"Live" every day!

Good morning --To-day is Tuesday December 23rd--We have a rain/snow mix about ready to fall here--so-it looks like a "not great day" to drive anywhere --"day"--about to begin-

-I hope that your snow tires are on and ready to help you out-----and that it will not be a 'white knuckle' trip- anywhere----There are a few of those days , in the North here!

I must drag the garbage pail out to the road--  I was taking my garbage up to where we used to live, to their dumpster--but with the snow and ice-y roads now, I will just leave it in front of the house here for pick-up-- It is "paper/cardboard"--plus garbage to-day-- and we do recycling-which I learned to do while living in Lakefield.

I was supposed to meet Dave, my son's friend for breakfast this AM, but road conditions will be kinda "iffy""--I had to cancel those plans, for now--

So---that's my story--- Sometimes plans change--I do have a Drs appointment this afternoon also--Hopefully the roads will be better by then--So-- a new day-

-"Words of Wisdom" keep screaming up to me--

like--#1.Live in the present

--#2  Fall seven times-stand up eight

-#3.Enjoy the life you are given. (Lord love a Duck-I am trying!)

                        Blasts from the past--MEMORIES__

                  and of course-Grand daughters---wonderful memories---
                                summer swim time--below--

                                -Below--Son#3's Graduation--

So life just goes on --  and on--and we must make it special--everyday we must try to be stronger than we ever were--"Fall seven times--stand up eight--""Be the first to forgive"--and "Always look for that silver lining"---We are on this earth for a reason-----and we  can 'live" each day--  so--get offa here--- and lets do it!

  1. Hi Lynda
If you must go out....be very careful. You and Dave can do breakfast another day.
    Love your words of wisdom.
So, #3 is the police officer...the same kid that wouldn't let you in. What the hell?
Glad you are putting trash etc at street. I really don't like you driving far to dispose of it.
    Be safe. Stay warm.

  2. Good morning, Lynda! It’s going to be high 50 and no snow on the ground in Ohio. Can you believe it? It’s ice cream weather! Any time is ice cream weather. Right??! LOL!! Sorry you had to cancel with Dave. Please be careful going to your appointment this afternoon. Hope you get a good report! Have a terrific Tuesday! Hugs!

  3. Good morning, sis!
It's cloudy here, but 28F already. It seems we will not have a white Christmas. I am watching that movie tonight, though.

Those beautiful granddaughters!!! And what a handsome uniformed son, too.

It's too bad, Lynda, that you had to cancel with YOUR friend, Dave. There will be other times, though.

Tomorrow I go to my daughter, son-in-law and grandson's house. I can hardly wait. The building manager had a meal catered for us yesterday. We gathered in our "Community Room." I met another new resident.

I need to go to PetSmart today as I am having difficulty getting Lucky's food from Walmart delivered. PetSmart will have it.

On to meet the day, dear. I'll be back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. Good morning Lynda, maybe you should cancel the medical appointment due to hazardous driving conditions. If Matt were around, he would offer to drive you. We are going to have heavy, heavy rain beginning this afternoon and not ending until Friday. They are referring to it as an "Atmospheric River" which is defined as a narrow band of rain over an area. They are particularly concerned about the areas that suffered through wildfires this past year, which create mudflows. I hope everyone remains safe here and in your area. I hope your day goes well.

  5. I am so glad that you are flexible and willing to change your plans this is so important when we are looking out for our own safety and the roads could be very bad

  6. It's Kathy. Great words to live by, your Words of Wisdom! Sorry you had to cancel your breakfast but it's wise to stay off the roads when they are so bad. I hope the driving conditions improve so you can make it to your Doctor appointment. I hate having appointments in the winter because you just never know! We are lucky enough to have a few warm and sunny days but that will end by Saturday. So Daisy and I are enjoying the nicer days as much as we can! She likes to go outside and just smell around on the path my husband made for her - then she thinks she should get a treat! She's such a sweetheart that I just can't resist! Have a good day.
