A morning reminder that you are amazing!

Well, exercising  one hour a day sounds good to me--

The alternative doesn't seem good!  Lopez and I need to get out and do our early morning walk around the block---Right now he is asleep on the chair here beside me------

The wash is in--the AC is turned off--(It seems quite cool outside  so far this AM)--

Last night, Son#1 invited me for dinner at his house--out at the lake--- Lopez and I were out there sitting on his dock-  so nice----of him!  -It was so good to eat with him---Dim Sum---Chinese  goodies--

                                                                        such a treat--

So, I am trying very hard to  pretend  everything is good in my life--not to dwell  on the sadness--trying to remember that  life is happening the way it should be and I must accept it --that I cannot change  things --and crying does not help!

I must tell you all also, that we got the permission to extend the fence in the back yard , for Lopez--with a gate-- We had to apply to the city to do this--to get a building permit--which I picked up yesterday-- The fence was already around 3 sides  of the yard--It just needed to be extended--so---

Life goes on---and on--and we are a part of to-day--We CAN  handle  everything to-day-- because we all are amazing--Right?--

  1. Good morning, Lynda! So nice you were able to enjoy a nice dinner with family. I am sure it made your day better. Glad the fence is happening soon. I just put a vinyl fence with solar caps on my deck for Tommy and Klo with their little pool. We love it! Hope your day is better and can’t wait for you to get to Medina! Big hugs from Ohio!

  2. Good morning, sis.
It's great that you got your permit for the fence extension. In some municipalities it takes months.
    Lopez looks so relaxed.
You are amazing, Lynda, with all that you do. I am happy you have your sons nearby to help.
It is nice to eat with someone...especially family. I just eat breakfast in the kitchen, luncy by the computer and supper in my relcliner watching tv.
Gonna check the laundry room. Hopefully, no one will be using the larger washer. It won't be too hot as it's only 73F so far. It's sunny, too.
My daughter just messaged me to say that her husband's brother just passed probably from a heart attack. They just got back from a trip to Chicago to see her day (my ex) who is now in assisted living. Now it's back to Chicago for services for her brother-in-law.
Yes, we need to deal with the things we cannot change. It can be very difficult. I have learned as I have aged to ask for help...alot. I rarely did that before. I always tried to handle things myself.
Let's just try to focus on the good side of things and be happy. We can always think of something that makes us feel good.
I'll check back later. Time to get busy now. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda
That was a quick approval on the fence but since it's mostly already there...that sped things up.
Was the food from #1 sons restaurant? It sure looks good.
So, does Pilot son have any idea if the possible strike will happen Wednesday?
    Stay cool. Crazy hot here.

  4. It's Kathy. I'm so happy to hear that you were invited for dinner at Son #1's home. I'm sure it helps to not be alone so much. You have Lopez and Sushi but human company is always appreciated. My son, his wife and their son are coming today - my son has a job interview in the area. I hope it goes well, it would be nice if they were closer. But they're staying overnight and that always interrupts the flow. And their son, age 5, is kind of a diva! And he doesn't like dogs even though they have Annie who is Daisy's sister. So we'll see how that goes. I hope you have a good day today! And yes, I prefer exercise!

  5. Yup . . . one hr. of exercise is definitely worth the health investment!

So lovely you got to have supper w/son @!. Wow! LOTS of food.

Lopez looks so comfy on that chair! They find ways to get comfy, don’t they!

Glad you got the permit to extend the fence and add a gate for Lopez. Wonderful.

Hope the process of settling in is going as smooth as it can!

  6. Hi Lynda. happy to hear that son #1 invited you to have dinner at his home. Have you also been to son #3 and #4's home for a meal or visit?

Now you can move forward with the fence so that you can sit outside with Lopez.

I hope your box a day is working out for you. The photos you've shared look like the home is really coming together.

    Take care Lynda.

  7. Hi Lynda: Nice that you went to son #1's for dinner. He sure has a big kitchen! You really need to be around others while you are still grieving so much so it's good going out there. That was pretty quick for the fence approval. Here that kind of stuff takes forever. Lopez looks real comfy on the chair. Brenda
