--and we have rain falling----It sounds wonderful!- I cannot remember a rainy day, in a very long time--I turned off the AC-------and opened the windows---
The fence builders were here all day yesterday--digging fence holes----cementing in the posts , after digging up countless rocks--There will eventually be a gate , coming into the yard--at the corner of the house. -----The other 3 sides of the yard were already fenced--We are just adding the fourth side, which would enclose the yard for little Lopez, and for that, I had to get a permit from the city--This is Elliot Lake--_ looks peaceful doesn't it? The lake is clean --has a sandy bottom--and a sandy beach-- and look at the hills in the back ground--This is the reason we moved here years ago--The lakes ion Ottawa were polluted-- and here , the water was clean--with life guards on the beach to protect everyone in the water--The children took their swim
Good Morning,
ReplyDeleteLooks like the fence is coming along nicely. Having a fenced yard will help keep little Lopez safe when he goes outside.
Not to worry you, but when we had little dogs we still had to keep an eye on them because sometimes there were hawks flying around and could snatch them up quick. Sorry, I am sure you already are aware of that from living out in the bush, it's just that I remembered that's what we had to do even in a fenced yard with small dogs.
I did read where Air Canada was on strike. I do hope they get it worked out soon and you are right, women have to fight too much for what they deserve..
The lake looks beautiful and peaceful.
Enjoy your Saturday!
Jackie
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteElliot Lake is truly beautiful. I can see why you moved back. Even tho' you are further away from Matt, no walking trails for Lopez, no 24 hour food store walking distance from your home, no recycling, etc.
There will be thunder storms here 'til almost noon and again starting early evening. I will probably not go to karaoke. My night driving glasses that cut the glare are broken. I dislike driving at night, anyway. And it sure is a fact that I have plenty to do here.
My daughter's birthday is in a week, and I have to think of something quickly for her. I have a couple ideas.
I am glad your fence is getting assembled already. Lopez will have a little freedom.
I haven't even eaten breakfast yet so I will get to that now and check back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteRain sounds wonderful. We are in need of rain as the high 90s temps continue. Everything is burning up. Yard is friend.
That sure is a big fence for a tiny dog lol. You'll have lots of privacy.
I had no idea flight attendants only got paid for time in air. That doesn't sound fair at all. I do hope strike gets settled quickly. I guess Matt's off for a bit too.
Elliott Lake is very pretty.
Take care.
Hugs from very hot St.Louis

Little Lopez is one lucky fella!! His very own fenced yard….yahoo….will he go out by himself or do you have to stand out with him for his safety?
ReplyDeleteSeems like you are making your new residence comfortable for all 3 of you…hopefully, Sushi is adjusting to her new domain! Happy Saturday to you back at Elliot Lake! Eissa7 (Karen)
Good morning, Lynda! The lake looks so peaceful! Your fence is coming along. Have them to put a latch on the gate that lets you put a padlock on it! I went to the amish market this morning for my weekly produce and got a cold coffee. I love my Saturday morning outings. Cloudy in Ohio today but very humid. Hope your day is lovely! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's Marti. I'm confused. It looks like the fence is going down the middle of your yard, LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's Kathy. We also had rain. It started last night and some storms came through early this morning. Elliot Lake looks like a very beautiful place! I miss being by a lake - there's nothing much where we live now. My son, DIL and Grandson have left for their next visit and while it's always sad to say goodbye, it's so peaceful now. We miss Annie (Daisy's sister) the most. Our grandson Samuel is a bit of a terror with 2 parents who don't want to "rock the boat" so he just does what he wants to do. Like last night when it was time to eat dinner, he stayed in the room watching TV. Neither parent asked him to come to the table but my husband did - and he came! Today we will both relax and catch up! I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, saw this afternoon that Air Canada is on strike. *SIGH* Yes, it is AGGRAVATING that women have to fight for their rights. I hope it is a short lived strike.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you and Lopez and Sushi are back home in Lake Elliot.
HUGS and peace
