Choose NOT to be a miserable cow!

Good morning--just going to take Lopez out--The sun is up--It seems a tad cooler--I shall let you know  if it really is a bit cooler--and yes, do you ever give some love to yourself?--"YOU" are so important--wrap your arms around "you"--and give "YOU" a huge hug--- I shall return---probably in an hour--

It seems very hot and humid outside-----The AC unit upstairs is doing it's job very well --and some  cool air, is coming down to the main level here, but it sure is still very warm -----  I wonder when this heat wave will pass?--We are now 17 days and no rain---
Yesterday I went down the 1005 stairs -(well it is only something like 97 stairs down)-to son#1's dock--  There was such a lovely breeze there-----  It helped to pass the day  to get out of here--  I shall go there this afternoon also--
So I now have found a store to hang window coverings--probably some kind of blind--That will eliminate me doing it---Yeahh!!!!--

I found some very cute pictures of our daughters --daughter--- blasts from the past--#1--waiting  her brother to be born--

                                                        #2--And--there he is-----so cute eh??/
and he is a "bit of alright--
It is fun to look back  when the Grandchildren  were so young

So, life goes on----and on----- and we must also---
I hope your day is absolutely spectacular--Make it a good day__Do NOT be that miserable cow---and----                                                        GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN FOR SURE!

  1. Good Monday Morning,
It's going to be another hot one here today with high humidity. We have been on this weather cycle for weeks now. Ah well, fall will be here soon enough.
This hot weather can be hard on our pets, just make sure to have fresh water available for Lopez when he is outside for any length of time. Pets can get heat stroke just like humans.
I don't think I could stand being without A/C. I can't take the heat like I used to when I was younger. Glad you have it too.
    Have a good one!

  3. I am so happy things are going well for you in your new home! Actually I am envious as I thought I was going to get to move back to my newly renovated home, but now the cleaning company says they need to have a professional service to come in and make sure my furnace has been thoroughly cleaned and working properly.....and the people who took my furniture and dishes can't give me a date when they can bring my belongings that were salvaged back to the house. I am so disappointed! I hope that Sushi is becoming used to your new home! I worry about my two cats as they will be moving for the 3rd time and the house will not look or smell the same as all new flooring and carpeting and every wall and doors and woodwork have been painted....and all new vanities and kitchen cabinets and appliances have been replaced! I don't even recognize the place! Now I just have to buy couches and mattresses, etc as nothing with fabric could be saved.....whew! Fingers crossed that I can do all this stuff. Been living in the little rental house for 237 days now and I am so ready to go back home!

  4. Sounds like you are settling in and enjoying being back at Elliot Lake. Glad your family is staying in touch and you have opportunities to get out. Your townhouse looks perfect for you and your pets. Hopefully this will be your last move, two in one year is a bit much!

  5. It's Kathy. We have a little cooler day today, although I finally went out to pick more beans (I'm sure I left them too long) and it wasn't as cool as I thought. I should get out to the back and pull some weeds but I just don't have the energy! And Daisy refuses to go outside with me. We clipped her yesterday, I pulled about 1/2 of a Target plastic bag of fur off the floor. But she looks so much better. There are a couple places that need a little more trim but I'm sure she'll be cooler now! Enjoy your time at the lake, even after the 1003 steps! Have a good afternoon.

  6. Wish I could share our way over-abundant rain w/you. LOTS of flooding here and more rain expected. Not a happy situation! But we are allright.

You sound much happier to be back home! So glad for you.

  7. Our little cool down of several days will be coming to an end. Just in time for the start of school! And the longer term forecast shows heat well into September, too. Ember has been back into a huge mischief phase. She really does not like the rain, and seems to need to chew A LOT which frustrates me, because chew sticks to excess is not good for her weight management!

Enjoy being "home" in Eliot Lake... it just seems you are happier there.

  8. H, Lynda - Your townhouse looks so inviting. Glad you are getting out and spending time with family and friends. This has been a brutal summer as far as heat and humidity goes. It always feels a little bittersweet as we near the middle of August. It’s hard to let go of the lazy days of summer. So happy you are getting some time at the lake with your son and his family. ❤️
