Ho Ho Ho!--It is Tuesday, December 2nd--and---- last night--here---about 4 ft of snow fell--on the car--on the driveway --in the yard--I had to clean off the car----let it run a bit to melt some snow-and the guy I hired way back when, came along in his big Kaboka trackter)--and ploughed out by the road so I could move the car out there until he comes back to clear the driveway--he said in a couple hours-- so--needless to say-- I will not be going out for breakfast with my friends---I forgot how much snow Elliot Lake can get--Lopez and I have been out AND HE DID HIS BUSINESS__good little doggie!
Yesterday the Computer guy worked on this computer (and it is new!)-all day trying to retrieve all my photos which I had buried somewhere on the computer--He found some--and lots are gone I guess--(sobbing)
Anyway, he did find some I hadn't seen in years--
like the ones below-
-Hannah, son #2's daughter looking down at the city of Elliot Lake, from the fire tower lookout-Notice--all the trees--the city--and the lakes-
-below---Hannah, again--exhausted----Hannah now finished University in Ottawa
-----and Fred and I-below--trying to cook--
so---- Here we are into December----Are you happy go see Christmas so close??--
Good morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteI am happy the computer tech found at least some of your photos.
You took lots of photos of Hanna. I don't know what you and Fred were cooking, but it had lots of ingredients that I like.
We didn't get any more snow overnight. Thank goodness. It's only 11F here and the sky is cloudy.
I am almost ready for Christmas. For a change, I was able to get a gift for everyone this year. On Amazon, I can order gift cards and sent them via text message to my far away family.
'Becca asked me to take her to Walmart. Seems she often wants to go during my nap time or when it's dark already. Cheesh!
Your words of wisdom are always welcome. Wish the name of the original quoter was added, however.
I'll be back later, Lynda. Protect your back removing all that snow.
{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
It's Kathy. I'm so sorry you lost some of your photos. I worry about that myself, but in the end I also wonder who will want them or even care after I'm gone. After my mom left this world I found so many things that I'd remembered from my childhood and they were so important to me. But my children just don't seem to be interested in our history! That is a lot of snow - I wouldn't go out either! I'm glad your plow guy made a spot for you to get your car out of the driveway, so he can come back and plow that. I had an event tomorrow evening that I was going back and forth about going - and I'm so glad that today it was cancelled. I think it's hard to go out, especially at night, when there's snow and the weather is so cold. Good for little Lopez for taking care of business. Daisy's not real fond of the snow but she braves it! Have a good dayl
ReplyDelete4 feet or 4 inches?? I feel like 4 feet would be a state of emergency.
ReplyDeleteI caught myself singing along to the Christmas music in the grocery store this morning! LOL! It must be the snow on the ground or something, but I am feeling like the week after Christmas, sort of!
