To-day is Friday, December 5th-- -and of course we have a big snow storm going on outside--like, a blizzard--and it feels cold--road closures all round us--seems it snows here- a lot---still dark too--
-a hug might be a good thing--might help us face this new day-- and a smile--?

#3.It is harder than we remember to be a child.
-------- and a few blasts from the past--
The above 3 girls are all in universities--one is finished-- our daughters children--plus a cousin-- So--remember-- try to stay positive to-day-a positive attitude goes a long way--We are a part of this day----Big hugs to you all----Now I must get Lopez out--IN THE COLD-----YIKES!! Maybe---- Christmas really doesn't come from a store---Maybe there really is a Santa!!
Good morning, Lynda! It’s 15 in Ohio. Not snowing but plenty on the ground. So nice of Matt to come help and give you company. I am mostly finished with Christmas but always last minute things to do. The grands are so cute! Stay warm and safe. Enjoy your day inside. Eat ice cream! LOL! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love it--=Ice cream is my very most favourite food--LOL--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda - Deb here - long time follower of you. My grandmother gave me money to help pay for college - and it was so appreciated. I think your grandkids will be forever thankful for the boost you give them. My own kids were given heartfelt notes from my father (along with the money) and they treasure those notes noe that he is gone. Have a wonderful Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteThey all said "No More Clothes""-- only money--LOLOL-- Guess they have aged--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, it's Kathy. I only buy gifts for the 3 little ones, all the teens and up get cash. Maybe not the best but it's all I have the energy to do - in fact, I still haven't gotten the cash out of the bank yet! Love the photos - the children are all so cute. Sorry about the snow. It's snowing here too but just enough to be a nuisance. It's going to be a quiet afternoon for me! Have a good one.
ReplyDeleteWas it a quiet afternoon??--Good idea--"CASH""--is what they want as they age----At leasdt I do not have to wrap it all--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHappy Friday Lynda!
ReplyDeleteMoney is easier for the older kids, that way they can get what they want or need. Plus it's easier for you too.
Hope you are staying warm!
Hugs,
Jackie
Yes--CASH--is the best --so they say now---easier also--Lynda
DeleteGood evening Lynda,
ReplyDeleteThis is Bev your old friend from MI. I just want to say to keep that blizzard up there. We had cold weather here this morning but it did warm up to 27 and the sun came out.
I seem to run out of time to read your blog. Some days I have a hard time getting on and I just give up
Dan & I are doing well, not sure if you read my last comment that my oldest sister passed away. It seemed so strange not to have her at Thanksgiving this year.
I am glad you are going to the "sad" classes. It always helps to be with people that are going thru the same things you are experiencing makes you remember you are not crazy.
Take care my friend,
I think of you often and I am pleased to see you venture out even in bad weather. I stay home. (LOL) I'm not as brave.
Love ya Bev pastrickb@yahoo.com
BEV------So so nice that you wrote--a blast from the past--LOL-And I am sorry that you lost your sister 'specially now-- --at

I sure understand not getting out to shop--Yes he will attend the ceremony for Fred also--Lynda
DeleteGood eveing, sis. Sorry I am commenting so late. I was up the majority of the night with Chrohn' pain.
ReplyDeleteThen I had to take friends to do their shopping. It took four hours! When I got home I collapsed.
Your photos are wonderful. You have lots of granddaughters. Any grandsons?
We have 6-8 inches of snow and more to come.
I got all the wrapping stuff, but haven't begun yet. It's good that we still have 20 days.
Be safe and warm, Lynda! And have a good night. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Maggie --We Still have lots of time--DO NOT PANIC_- It ISN"T GOOD FOR YOU--Yu do so much!_-So Ill send hugs--Too bad we don't live closer--Lynda
DeleteSimplifying the holidays is a good thing! I remember trying to gift college age kids and a financial contribution is the best, seriously! I remember my mom, and then my sister, following the "gift them a laundry basket full of supplies they will need" for the first year they were in an apartment... but gee, "folding money" fits EVERYONE!
ReplyDeleteWe all try to do the best we can I guess for all the family--hard sometimes-- Hugs Barb-Lynda
