Home is where the Heart is!

Good morning--  another "smoky" morning! ---  But--I see sunshine thru the smoke--and Lopez and I have "hoofed" it up the road--  "His Business" was not done, which means another walk soon--

So how are you all?--Lordy Be!------Did you get thru the night with life treating you right??---Are you happy and you know it?? Yes just keep putting one foot  in front of the other, and,  before you know it, the day is nearly over!
Son #2 , the Pilot, is en route to Dubai -and nearly there.

The little blond boy in the above picture  , is son #2---the Air Canada Pilot. Who would ever know that this child would grow up to fly huge airplanes?---  The child on his rt. is Son #1-a great business man--a Successful Restaurant Owner--and the wee little girl on the left , a registered Nurse----The above picture was taken north of Elliot Lake, in the Mississaugi Provincial Park---We had just moved to Elliot Lake from Ottawa.

And so, I am beginning to pack  --AGAIN---  I figured I might as well get started--  help the movers--a little over a month and I can move home--return to Elliot Lake, where I belong--  Lakefield is a lovely place, but not where I belong--I really do love the North and am returning there! -- I know there are black flies, and lotza snow in the winter, but there are also beautiful fresh lakes and because of the Precambrian Shield, beautiful rocks--and wonderful friendly people---and my parents graves, and my husbands ashes--and my children --and Grandchildren.--AND I AM their GRANDMOTHER!-
I miss them!--a lot!

Home is where the Heart is!
So--Are you feeling strong?

It is a new day and we are a part of it!

Have the best day ever!  Make it your best day ever!!

The guy above helped me to do that everyday!

  1. Good morning and happy Sunday! It is raining in Ohio and that makes me happy! Only my birds chirping, no mowers, no weed eaters, yeah!! At least when you move no snow blowing and no yard to do with flies. So it will be much better and your heart so happy! Your children pic is the cutest. They are all doing big things in their lives. Good parents made that happen. Be proud of yourself! Yes, he made your day good every day. Wonderful man! Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  2. Good morning, sis.
I did have a goodnight, and today will be a good day.
I need to place a Walmart order or Lucky will be out of food. 'Becca is going to help me by driving me to the facility across the street to visit JoAnne. She is where I was when in rehab. She feels that she will never make it back here to her apartment where she lived of 20 years.
    We'll see.
It's partly sunny, but hazy here and a little cooler. I need to change clothes as I am wearing bermuda shorts and my legs are cold.
You post wonderful photos. Memories are wonderful...the good ones. I don't blame you for wanting to start packing already. Remember the piano...that's important.
On to see what the day will bring, but I will be back to check later.

  3. Good Sunday Morning,
Nice blog, Lynda. It sounds like you are ready to head back to Elliott Lake and starting to pack. Good for you! I am sure Matt and family will miss having you close by though.
It's going to be another warm one here, high 70's and off and on rain. But, that's ok because I have plenty to do inside my house.
    Have a good one!

  5. It's Kathy. I'm glad you are going to be packing up a little bit here and there. It will make the actual move a lot easier. I'm sure you'll feel better once you're back in Elliot Lake. We have another nice day, not too hot and a bit cloudy which makes it easier to work outside. There's so much to do and my body just isn't all that happy with me. So I decided to take the morning to just relax and catch up on inside things! Love the pictures! Have a good day!
