Get out your hats, umbrellas, knickers, and knee highs.....

Be kind to yourself---  I certainly have not been kind to myself to-day--  and I am later than late, posting--but--- I miss you all--so had to say hello and tell you--that--I do miss hearing from you --because-----
It is VERY VERY hot outside--too hot for Lopez the Chihuahua---The AC is on--been on all day--I believe it is something like 43 outside---and I just heard that we are really stuck with these high temperatures for the next couple of days-- I hope that your day is going well--

Are you feeling strong?--There is no use not to feel strong---  "Fake it till you make it!"----Some days are easier to be that way, than others---My heart will forever , go out to people who have lost their spouse--I never knew how long 24 hrs can be , until Himself passed----

A couple of "Blasts from the past""--

My Grandfather Wallace, and Gramma--  on the left--my Mom and her Dad on the far rt--
My Mother's Grandmother on the left--
Himself and I in Medina , Ohio--with Sophia in the middle--now entering University--in Cincinnati
Summer is here---  Get out and enjoy it!

  1. Oh it is so easy to be less than kind towards ourselves. But so important TO be kind to ourselves.

Hot here, as well. Using the a/c as judiciously as possible. Not looking forward to seeing this months energy bill. But have to keep it comfortable w/in bounds.

Such wonderful memories attached to those photos! They’re beautiful.

Stay cool in the heat! That’s what we’re doing too.

    Hugs

  2. Hi Lynda! Very hot in Ohio! I was out most of the day doing errands and grocery shopping. I plan to stay in for several days now. Got Tommy a bigger crate. His got a little small. He is 2 and has really grown up to be a long yorkie. Lol Kloi is 9 and much bigger but not crate trained. She hated a crate so bad as a puppy. Hope you had a good day. Hugs!

  3. Good evening, sis. I must be losing my mind. I thought you did a Monday blog way earlier. This is the comment I posted on it. Maybe you deleted it and did a new one? Here's that comment:
    Good morning, sis.
Your memes are all about believing it will turn out fine, but your tone todgay makes me think you are doubting that. Please don't do that. Focus and imagaine that everything goes just as you want it to go. The tiny things that don't really don't matter, anyway.
The most important thing is for you, your pets your favorite things (including the beloved piano) get moved without damage.
Yes, pups' paws need protection, I have heard of draping a damp towel over them for walks.
I am going to a neighboring town in less than an hour to see JoAnne (my friend with the bariatric walker that I used to take to karaoke). Her son says she's better than she's been for weeks. I sure hope so. Me and most of the other residents here have been praying like mad. JoAnne is such a sweet person, such a giver, and everyone loves her. We're not ready for her to leave us yet.
On to breakfast so I can do my preparations for the trip. I'll check back this evening, as usual. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Love all your family photos, dear. I wouldn't know who all the people are in my oldest ones.
Onca again, have a great night's sleep. My mana used to say, "Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite." And we never did have a bed bug!
    {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
