Good Morning--It is Monday, February the 23rd-- dark outside--cold too--It was hard to get up this AM--- but here we are--another day to be happy--another day to be strong--and best of all, 5 more days and it will be MARCH__maybe warmer too with not as much snow-- if we are lucky!-- The wash machine is chugging away--Lopez is up--well, asleep on the leather chair, which he thinks is his bed. So, I shall return--give me an hour--
So, I have returned--tried to walk Lopez but it was so cold, I had to turn around and bring him back home. Poor wee fellow--and my cleaning Lady has decided to not come to-day--- It seems like it is kinda "hit and miss" with her--Lordy Be!!Anyway, I hope that your day is going well. Are you caught in that snow storm hitting the US.?-----It looks pretty bad! --No snow falling here ---but it does look bad in the U.S.-oh Lordy--A crank call just came thru here also--I hate those calls--I put him thru to my one son who is a Police officer--
So--remember--#1. Kids need more hugs than they need things--
#2.--Save money
#3.He who sows courtesy, reaps friendship
and Blasts from the past----Below--
Allison with Sophia who now will be attending Kent State University in September-- Below--Sophia -again -- Below--Remember there days??? so-- life is good----no cleaner coming to-day--had to tell her that it is important to me to come here on a regular basis--
So--- make sure that you do not fall for all the crank calls-- Good thing to have a son as a Police officer--seems everyone is out to "get us" doesn't it? ----- kinda drives one crazy!

DeleteGood morning, Lynda! It is 25 and feels like 8 in Ohio. After 6 weeks the snow finally melted and now the ground is covered. I can’t wait for Spring! I will just drink coffee and watch my birds. I have about 12 birdhouses and a very large bird condo that holds several birdy homes. I guess we must age for that long life. Makes us smarter, too.I hope you have a wonderful Monday! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteoh no--More snow--=We all want it gone don't we??__12 birdhouses--Your birds will be so so happy--Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda, yes, the Northeast is going to get hit with an unprecendented snowstorm, and here today where I live it's going to be 82 degrees. Such crazy weather we're having in the US. Sorry the cleaning lady isn't coming today. Wishing you a spectacular day with your "crew" of Lopez and Sushi. Did Lola go home last night?
ReplyDeleteMaureen from California
Wow Maureen--82--?????--We may never get that--=LOL-and yes--Lola went home--to Son#3's house-- She loves her own house you know!! She cried like a baby at night here--poor little girl!--Lynda
DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a Monday. Sorry the cleaning lady decided to cancel.
We have snow, not a lot but the roads are kind of slick so schools in the area are closed. The wind is rather blustery though and it's low 20's F.
I got hubby's dinner going in the crock pot. I need to get a workout in and then head to the grocery.
We don't get as many scam calls as we used to, but if we don't recognize the number and it's not in our contact list, it goes to voice mail. If it's important, they will leave a message. That's the only reason we keep a land line. We don't get many of those calls on our cell phones. But, I do get weird texts sometimes, I just report and delete them.
Have a good day and stay warm!
Hugs,
Jackie
so so many crank calls and I seem to fall for them-- I have to learn that I do not need all the stuff they try to sell me-- scam stuff-- Lynda
DeleteIt was very cold here to-day--Lynda
DeleteVery cold and windy here...but no snow, thank goodness! Just read your Sunday blog about the dog fight....I'm sure it was scary! Strange, but I was awakened early this morning because my two cats were going at it with each other! I jumped out of bed and started yelling at them to cut it out! I have no idea what got into them, but it did me off to an earlier start this morning hahaha! Love your blog opening today...about aging. Reminds me of one time my mother-in-law was complaining about getting older...and my youngest son maybe about 8 yrs old, said "But G'Ma, if you don't get older, you get dead!" So true! So here's to all of us to get older every day! (And perhaps wiser)! Have a great day as every day above ground is a good day!
ReplyDeleteLOL-- Older--or dead--LOLOL--Pretty cute!-Cats fighting-- dogs fighting--crazy eh??--older and wiser-- I agree!--LOL--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Very smart of you to send the crank call to your son the Police Officer! I simply have stopped answering any phone numbers that I do not recognize. Sometimes I miss something but if it's import they leave a message. Most of the time it's just dead air! I saw the mess happening in the Northeast - I do have friends who must be experiencing that really terrible weather. The news people said they had to stay in the city overnight. No more snow here and finally some sunshine but it's very cold outside! We had to clip Daisy's claws this morning - she makes so much noise walking on the floors without carpeting. She is not happy with me right now! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThese animals do not like their nails trimmed do they??----It was so so cold here to-day--SPRING--WE Need Spring!-Little Lopez did not like his feet on the ground-- too cold!--Lynda
DeleteHi, Lynda - I'm sorry your day hasn't turned out as you hoped. Mine neither; in fact, I had about the worst Monday I could have. I "tried" to help the new girl once again, but it's impossible to help her, as she loses every folder she downloads. Dumb as a stump! A coworker has been training her, but isn't always in the room. When I told her what I tried to do, she snapped at me again - the person trying to train her. I went and told my boss, then decided to tell this coworker not to snap at me, and broke down hysterically crying. I had to go into the bathroom to sob. She DID hug me and said she didn't mean to sound snappish, but was frustrated with this new girl. Also, my memory is going on me and it's scary. I think it's due to the anxiety, but I can't remember where I put things, and feel like I'm just running around with my head cut off. I told them I was leaving for the day, but they persuaded me to stay. It's okay for TODAY. Luckily I started back with my therapist, but I don't see her until Thursday (I have bad PTSD dating back to childhood, with having been shunned and bullied due to a birth defect, and this working around people is triggering it). Whew, what a day! I didn't get much done, and I had to go work out after work - it's scheduled, every Mon and Weds at 3. Barely held it together. Now I'm stress eating, all that I know to do when stress hits!
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate you are not getting the Nor'easter, nor is Central Ohio. We got about 1/2 inch of snow and it's 27 degrees here, which did NOT make me happy after that warm spell, that's for sure!
Marti
Oh no Marti--That new girl is a problem!--LOL_-LOLOLOL-- Dumb as a Stump--I love it!!-- YU certainly have tried!-And to have another person get angry at yu--bet you wanted to do them both in!-Poor you--allowing that girl to get yu down-- Remember that you are special--was there longer than the new girl--Marti--Do not allow people to get yu down-- Remember that "YOU" are special--that I said so (Don't tell them who I am----LOL) --- But--REALLY -YOU ARE SPECIAL!!--- Lynda

ReplyDeleteYes, cold and snowy here, too, and Miss Lilly is not impressed. Our Northeast is being pummeled. But we are okay, thankfully. Wishing all affected by this storm safety.
Love the blast from the past photos. Yes, I remember those days of toys all over. The kids had a good time, though.
Glad you told the cleaner that you depend on her!
Hope that the weather improves for you.
Hugs and blessings

Playing catch up again... we didn't get this snow, but the last one hasn't melted yet, in the middle of the lower 48, here. Tuesday it might start, then the next five days will polish it off for good.
ReplyDeleteI see you already blogged on Tuesday! See? Catching up.
