Listen, Think, Earn, Forgive, Feel, Love!

Nothing is really wasted in life----- One might not realize it at the time--Usually, "stuff happens" and it  usually happens for a reason--

Yesterday, I felt so ill--coughing--tired--- feverish---I found out later in the day, that I was on the wrong dosage of "Thyroxin-"- --Lordy Be! I hadn't had the level checked in years--How on earth did that happen??--I guess, looking after Himself, I never gave myself a thought---So, I was not on a high enough dosage to "keep me going"---probably the reason I cried a lot---so, this morning, the Pharmacist will send over the correct dosage-- So, if you are a caregiver as I was, perhaps think about getting your own blood work done--

It is a new day--Son #1 will arrive today with his wife and daughter--There is a dance recital in Peterborough, so they are down here for that-- Their daughter is a great little dancer!!! -As a baby, she would dance to her Mom's phone--It was cute to see ---and now she  is like a professional dancer---It will be wonderful to see them all--They drove from Elliot , down here, to Peterborough--quite a long way--probably will stay at the Holiday Inn there in downtown Petertborough---so--a happy event happening  here, for a few days--

Son #2 was supposed to fly to Jamaica to-day, but  the flight was changed, so he is back here in Lakefield--nice to have him back--and we are now going out for breakfast--- pretty nice!!

Hopefully you are happy this AM---AND-----in a good mood---

            It seems like a good day------to -------have a good day----Doncha thin ??????

So, put on your happy face--and face this day----

  1. Good Morning Lynda,
I hope the correct dosage of your meds will help you feel better. That will be nice to get to visit with son#1 and his family. Hopefully spring like weather will be there soon. Have a fun day!

  2. Good morning, Lynda! Hope you are feeling better today. I am glad they noticed your meds were the wrong dosage. How fun for the family coming to visit and the dance recital so close to you. Enjoy it! How are you and the fur babies doing today? Rainy in Ohio but all is well but labs Monday. You know I hate that! I learned recently you can put lidocaine on your arm?! I do have them use a butterfly needle. Lol Hugs!

  3. Hi Lynda
Oh good, the right dosage of meds will likely give you more energy.
How nice son 1 and family are coming to your area. You'll get to see your dancing granddaughter. Nice.
Matt taking you out for breakfast again. He's my kind of son. Gotta love Matt. With #1 and family in town there will probably be more eating out Wahoo.
Loved the Shakespeare insert. So hard not to have expectations but so worth it.
    Enjoy your day.
    Love and hugs

  4. It's Kathy. I'm so glad you found out that you were on the wrong dosage of your medication. I hope once that's corrected you will start to feel better. Yes, I believe you were so busy looking after himself that you neglected your own care - we women tend to do that, don't we! I feel like I am to go-to person for everyone in my life and today I had this thought: Who can I go to??? My husband will listen to me talk about how I feel, but he provides no feedback. My children don't seem to really care. And I can't even connect with any friends - everyone is so busy these days! But that's my rant for today. It's warm here today and that makes me happy. I'll be so glad when we can turn off the heat! Enjoy your breakfast!!!

  5. Oh oh oh. That little thyroid glad affects so much in our bodies! Glad you had your level checked and hopefully on track w/the
Med now. For sure, low levels can cause mood disruption, but that said, you had a LOT on your plate taking care of your beloved Himself, selling/buying houses and moving. All adds up emotionally!

So nice you’ll have a visit from Son #1 and family.

So glad, too, that you have son #2 in your life. He is so much help!

  6. Good morning, sis. I'm glad you feel better, but I don't understand how not enough thyroid could make you feel flu-ish. If it works, in combo with the antibiotic, thats great.
What fun coming up for you. I assume you will go to the dance recital, too. And out for breakfast, also.
I am still waiting for my old car title to come so I can get a new one.
Otherwise, all is fine in my little corner of the world. The weather is partly sunny, temp not quite as high as I'd like it, but not bad. No rain...OR SNOW!
Got quarters for laundry. Time to eat a bite and start doing things. A nap later with Lucky (I am the lucky one!)
Hope you post photos of your granddaughter dancing!

  7. Glad that it was noticed that the dosage of your thyroid medicine was off. Isn't it strange on how that little gland can cause so much trouble with our body and emotions? Now that you know that, I'm sure you'll keep a closer eye on that won't you? What great news that your son, daughter in law and granddaughter will be there for a few days. I'm sure you'll all have a great time. I'm sure it will boost your mood tremendously. Any son that would take me out to breakfast, where I didn't have to cook, would be #1 in my book. I just love going out to breakfast. Take care of yourself.

  8. Hi Lynda: Good that you found out about your medication being wrong. Now you don't have to worry about it being anything else. Hope you will feel better later especially since more family will be there. And Matt having his flight cancelled will get a chance to see them too. Have a good night. Brenda

  9. Oh, so glad your thyroid medication has been corrected. Crying is to be expected after a great loss like yours, but feeling awful on top makes it all seem worse.

Breakfast out is one of my favorite things; it's so cool that your son enjoys taking you out to eat. :D

I've heard what many others say, which is not to make any big decisions for a year. Which kind of works in your favor if you do it. You can spend the year trying out the local church, the seniors clubs, other things which allow for getting out of the house and being around other people Then as the year comes to an end you'll be out of the worst of the grieving and will have had time to explore available living spaces in Elliott as well as having a better idea of what your current town has to offer.

Have fun with Son #1 and fam in town.
