Remember that you are special!

GOOD MORNING--thunder storms this AM--- lots of rain--so, Lopez and I have NOT been out in it--yet!-----It feels like "fall" is  kicking in ---

Yesterday, the blinds got purchased---AND put up--unbelievable!  Gil, the workman, and I went to "The Hart " store--bought them, after checking what seemed like a million boxes, looking for the right measurement.  Should we put them on the inside of the window--or--the outside frame?--Well, that depended on what blind--what box, showed each measurement--so, we purchased them (6 blinds)- brought them home--AND --they fit every window--unbelievable!------and--they really do look good--

It took most of the day, but, they are hung now---  AND--I CAN CLOSE THEM AT NIGHT-- WooWoo!
We did 4 rooms I think!
So, finally,  this place is feeling--AND looking like home! It takes time !
So, how are you feeling this morning?--Are you happy?

Yes, remember that!!!
Think about  the above---remember how special you are!

  1. Good morning, Lynda! Cloudy in Ohio, again! Your blinds look so good and I know they make you feel good! I knew you didn’t need an outside company to do it! You will be done before Winter and you can relax with a book, piano and fur babies! So happy for you! Have a lovely day! Hugs!

  2. Lynda, I can't believe how much you have accomplished! Things are really shaping up. Your Fred would be very proud of you. Things are finally beginning to cool a bit here in eastern NC. High 80's rather than 90's with a real feel way higher! Your lake is beautiful! I'm so glad for you that you are back home.

  3. Morning Lynda,
The blinds look nice and I bet you feel like you have a little more privacy now.
Hope the rain stops enough you can get little Lopez outside.
We finally have a little sun today after several days of cloudy, dreary skies. Only going to hit hit high 70's or low 80's today. I think Fall is on the way.
    Have a good one!

  4. It's Kathy. Your blinds look so nice! Yes, your home is beginning to feel like YOUR home! I love that. I am so anxious to remake my home MINE. It's been at least 3 years since I've been strong enough to do the things I need to do - now they're all in my head. I'm trying to get the outside work done before it snows - which, yes, it is starting to feel like fall here too! And then wait with the inside work until winter when I can't go outside. But I want it all done now! Thank you for the positive messages - I'm sending a couple of them to my daughter who is struggling right now! Have a wonderful day!

  5. I like them! I really don't like my blinds so much, they were here when I moved in, your basic horizontal metal blinds, but always feel frozen in looking into replacing them. I'm not good at measuring, want those light blinds you can pull up or down, and figure it'd have to be done custom and be over the top expensive, so nothing gets done. Someday I'd like to replace my kitchen countertop that is poor quality and the elderly lady who used to live here left a burn stain on, but yet again it seems too complicated. I contacted Home Depot, but they wanted me to measure and asked all these questions that I didn't have the answer to, such as what kind of countertop I wanted and what kind of sink, etc. Oh well, it's not really all that important, it all works and is functional, just isn't the most attractive. I've lived here for 6 years now. I have done some important things. Replaced some bathroom light fixtures, new toilets, got rid of the carpet and all light gray laminate flooring throughout. New kitchen appliances. Everything is automated w/Philips Hue lights and Alexa. I just walk in and tell Alexa to turn on the lights or turn them off. Same with the thermostat. I want to get those fancy push button bluetooth locks for front and garage door. The vanities in the bathrooms need updated. Someday.

  6. Oh, and I had to have a new garage door put on, a few years back. That cost a lot.

    Have a good day!

  7. Good afternoon, sis.
Your blinds look wonderful! Are they easy to control?
    I saved one meme today.
I am late checking today. I have been on the phone for quite awhile reserving a round trip train ticket to Chicago. I am treating myself to a Law of Attraction workshop at the end of next month. I can hardly wait.
Other than that, things are as usual here. Clouds are moving in around our blue sky. T storms due later. If it's bad, I won't go to karaoke...again.
I'm eating a blueberry muffin. Lucky just had lunch. We will be snoozing soon. Then if it's not storming, I will be able to last a few hours at karaoke. I did so many chores yesterday, I'm kinda taking a day off.
I will check back later, though. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
We need to think like the song from "Annie"..."The sun'll come out Tomorrow..."

  8. Hope the rains stop soon.

The blinds look nice! Glad they all fit!

Noticed Queen Elizabeth standing guard in the corner of the bedroom!

You’re making progress on getting settled in. Good for you!

  9. Hi Lynda
That was great work...went to store with handyman, bought stuff and he put it up. Wahoo and done. All in the same day.
Does your king bed fit in your BR? I noticed the Queen moved along in the guest room.
    It's finally cooler in St.Louis.
I liked the inserts. Thanks for sharing.
    Have a great day.
    Hugs
