Find Your Passion- Stick to your Guns-Think for Yourself!

It's raining --  but--Good Morning ---It is lightly raining--  so, not too bad outside! Son#2 , the Pilot, is in Dubai-- where he says it is very hot. He also reports there is a lot of sand there--(We are not surprised are we?---)

So far--no MacDonalds ---It was a very long flight over there---something like  22 hrs in the sky-- He also just sent a picture of the tall buildings-among all those buildings, there must be a McDonalds--We shall see---  ?????

-So, I got up this AM, and it seems I might've taken half my pills when I was up early  in the wee hrs of the morning--But I can't remember --Darn it eh??--  So I guess I will not take the ones I may have taken at 5am--until later to-day---  How stupid of me eh?--I'll never do that again---

                                                                    His butter chicken--

I shall miss all my family visits ---  We really had so many laughs about life in the "olden days"--It was so so much fun to be all together , grown up now--

So, I hope that you are feeling strong--Are you?--  Try to imagine  that you how you would feel if  you decided to feel strong--that you could do whatever--- that you will be happy , no matter what--

  1. Good morning Lynda
We actually have SUN in St.Louis today. Yay
What inspirational messages this morning! Thank you. I shall try hard to remember those messages as I am worth it.
Do you have a daily pill sorter so you can tell if you took Monday pills?
Dubai looks huge, new, modern. I'm positive they have McDonald's lol. 22 hours flying sounds grueling.
Enjoy today...pack away. That will get you closer to EL.
    BIG HUGS, MUCH LOVE

  2. Hello, sis.
You're right...think positive as you first wake up...how comfy you are, what you have to look forward to, etc. Makes for a good day. I didn't do that today. I just was thinking about how much I hurt and wanted to get up to take pain reliever.
I have one of those tiny little spiral notebooks. When I take my drug that I can take 3-4 times a day, I make a not of it...the date (6-9) and the time...I keep the notebook right where I take my drug.
I know you had a great time with your family. You have new good memories now.
The photos are great. I am sure your son will be able to find a McDonalds.
Did you do any more packing yet? You do have time, even though you're anxious to move.
It's not 'Becca across the street in the rehab/medical/hospice facility. She took me to see JoAnne, my friend with the bariatric walker I used to take to karaoke. You spoke with her on the phone once. I don't know if you remember that.
I am expecting a grocery order. Yesterday they send the wrong food for Lucky. Hopefully, this time they'll get it right. I am eating lots of frozen entrees lately, too, so I ordered those. I don't feel safe cooking with hot sometimes water filled pots and pans yet. I have both walkers taking up most of the room in the kitchen. There's not much room to maneuver.
It's not raining here, but we did get rain overnight. It's coolish today, cloudy and hazy. Wonder if summer will ever really kick in.
All for now, gf. Will check back later, of course. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  4. It's Kathy. I love the food photos - food from other countries is so interesting! I hope he does find a MacDonald's! I remember seeing one in Norway, but Burger King was in more places! We have a lite rain too - just off and on. I'm going out shortly to try and finish my garden so Tom can help me fence it in. I'm glad you enjoyed having your family with you - yes, it's really nice to remember the "good old days"! Have a good day today.

  7. Howdy there. Wouldn't I just love to up and sell everything and travel the world (in another lifetime). I'd so love to go to somewhere like Dubai - but I sure wouldn't like the heat. Of course, dry heat is tolerable compared to humidity! Your son I swear has the BEST job!
And I love Mediterranean food, and Indian food, and the like. I love curry sauce, and very hot, spicy foods, nothing better! :)

Strong? I've never thought about trying to be "strong." Strong as opposed to what? I don't have any reason to be "strong." Or "weak." I just get up, and go about the day. My days are typically pretty easy, I guess. Get up, go to work, come home. Part-time, easy work. I guess I wouldn't say today was my strongest, though. I sure didn't want to get up, and laid there an extra 15 minutes. Then I had to shower and dash about, and I was 20 minutes late to work. Then I went to my hourly M and W free exercise class at the Wellness Center, but didn't want to go, b/c I didn't feel like it. Maybe that was "strong," because I got up, suited up and showed up, and went about my day, LOL. I dunno.

  8. That has happened to me also....not remembering if I have already taken my pills/which are mostly vitamins except for the thyroid meds! Hate it when that happens - or when I make my coffee the night before and forget to put the water in! So frustrating! I am hoping to move back into my house in August if all goes as planned. Right now the whole house is gutted....only 3 toilets and 2 bathtubs remain.....but the whole cleaning renovation and repainting ceilings and walls is coming along nicely! So waiting on kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities is the next step - then comes all my new flooring - carpeting and vinyl....and then ceiling fans and lights and I might be able to move back in! In the meantime, I am leaving on Saturday for a 2 week Rhine River Cruise with my church group...planned and paid for 2 years ago and now I wish I wasn't going, but I just have to bite the bullet and go....have cat sitters, mowing kids, and pool people all ready to fill in for me while I am gone....now I just need to pack....ugh!
