Time makes you Bolder----Children get Older-----

Well, you never know --what you wake up to?--  I stayed up last night---until the strike was done--I guess we shall see what  will be the result of the strike--My concern was Son#2 , in the sky, en route to Britain--When I texted him, to tell him what had just happened, his reply was-- "Oh Shit"-----I have not heard from him this morning yet--He is still in the air--

So, we (Lopez , Sushi, and me)--are up-- had breakfast--  Lopez has to go out yet--

This is Lopez, this AM--on the sofa, in the living room--He looks like he is hiding from the cold----

I  just heard from Son#2--He has landed in Britain safely---  He has his daughter with him on the 'plane--She is almost finished her University courses at  Ottawa--decided to go on a wee trip with her DAD--

This was Hannah visiting Himself and Gramma-(me)- many moons ago--Tempus Fugit--"Time flies"  doesn't it?-------A blast from the past , for sure!

So we have sunshine  to-day--muggy--with a coolish breeze-

This was Emma---  Son#3's daughter---now in her 2nd year university--

Above is Emma's Mom--  and her wee sister , Ava, in  her Mom's arms--, -She is -beside her Mom--  and Our Daughter Allison, holding Sophia , who is going  to spend next year at Xavier University in Ohio--where Himself received his Degree in Business-before going to medicine-so many great memories!

Himself resting, (babysitting)-beside Ethan, Son#4's son, who is in high school now--

So so many memories---  Good memories---makes me feel old you know!

IT"S ME!!!!

No matter what---Are you happy?--  Are you feeling like you can "take the bull by the horns"-(Dads expression of course)--

                                                    Enjoy the day-------and feel strong!

  1. Good morning, sis.
That last meme are the words to a country song by the Dixie Chicks:

Such a lot of blasts from the past today. I love them all.
Happy you heard from your son and grand daughter. I had to google the strike to see what you were referring to. Hope it's resolved quickly.
We are still under the 'heat dome' until 9 PM tonight. The 'heat index' (I think it's a combo of heat and humididty) was 107F yesterday! Needless to say, I finally turned my A/C on. You said you did, too.
I need to pick up cat food at the pet store. Lucky is on his last can.
I'm surprised Lopez doesn't want to go out and tinkle immediately you wake up. He's really a good boy.
Sunday can really be busy in the laundry room, but I plan to try for another load. I've got huge 'bath sheets' and blankets that need a bath.
I am happy...we choose that ourselves, don't we. And here we encourage each other and are amazed at our differences and similarities. They make life interesting.
On to other stuff, Lynda. Keep that wonderful positive attitude. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Morning Lynda,
Thanks for sharing all the pictures. Lovely memories. The one of himself relaxing is wonderful.
Oh how cool that Sophia is going to go to Xavier.
It's going to be another hot one here today, in the 90's with high humidity. I don't plan on spending much time outside today. I have plenty to do inside. Thank goodness for A/C. I don't know how I got through my childhood without it. lol.
    Have a great day!

  5. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. We are having another really hot day, it's already in the 90's. Daisy and I will stay indoors and turn up the A/C if needed. It's nice to have a break from gardening. It's hard to not worry about our children, isn't it! The city where my son and his family live had straight line winds topple some really big trees yesterday. I only saw it on the news this morning, called and, of course, he didn't answer. The news showed the lake area, they are not too close to the lake up there so I hope they're fine - but yes, I still worry! I hope you have a great day. Love the photos! Such wonderful memories - but these grandchildren grow up too fast, don't they?
