  2. Good morning, sis.

Great photos as usual, but how about that photo of the large group? I don't believe you told us about that one.

Yes, warmer weather is on the way. Tomorrow for us, it's supposed to be 44F! It's sunny and 26F now.

I need to do my sheets and bed, too. Yes, clean sheets are great.

I'm pretty much taking the day off today. It IS Sunday. I want to watch the Olympics tonight. Today it will be full of the Super Bowl. I don't care about that one.

Lucky is telling me it's playtime now. I'll go do that (don't want him to think I don't want to play) and come to check back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

Your one wise word saying reminds me of that old adage, "What goes around comes around."

  3. Good Morning Lynda,
Oh that's good news you will be getting a warm up in the weather. We are supposed to here as well.
I like winter but the bitter cold gets to be a little much when it goes on for weeks.
I don't have too much going on today, I need to get my workout in and I am sure hubby will watch the Super Bowl. We are making homemade pizza for dinner. I will be watching Hallmark Channel and maybe check out some of the Olympics.

Have a good day and stay warm. Here are a couple of soup recipes you might try. You might have to cut the recipe in half if it makes a lot. One is a crock pot recipe. Hope you like them.

  5. It's Kathy. I love your #3 above - so true. It is really cold where you are - I have to change to Fahrenheit to understand. I hope it warms up soon. We are seeing a warming pattern. When I went out with Daisy this morning I could sit outside and not be freezing. It felt good to feel the sunshine on my face. I always love your photos - I remember the clothing in the second photo. Wishing you a very happy day!

  7. I also live "alone" and some things help: companion animals (you've got that). Establishing regular routines: have you started up regular hair appointments again, yet? Walking the dog counts!

Ember, Prisoner and I have a well-established morning order: I get dressed before I come downstairs. Cat gets fed and cleaned up after first. Then dog: Allergy med, then Breakfast, wash her dish, give her an after-breakfast treat (which is a probiotic chew), play some, then chill on the couch with mommy. Last of all is Mommy: coffee while dealing with dog, cook my own breakfast when the tummy says and the dog is settled. After mom's breakfast, it's poo patrol in the backyard, followed by a short car ride (because it's too cold this time of year for mom to feel up to walking).

As long as we follow these rituals, in this order, it keeps the animals and me "regulated". Everything else is added on to the base elements.

I'm betting you have some you could name, too. Oh, and there's nothing illegal about talking aloud to the animals! 😂
