Great Quote--I love it!--Lynda
DeleteMorning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteYes, today is Groundhog Day. I am not a big believer in those predictions. I think they should just leave that poor groundhog alone and let him live a normal groundhog life.
This has been a cold winter for a lot of us. We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. There will probably be big a run to the grocery store for essentials by everyone, which should be fun (just kidding) since today is my normal grocery day.
Good to hear Son#2 is winging his way home. And I am sure it's a relief for you. Wow, safe rooms in the hotel, that is scary that they need to have those.
You have a wonderful Monday and stay warm!
Hugs,
Jackie
Yes it is Groundhog day--Allison 's dog died--thats why I am so late finishing this post-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda! It is sunny and 13 in Ohio but so much snow on the ground! That groundhog says six more weeks of Winter! Happy Matt is on his way home! When will son #1 make it back home? Stay warm and have a marvelous Monday!
ReplyDeleteSon #1will; be back here I think Wednesday--I do miss them,-Lynda
DeleteGood morning, sis.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit warmer here...10F and beautifully sunny. It's supposed to reach 20F!
The groundhog saw his shadow...six more weeks of winter. We knew that. He didn't even have to tell us!
Two friends (male) shoveled all around my car yesterday late afternoon...and cleaned the car off, too. Now, today, I can go do my errands.
It's been a good day so far, except I woke up to kitty throw up on the carpet. It's been a couple weeks, and we have to excepect it with our feline pets. They're worth it.
I'll be back later, too, Lynda to see how your day went. I think of you during that time away from here.
Oh, I forgot yesterday to say that I am not a Trump fan, either. I am for human rights for EVERYONE! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
No--Canadians do not like Trump--Poor Allison--Her dog was vomiting and then died--last nite--Matt on his way home-- Andrew soon also--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteIt's finally above freezing here YAY.
Im glad Matt is headed back home. Long, long flight but hes headed in the right direction. How far is Ontario from his lake house? I assume its far.
Yes, the official groundhog saw his shadow...the St.Louis zoo groundhog did not. Either way its six more weeks of winter. We can do it.
Enjoy your day.
I love Snoopy.
Warm hugs from St.Louis
Marge
1 do not like Matt flying there-- 11 to 12 hrs to fly there-- I dont like him going there--He cud hear bombs going off--Lynda
DeleteWarmer day here too! When I taught kindergarten, my little students loved Ground Hog Day....as we had crafts and activities to make it a fun special day! As adults, I don't think many of us believe that a ground hog can predict when spring weather will actually arrive, but I think we just need a diversion to tolerating winter cold and snow! I am just thankful that the temperatures today are supposed to rise about freezing and hopefully my snow packed street will thaw and it will be easier to drive on!
ReplyDeleteOh Sandra-- It will be wondertful to get rid of all the snow!-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Yes, I'm glad I don't live where it's snowing so much. I talked with my SIL on Friday to wish him a Happy Birthday. They live in Roanoke, Virginia where is has snowed so much that they closed the schools for an entire week. They almost NEVER get snow! It snowed here yesterday but only about 2 inches, and the light powdery snow. More protests here - now they are going after our Target Stores. I'm so over this! I hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYes-- Isn't that terrible--Here too--Our dollar stores--Lynda
DeleteHi, it's Marti. I read that it is just a fun tradition to get people out and about and forgetting about the - what i call it - the SUCK of January. Have anyone of you seen "Groundhog Day?" If not, you really should watch it, it's a great little movie! My bf and I - we used to watch it every year at this time and decided to make our anniversary on this day, only we broke up, so we cannot celebrate it anymore, oh well. But I WILL watch the movie, probably tonight! Tradition, you know!

Hi Lynda! I’m so sorry to see this about Allison’s dog! Same thing with my first yorkie that left us 3 years ago. It happened fast! I am 40 minutes from her so I know she feels my sorrow for her and the family! Please tell her from Ashland. She will know where I am.
