in St. Louis, MO to put a label on it and return it back to this little town in southern Illinois! So very frustrating as many important things are not getting to me in time to get them paid before they are overdo! But enough of that! I am so happy that you received the book that helped me so much when I was a new widow. I read the whole little book, the went back and just read a few pages every night before I went to bed. It helped me so much because I felt the author really idenified many of my feelings and could relate! I hope it does the same for you, Lynda! Every night, you are in my prayers! Love and hugs, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteLynda so sorry for your loss and glad you’re coming home. The tuck shop is looking for volunteers and the pool is looking for aqua fit instructors. Hugs to you.
