A high of 26 to-day--maybe rain over night-- 28 on Sunday-
Yesterday I did not get to blog--- just so busy --and I missed you all--I should've just sat down and said "hello" to you --That would've made my day--- You see , we are down to the "nitty gritty" of the final move--kinda in a panic kinda mode---the mover--the boxes-- and trying to carry on with a somewhat normal type of life amidst the chaos--
That's about "it" isn't it?---get up---survive --
-The "survive" thing is the key!!!----- To-day is "Hair Day"--colour too, so it will take time--
So , I find , as one ages, the grown kids tell me more and more what to do and how to do it--They mean well, but they feel we might've lost our minds, so they just step up and tell us "how and what", about just about everything--It is all I can do to not talk back--Sometimes I do!---I guess that is what happened yesterday and then my world fell apart--
Good Friday Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI figured when I didn't see a post from you yesterday, you were busy getting stuff ready for the move. Just my cents worth, but if someone is voicing their opinion about how you should do something or what you should do, you should also feel free to speak up for yourself, you shouldn't have to bite your tongue. It's ok to stand up for yourself! I have learned to do that as I have gotten older and it's empowering.
If you are talking about the Waze app, I have that on my phone. I haven't had to use it much but it's nice to know I have it if needed.
Enjoy your pampering day of haircut and color.
Jackie
Jackie that is it--Waze -- Nice he put that on the phone--not sure if I know how to use it(LOL) but , in a pinch, I might figure it out--and I must speak up because people want to tell me everything--One Lady argued with me about the size of the master bedroom in the townhouse--She figured it would be too small for the King bed-- The room is 11 by 12--not a bad size-- I must speak up eh--LOL-- People-always have their own ideas-- Lynda
DeleteHappy Friday Lynda
ReplyDeleteHappy hair day.
Good to see a note from you. Miss you when you don't post.
As far as kids giving advice....you can say thank you for your opinion...then do what YOU think is best.
Great you didn't get lost on your adventure. I use the Google Maps app which speaks turn by turn directions.
Keep up the positive messages. We all need positivity.
Great looking grands.
Hugs from hot St.Louis
Marge
Oh Marge-I need the positivity also--Yesterday was such a terrible day-- It seems to come in waves--I must say "thank yu" to the people who have lotza advice-(-LOL)--- and there are a lot of them--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! It is storming in Ohio! I left my windows down a little from the heat. My contractor needed me to move my car outside the garage. It got wet. Made me mad at myself. Yes, it’s hard not to say anything to the grown kids. It can be frustrating. Love the pics of the grandkids! I love the Waze App! I can check for cops and accidents before I go! Saves my anxiety! Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that so nice of my nephew to help me??-- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I understand what you say about our grown kids. Mine are just starting that! When I was a young girl, my grandmother would tell me things like "you need to put your sweater on", or "you should do this or that". It was my nature to dispute her claim like "but I'm not cold"! My mother once told me to reply "Okay, Grandma" and then just go do what I want to do! No argument needed. I'm glad you are doing the same! I also understand the need for a routine and when that is out of whack, we feel it. I'm not so good at "going with the flow" anymore! You just take one day at a time and everything will turn out just as it is meant to! Have a good day today!
