We Can Do It!

Good morning--  It is a cold morning--I still had the AC on, so, when I got out of bed, it was freezing in here-- turned off the AC--and began to look for small heaters for now--We had a huge thunder storm last night , go through  here---and I guess from now on, the hot  days will be few, and the cooler fall weather seems to have rolled in--

So, little Lopez  and I did our early morning walk--Of course he did his business--and I carried it home. Gone are the days one could just leave "that business" on someone's lawn---I will have to call retirement Living, and have them check this weird oil stove---(or is it a gas stove?)---  In any event, there must be a pilot light in it, so it should be checked--I think)--

The new fence is  beautiful---  lacking a gate which will be added soon--

It doesn't  look like it, but it was very costly to build it--the wooden boards are expensive, and the 2 people who worked on it need to be paid.----  But, when I am out in the yard now, with Lopez, he will be safe!--Plus, now I can help  dog- sit,  Son#3 with is 2 dogs------

To-day it is Ava's Birthday--16 years old---son#3 daughter---  exciting for her--and a Birthday party to-night at their home --We will all go to wish her the best birthday ever!

ReMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE   16 YEARS OLD???----

LIFE goes on--and on--  and the best part is, we are  coping--because we have to---We have to be stronger than we even know we are---

We ALL are truly amazing-- and we must remember that-- ---

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
Looks like the fence is coming along. It will be nice for Lopez and you when it's finished.
Have fun at your Granddaughter's sweet 16 birthday party. Sounds like a nice day is planned.
    Enjoy!

  2. Good morning, sis.
It stormed here last night. My weather app says it will continue today 'til 5 PM! We've had enough rain! I also saw a notification on the pc that we are to expect an full inch of rain tomorrow!
The fence looks great! How long will it be before they install the gate?
So you also have walking trails for Lopez and a 24 hour food store in Elliot? I thought those were new to you when you moved to Lakeville.
My 'adopted' daughters (which I haven't mentioned for awhile) are getting their large property all cleaned up, trimmed, etc. and sorting things inside in case they need to move. That will only be if T gets the supreme court to do away with same sex marriage. They have been married 12 or 13 years, and don't want to lose their rights. If they move, it will be Canada.
I have laundry in and will need to do one more load.
The birthday party will be fun for all. We used to joke, "Sweet 16 and never been kissed."
Now to the dishes in the sink. I'll be back to check later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda, I wanted to comment on this but didn't have time when I read your post. I went back a couple of hours later and it had disappeared. Now it is back.

The fence is nice and will be wonderful when the gate is installed. I know things are expensive, but sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and do what is necessary.

So, you have a birthday party to attend. I am glad you are getting all of these invites from your sons.

The government ordered the flight attendants to return to work. The flight attendants are choosing to defy the order. Good for them. I am sure some of the flight attendants are male, at least that's how it is with U S Airline Companies.

  4. It's Kathy. I love the fence. We keep talking about getting a fence down one side of our yard. Not because we need to keep Daisy in but because the neighbor on that side is not very nice and watches us in everything we do! Just one time I'd like the privacy to go out in my yard without her coming out on her deck! But like you said, it is very costly. We went and visited our other 2 grandsons this afternoon - that was pure chaos! Those are the boys with Autism and they are hard to corral! But it was nice to see them for a bit and we got a Dairy Queen when we came home! I actually do remember my 16th birthday - that one was pretty special. My mom let me have a party. She made something she called Pizzaburgers which is still one of my favorite meals! Happy Birthday to Ava! Have a wonderful afternoon.
