To-day is Monday, December 29th-- and yesterday we had sleet falling all day--To-day we have snow falling-and, we have "power"--but it is "iffy"-might go out any minute--so, I will do the best I can to get a blog out--Lord love a Duck--The weather -the -winter weather, sure has been "iffy""--in this area. AND----"YOU" all are special to me--"YOU all " ---keep me going--I enjoy reading your comments about your lives--Will we ever meet??-- Maybe one day we will--
Hopefully your Christmas was the best ever--and New Years will be here before you know it---The meme below kind of sums up life right now--here--Funny how one changes, as one ages--but, the tears are not as plentiful as they used to be--and that is a good thing--
There is life still, after the better part of my life passes--I guess I use my memory to make my life more enjoyable!-So--I shall close this off for now --and hope that there is "power" in the morning-- -AND--if there is, I shall try to add to this--Remember to BE--"YOU"
AND --It is almost 8am--and we still have "power"--but I doubt the front door ill open as there is so much snow leaning against it--kinda scare-y--but--Lopez and Sushi and I--are up--son #2 just called --is stuck in Calgary as there is no salt for the runway--We still have "power""-- but--in case it goes, I best get moving--
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! Yes--Bless yer heart for remembering--Hugs--Stay warm-Lynda
Deleteand the same to yu--Lynda
DeleteGood evening, sis.
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Two blogs in one day.
We are in the midst of a heavy blizzard, too. I went to the car to retrieve something and almost didn't make it the thirty feet or so I had to walk. I actually called for someone to hang on to so I dared walk back into the building!
LOVE that meme about no longer being interested! Must be true of lots of us.
This was when I was to check comments on the earlier blog and, in a few minutes, get ready for bed. That's what I'll do now.
Sleep well, Lynda...let's hope our blizzards end soon(est)! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Son#2 stuck out in Calgary--no salt for the runway--so so happy I blogged last nite-'fraid the power wud be out-- but-so far so goopd-- It seems like the worst storm I have ever seen--Lynda
Deleteso glad that you are safe and warm I hope that the power stays on for you

DeleteHi Lynda
ReplyDeleteLove and respect you so much. I wonder if you realize how impactful your positivity is on us.
Hoping power stays on. Sounds dreadful there. Stay IN. It's crazy in St.Louis too. A high of 72F yesterday then the winds came. It's in the teens this morning. I think God is angry.
Hoping pilot gets home safely soon.
Loved the I am no longer interested! Yep, me too.
Marge
Marge-- I hope the Blog helps us all realize that we all need to try to be strong---- bad storm going on here--pretty bad-- So nice to hear from yu-- Lynda--my cell is( 1 705 849 6155) if ever yu need help-=-=LOLOL-- Lynda
DeleteGood Morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't loose power. That's never any fun. Just have your candles, flashlights, etc. at the ready in case the lights go out.
We don't have snow, just flurries but the wind is gusting at about 35 miles per hour and the temperature is 23 degrees, but because of the wind, it feels like the low teens.
I have to go out and grocery shop today, so I will definitely be bundling up.
Oh, poor Lopez who has to go out in the weather to do his business. Don't loose him in the snow. Poor thing. And you be careful too.
Stay warm and safe.
Hugs,
Jackie
Yes Lopez was not happy when I shoved him on out into the SNOWY BACk yArd--Poor fella eH?--=It is wild pout there--ThAnk yu for writing on tnis blustery day-Lynda
DeleteI laughed at the “I am no longer interested in” bit. At 72 I find myself buying elastic waist black pants and wear them most days. Comfort is my motto now. And it is hard to make myself go anywhere after dark. I am usually in my pjs and robe by 6:30 or 7:00.
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to have electricity and stay warm. It sounds like a day to hunker down at home. Susan/Colorado
Susan--So true eh --how our life changes when we are over the hill sorta thing!--Yu mzde me LOL-- Lynda
DeleteSusan, that cracked me up! About the elastic pants. I REFUSE to wear polyester pants, though, like my mom used to back in the day, BUT the only kind of jeans that will work for me anymore are elastic band. Even *they* slide down all the time. You see, I have a "diabetic" belly, so that I am carrying all my weight in my belly, so from the waist down I am just one huge inner tube, it feels like. No hips/belly separation. So nothing really fits right! - Marti
DeleteIt's Kathy. We got about 5-6 inches of snow yesterday. It covered all the old, dirty snow but snow is not my favorite thing. Little Daisy had to leap through it to take care of business this morning. Tom is outside now plowing her path again, bless his heart. He does take such good care of us. Luckily I don't have to go anywhere today! I had a great birthday day yesterday - was called by each of my children, even my step son and his family. My 2 cousins also called and I was sent birthday wishes from so many friends! I felt pretty darn special. And I finished the book I was reading. I'm off now to get my dinner into the slow cooker! Those are the best meals - cooking in the morning to enjoy for dinner. Have a lovely day and I do hope you don't lose power.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you - that meme about what she doesn't do anymore describes me completely. No appointments before 10 and after 6 you'll find me in my pj's! Thanks for sharing.
DeleteLOL--First of all--HAPPY BIRTHDAY--and I know--that meme describes us to a "T"--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHi, Lynda, do stay warm and safe INSIDE! And hope your power continues to stay on. My cousin, the one who had Christmas, in Westerville, Ohio, says they (her hubby and her) are without power today. I thought she had a backup generator, though.
ReplyDeleteHere, it has turned very cold and very windy. Howling wind, they say gusts up to 50 mph. I walked the dog this morning and this afternoon after work, but I sure did not linger and go the full 10 minutes around. No, only until he "did his business."
marti
Forgot to say - right now, it's just "spitting" snow. Hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteMarti
Hi Lynda: We've been getting bad weather too but not as bad as yours. We got about 10-12 cm. Then we've been getting ice storm and really cold. This afternoon it was hard to walk the dog as it's getting icy again and is really windy. Belated Happy birthday to the pilot. Had to laugh about being stuck in Calgary with no salt for the runway as they get a lot of snow there! I like the meme about things older people stop doing (like me) - like no early appts and not driving after dark. Although doesn't apply to you! Hope your snow stops and your power stays on. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteStay safe w/the ice and snow. Doing the same here. Wicked windy and blowing snow. NOPE not going out in that.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh that NOT INTERESTED IN list is perfect!

Good evening, Lynda! It's been a reality check of Winter on Sunday and Monday, mostly with the cold and wind, but we did get a light blasting of snow. Stay safe and warm!

Good Evening Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is okay with you. I hope your power is on.
I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year!!
I was worried when I didn't see any blogs past the 28th.
Dan & I are staying home. It is snowing right now, (hope it stops so
people can have a safe night if they go out to celebrate)
Dan is taking a nap. We are staying home, and I am fixing steak and
lobster tail.
Please take care
Love you, your friend Bev
