A Bad Storm hits Elliot Lake

Now, Isn't the above so true?--We are made strong by the  storms we walk through.
and to-day  there is a terrible storm howling outside here----To-day  is Monday,  March the 16th, and whether we like it or not, we are a part of this day and, it is just beginning. So, all of us,  hope your day will be special--Here is Elliot we are in a rip raging blizzard--

And--  weird that I wrote about walking thru bad storms-(Last night)---and here I am--in the middle of the worst snow storm  in Elliot Lake that I have ever seen--

left to rt- Ethan, (Son#4-his son)--Son#2, the Pilot. and Hannah , his daughter, ME, with Fred. and, we all say, "Good Morning"-----but----the weather here is very bad--

7am----  I am up--but--we are still in this bad weather--The wind is howling and so so much snow- No -ploughs on the roads

Below---  my car--in the driveway--Look at all the snow--
It is Monday, March 16th   ---and whatta storm is going on here--  Lopez is up--as is Sushi--no wash machine on yet--   (Can you believe THAT?)--

I am afraid I must  get off this Computer for now and pay attention to this storm which is raging outside--We may lose power--and if we do, I will return after things settle down--

  4. Brrr! We have a slight coating of snow this morning and strong howling winds, but nothing like the blizzard you are experiencing! Your poor car! Buried under! Yikes! I am supposed to volunteer at the assisted living facility here in town, but I am not sure if I want to travel out in the freezing cold and terrible wind....we shall see. And Happy St. Patrick's Day early! I am fixing corned beef and cabbage for friends tomorrow and today I am making the dessert - a Guiness Chocolate Cake! Found the recipe online and it actually takes a cup of Guiness beer! It says it is really chocolatey! We shall see! Stay warm and safe today!

  5. Morning Lynda,
Yikes! That's a lot of snow. Doesn't look like you will heading out anywhere today. Poor Lopez has to go out to do his business in that. He might get lost in a snow drift. :-(
We don't have snow but we have temperatures in the 30's F and howling strong winds. Not looking forward to going out but I need to grocery shop today.
Stay safe and warm inside today and hope your power doesn't go out.

    Hugs,
    Jackie

  6. Good morning, sis. And it is. There is something, always, to be happy about.

Our storm finally ended. It's sunny outside, but only 2F.

I am about to leave to take 'Becca for her surgery. I thought I'd check in here first. I am glad I did.

I hope your snow boys are available. Probably school is cancelled today for them. Your car is almost buried!

The photos are great! Hannah is all grown up. It's great to see her with her uncle and you and Fred.

I hope to get something done here...taxes...while I wait for the call to pick 'Becca up. They may keep her overnight. Hopefully this time they get all the kidney stones.

Keep on truckin.' Remember that old saying?

    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Good morning Lynda, I am so sorry that you have to deal with such a severe snow storm. There are several severe heat warnings where I live. Tomorrow will be 98 degrees. I'm glad that I do not have to go anywhere. The weather we're having this week is breaking all records. I hope there is a vast improvement for you for next week's travel for your eye exam. Is it one of your sons who will be driving you? Great photo of you and Fred, a son and two grandchildren. Of course all of the photos that you shared are delightful.
