It is Saturday, February 21st-cold--- dark---getting light outside - I am dog sitting, Lola, Son #3's pooch (dog)---- They are due to return to-day--and poor Lola will be ever so happy to see them.--- She misses them so much! They are driving their 2 daughters to their respective Universities--should return to-day sometime--and, Lola, was left with Gramma (who is me!)-and she has cried ever since they left--Below is Lola-
but-When life becomes unbearable, as it has in Lola's life right now, -Lola likes to cover herself up, in her bed--as you see below-and not face the world---and she will not come upstairs where the rest of us sleep--so, I hear her crying , down in the living room--ALL night-- poor wee girl--so, last night I came down and slept beside her, me on the sofa--and her in her bed--Saturday, February 21, 2026

DeletePoor Lola can really cry like a baby--In the night I heard this weeping and wailing--It was LOLA--just sobbing like a person--Of course I had to go down and stay beside her--and then she buried herself under her blanket-- Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda and Lola! How sweet of you to sleep by Lola. You are such a great caretaker to all! My husband has always slept in the floor for several days with our yorkies when we first get them. I have to tell him that it is enough to sleep in the bed. LOL. The things we do! So cloudy in Ohio today but calm. Yesterday, so so windy and everyone’s trash cans blew away. Lots without power. It was terrible! Hope you have a wonderful Saturday and get rest after Lola is picked up. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh yes--Poor dogs when they miss their families--Allison just called and was waiting for her son to pic up a dead mouse in her furnace room--Yuckers !--I hope to get to visit her one day this summer--can meet yu then--Lynda
DeleteYuck is right on that mouse! Yes, I would love our ice cream party! LOL!
DeleteAllison said the weather in Medina was bad also-- Yes, the things we do for our pets eh?--Lynda
DeleteSo cute that her name is Lola! It makes me sad, too, thinking about her crying all night. You are a wonderful dog sitter to sleep with her last night! And I can only imagine the relief you will feel when she gets to go back home with her family! Our fur-babies are so precious to us. I don't know what I would do without my two spoiled cats - they are extra work for sure, but they are such good company for me, especially in the evenings when I am most lonely without my DH.
ReplyDeleteAww Sandta--She does miss her Mom and Dad-(Son#3)-- I guess I will be on the sofa again to-nite--Lynda
DeleteHard to see her so unhappy Sandra--Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteYes, poor Lola. She may think she's been abandoned. Of course, animals don't think in words like we do...they just go with their emotions. I'm glad her parents will return today.
I was thinking you may have been bothered by more snow. I wonder if Lola came over more often she would eventually bond with you and your pets and not be so sad.
It's cold here again. What we thought was the start of an early spring is gone. Oh, well. We deal with what Mother Nature throws at us. It's our choice to live where we do.
On to today's chores. I will check back a couple times and this evening for sure. Please try to have a good day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Yes Maggie-- perhaps if she were here more--but-- she has not been able to be here as I was not here--LOL-- I shall try to keep her more-- Lynda
DeleteYou are such a loving grandma to Lola, sleeping with her in her distress. I’m sure she appreciates it more than you know🌿 Carol in FL
ReplyDeleteHi Carol iN Florida-- Lucky yu yto be out of this snow-- Nice gto hear from yu--Lynda
DeleteAwwww! Poor Lola. I can identify. Would you believe that I am skipping a family outing to a college men's basketball game because Ember has an ear infection and I don't want to leave her alone for five hours while all the excitement happens elsewhere? Our hearts just go out to our fur-babies (even those we only have for a temporary stay).
ReplyDelete- Barb (OKM)
Yes--Even the Grand Fur Babies win us over--LOL_-Lynda
DeleteMorning!
ReplyDeletePoor Lola missing her humans. Nothing sadder than hearing a dog whimpering. That's sweet you slept near her to to try and console her.
I am guessing you didn't get a lot of sleep though. Tonight you might sleep like a baby.
Sun is out but it's in the low 30's after being in the 60's earlier this week. And they are calling for snow tomorrow, not a lot, maybe an inch or so.
I got all my dusting done and the bed changed and sheets washed. Now, hopefully I can chill a bit for the rest of the day. Saturday is supposed to be my free day, free of chores, appointments, etc. but it doesn't always work out that way. Crossing my fingers.
Hope you have a good one and Lola will be reunited with her family soon.
Hugs,
Jackie
yu are right Jackie--not much sleep at all--LOL--
DeleteAnother nite with Lola to-nite-Lynda

Well Lola goes home to-morrow--=Her Mom and Dad (son#3) PICK HER UP TOMORROW__ONE LESS FOR ME__LOL__LyndA
DeleteI always enjoy your quote!-Lynda
DeleteAwwwww, Gramma spoiled Lola. I am sure she appreciated it. Sounds like she’ll be very glad when her Mom and Dad pick her up!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely, Lola is onto something. Some days it just seems like a really good idea to bury your head in a blanket and sleep the day away! But then reality checks in. *SIGH*
Totally agree w/the last meme!
hugs and blessings!
