Make To--day the Best Day Ever!

It is Friday, February the 6th--I was out shovelling around the car--Will this snow ever end falling??--I cannot do it all this morning, so will have to call my 2  snow shovelers--  --who I have to pay-I never got back yesterday to finish writing a blog--I am sorry--  stuff just happened I guess--!

I must get to the grocery store to-day---so much to do isn't there?--  But, the wash is in--I hear the machine chugging away--Son#2 has not called yet--nor has the daughter in Ohio--the daughter who lost her DAD  and her DOG--  and is very sad about both!

Don't you wish you could make it right for  her?--LOTZA happy thoughts--and a little Sunshine!--I'll have to send that to all of you this morning--

so--a few "blasts from the past"--  --

The pic above is Himself, on the beach in Nova Scotia--If you look closely, he is the man standing up-
Below is Andie, Son#4's daughter--

Below is Allison,

I hear the wash machine--It is finished--I must  get it all into the dryer-- What would I ever do without these machines  --Remember the wringer washers??--And we thought they were the best!!!
So, I must call my 2  boys who shovel--I just cannot do the whole driveway--and they do the pen also for Lopez-
Oh---  that picture of Miss Hannah (below) with Emma just popped in here--cousins---
So be grateful that we were not kidnapped--last night--  Grammas seem to be a popular person these days!

WISE WORDS___#1.--Look for the ridiculous in everything and you will find it!
#2.-- Remember to say please!
#3Anyone can be happy in good times, but only the strong can be happy in bad times!
So I am off of here--to start the dryer--  Allison just called to say that the Olympics are on TV--
I hope your day is the best day ever--Well--make it that way---
WE MUST TRY!

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
    Happy Friday!
Sounds like you are getting the never ending snow up there. We have flurries but I don't think there will be much accumulation. They are predicting it hitting the 50's one day next week and then a day of rain. It's going to be a slushy, wet mess. I am not looking forward to that.
Probably a good idea to have the boys come shovel for you. That's nice that they also shovel out Lopez's area too.

Sorry to hear about Allison's dog. It's always hard to lose a pet, no matter how many times we go through it.

Please be safe and careful venturing out to the store.
    Have an awesome day!

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  2. It's Kathy. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has also lost her dog. I look at my little Daisy who sleeps so much now and has such a hard time getting up. I know we don't have a lot of time left with her and it makes me sad - so I try to remember to love her as much as I can! Today I go to the doctor to get another prolia shot - it's improving my bone density so that's good. I've started working on taxes but I don't know how much longer I will be able to do it - my brain just doesn't work as well as it used to. I'm glad you've got the 2 boys to help with shoveling. Have a good day and lets pray for an early Spring!

  3. Good morning, sis.

It is 35F here...over freezing. The snow is melting. Later it will get a bit colder. The sky is a beautiful blue.

Beautiful are your photos, too. So many memories, so many kids and grandkids...not to forget photos of Himself. I look at mine daily, too. I have a photo of all my grandkids on my desktop.

I have big plans today to get things done. I probably won't get to everything, though. To start, I want to get the recyclables our. Garbage was done yesterday.

I have a new spray to try that's supposed to neutralize allergens like dust mites and pet dander. Haven't figured out how to use it yet. First, I guess, is to vacuum, dust and get rid of the dust I can by myself.

I am happy your two boys can come to help with the enormous job of removing snow. They are no longer in school during the week?

We do need more help at our age, but we have the ability to help others, too.

I'd better get going, Lynda. I'll come back later to see how your day went. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. Hi Lynda
So sorry about Allison's dog. Thats always hard.
My himself is in ICU. Pneumonia and a brain bleed procedure. Praying things improve as hes not responsive. One day at a time.
Hoping you can wait to Go to the store. You eat out a lot so do you really need to get much? Roads sound dangerous. If you go, please be very careful.
I always like the words of wisdom. Thanks for sharing.
Assuming Matt made it safely home.
Enough with the snow! Decent above freezing temps and some sun in St.Louis.
Be safe. Have a good day.
    Marge
Prayers for my husband Ed appreciated from all.

  6. Hugs for everyone all around. And I need hugs, too. Admin in our area has gotten ridiculously uptight and I feel policed. I had a few motivational stickers up taped to my computer, and the network admin was there trying to get it so I could print and he ripped them off and said they weren't allowed. I feel that's an invasion of my personal space. He did not used to be that way in the old building. I went in to the bathroom and madly scrubbed, and then it was time to go home. And everything was going swimmingly, at the time. I think everybody has gone nuts lately.

    God Bless everyone!
    Marti
