Count your life by Smiles--not tears!

To-day is Saturday, December 20th-- almost Christmas--Emma and Ava are back home --from their Universities--Hannah also--Son#2 has returned also from a snowy trip out to Winnipeg--and here I am -- back to "The daily blog"--

We are expecting snow here to fall, all day--Yucky---  It means more shovelling---plus, bad roads----- Last Week,  Son#3 and his wife, had to send their Dog, Apollo, up to Heaven--Maybe---  My Himself-- "Ba-Ha" as the Grandkids called him--maybe they are together--

So--long time--no blog--I shall try harder , every day now-- to post a blog--It might be a tad shorter--just for now--but, at least I can say hello to you all--remind you to "be strong"--It might be Christmas, but--we  need to be together---So, for now, I will remind you to "keep your chin up?--Count your blessings--and "smile"--as you hug your family--  WE CAN DO THIS_
and a few

  2. Good morning, sis. Happy to see a blog today from my busiest friend!

Apollo looks like a sweet, precious friend. They will meet him again. Maybe he is playing with your shepherds.

You'll have fun with grandkids home for the holidays! Family is so important, especially then.

I am determined to get a large load of laundry done now that our large washer is repaired. Personal shopping to do today, too.

Please be careful (just a reminder) with snow removal and enjoy your day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Good morning Lynda, I am so relieved to see that you blogged today. I was concerned that you had injured yourself by slipping in the snow. I know this is a busy time of year for everyone, but please just pop in to day "I'm too busy to blog", okay? Sorry to hear about Apollo. Great news that the Grands are home from University. Enjoy the weekend.

  4. Good Morning!
I hope you had a good birthday!
Good to see you posting after a few days. This is a busy time for all and I don't always get here to check your blog and comment daily like I want to, but I do try. And I always enjoy them.
Sorry to hear about son#3's dog, Apollo. That is always so hard, no matter how many times we go through it.
Glad the Grandkids will be home on Christmas break and you can all hopefully get together.
Weather wise, we are starting to warm up and they are predicting 60's and showers for Christmas. Ugh and Yuck! I want snow for Christmas.
Take it easy shoveling snow and have a good day!

  6. It's Kathy. I, too, was a bit concerned for you but I know that it's Christmas time and things get really busy. Besides, you are the strongest woman I know and I trust that you can take care of yourself! I'm sorry to hear about Son #3's dog. I like to think that he is now with Himself! We had some light snow overnight and now we've got winds of about 20+ MPH which is making that snow blow all over. Daisy and I walked down to the mailbox this morning and I was nearly knocked over with the strong wind. Good thing she's close to the ground but she wasn't too happy about the wind either! Have a good day.

Tell your son and his wife so sorry for me. I know he is with Himself. What fun the grandkids and pilot are home. Enjoy! Have a lovely day! Hugs!

  8. Hallelujah (I had to look that up to see how to spell it, lol), you are BACK! I am so sorry I jumped to the worst conclusion. Of course you are busy, what with Christmas coming, all your kids, presents, and that ever present Canada SNOW! I am glad you are back and that you got it all done, in one piece.

I am so sorry to hear about Apollo. From all your blogs, we all must feel, I know I do, that we "know" your family and their pets, too! I am glad to hear the "kids" are back from college for awhile. A neighbor man just had to put his dog down, too. Jake (my dog) HATED that poor fellow. He was the mildest mannered doggo you could imagine, but because he was big, Jake was so so afraid of him. His name was Cody. I will miss Cody. I will also miss the man (his name is Al) out walking him. Maybe he'll get another dog, I can only hope?

Another lady here, down the street, had to put her dog down, that lady is in a motorized wheelchair, is paralyzed from the waist down due to a horse accident she had had a long time ago - anyway, that lady has another dog now, he's almost a year old now.

We have had up and down weather. 56, and then like 23, and snow flurries, and terrible WIND. Very, very cold. Now it's on a warmup again, and to be 57! on Christmas day, can you believe that? But, supposed to be showers.

I ask one thing, please, in the future, if you are busy, all you need to do is pop in, say, hey I have things to do, be back in a few days, and then we won't worry. I was like, what if she's passed, how would we even know?

So, it's almost Christmas, I have one thing arriving still, supposed to come on the 24th, just a gift card. I still have not wrapped anything, I usually do that last minute, all at once. I sit down on the floor to do it, these days I can hardly get down on the floor, or back up due to bad arthritis!

    Have a good one!

And son #2 back home too. Is your little house staying warm enough? Sure is cold enough here today. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda.
