You get in life what you have the courage to ask for!

AND WE BELIEVE--  don't we??--So, How you all be??-- -------

NEVER EVER forget that!-----I think we shall see the sun to-day--  Yesterday it turned into a very hot day-- I even had the AC on--- but--I did have to get in to Peterborough to the Opthamologist  who told me that all was well, and hopefully he will refer me back now to the Kent Eye Institute in Sudbury--I had to get a ride in, as my appointment was for 6-15pm  ---so almost dark when I returned.

To-day I hear it is going to be another warm day----Oh--Yesterday I bought a washer and a dryer for the new place in Elliot Lake, which will be delivered there, when we move in--

And my brother with his wife will arrive to-day from New Hampshire--Isn't that just so nice??--Well, I heard  on the radio--CBC--how important it is to exercise daily , so, I decided to get back to that--perhaps walk vigorously around the block--but---guess what?--  I have not done it  yet for to-day--Why??--  I AM going to fit this into my day , ----one day --soon too!

A "Blast from the past"--couple of pictures-- The first is son #2 , many moons ago--=with Son #4 when he broke his arm, playing t school--and I remember how upset his father was to see this--

The  picture below,  is of Kailua Beach in Hawaii-one of our few trips there when our daughter was nursing at Trippler Medical Centre--a beautiful beach.
Remember to be strong to-day ---We must believe that no matter our age, be strong!

  1. Morning Lynda,
Another hot one here today as well, going to hit the high 80's I believe.
Glad all went well with the eye doctor. That's good news!
My Nephew was born at Tripler Army Hospital on Oahu. And the beaches there are so gorgeous.
Have a good day and enjoy your visit with your brother.

  3. Good morning, sis.
Great blog today as always...love the photos! I have been to that beach!
It was when my doctor son invitied me on a Hawai'ian vaca with him and his family back in 2022.
I've been up and at 'er already. Trying to get some cleaning done. After I sort it, I hope I can get someone to haul my garbage and recylclables out. Also have to clean the runner in front of the kitchen sink and the bathroom rugs, too.
It's beautifully sunny today. Much less haze from the fires. I hope that means they're being istinguished.
Yes, exercise makes life better. It can be hard to get started, but I know I always feel better and more flexible afterward.
Happy your appointment went well and that you got good news.
I probably won't get results of my MRI yesterday 'til tomorrow or the next day.
17 days until I can drive my new car. Bummer.
Love the meme about getting what you ask for. Besides that, you gotta BELIEVE you will get it.
Will check my VA website now to see if they have given me the ability to order the drugs I need for pain relief. They make doing things so much easier. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. Good afternoon Lynda,
I am glad you received my last message. I am happy you had a good outcome at the eye doctors. I am still being treated for glaucoma and taking 3 different medications. I am glad Dan is here to put them drops in my eyes.
We had hot weather yesterday (90 degrees) today we have 57 and rain. Yesterday we power washed the gazebo and screens, also the chairs and tables. It is getting to be a chore.
I loved the pictures; makes you wonder where the time went.
Since you don't have lawn to mow you better start that walking program you were talking about. I haven't walked lately but I have been getting over 8,000 steps just trying to keep up w/garden etc. outside. Well take care my friend, I guess I better get some work done in the house. Love Bev

  5. The good news is, you walk Mr. Lopez at least once or twice a day so you're not sedentary all day. You spent so much time on yard work and housework at your old house that you were more active than in your smaller place. Hopefully you can find some working out that you enjoy.

I currently go to the gym twice a week -- one day I work with my trainer and the other I work out on my own using the free weights and machine weights he's trained me on. And, walking, of course. At home I work out most other days with weights and my seated elliptical bike ... I feel so much better when I work out.

I'm switching over to a new computer, and it's taking some work. I'm also switching from Google to (I think ) Edge ... apparently a bit more secure than Google, but this old pup is having to work hard to get competent with it. I'm switching various things from this computer to my new one ... so if vanish for a bit it's because I'm figuring it out on the new computer. :o

    Happy Wednesday!!

  7. It's Kathy. Love the flashback photos. I need to go through all of mine - label them so my kids know who's who after I'm gone. If they even care - sometimes I think the memories aren't as important with the newer generations. It's a beautiful day here and Tom even came out and helped me in the yard a bit. It's so easy for him. What takes me an hour to do, he can do in 15 minutes. He thinks "why bother" but I need it to look better outside. We have such a big yard! I'm so glad all is well with your eye! Have a lovely day!

    1. Hello. I don't know if I'm "the younger generation" or not, having just turned 67, but photos are very important to me, as my memory is not at all good. I take a lot of pictures, and keep them on Google Photos somewhere in the cloud (and on my computer). I figure when I'm old and have dementia, someone can log on, and show me all the wonderful memories that I've forgotten! - Marti
