Believe that "YOU" are awesome!

"TRY"--is the special words this AM--  Each day starts with a decision ----------"TO TRY"---and the decision "TO TRY"--can be a huge  decision-----depending on your day---but---- "trying"--is more than half the battle!

So, it is a brand new day--and here we are---a part of it--Lord love a Duck!   We CAN do whatever we decide to do---if we try--right?---Of course, it does help if  we have friends who are able to help us--

This AM I called the Pharmacy to ask if my 50 million drugs which I take daily, could be sorted out somehow, in a daily pack--like--- a wee cup for each day that I take the pills--a blister pack--and finally, I found out that the person who does this, just received permission from my Dr-----

It seems this whole procedure takes time-- the "visiting to the Dr., then his sending his permission to the Pharmacy--the pharmacy receiving the meds--and FINALLY___  like a long time later, the announcement from the Pharmacy that this "Blister pack" is on its way--Lord love a Duck eh!!!---  In my nursing career, I remember showing Senior people that this was available--(AND--NOW I AM ONE OF THESE SENIOR PEOPLE)--------Lord love a Duck!----Yes, as we age, and it seems that the world is turning DOOM AND DARKLE, we must have faith --stay positive, and we must continue to sparkle!

WE CAN DO THIS--no matter our age!--

I just had a fellow from Retirement Living appear  at my door,  just now, and showed me how to keep this place warm-

-It looks like a wee fire place and it feels lovely --cozy--

So, hopefully you are feeling the vibes of a good day beginning-- in your part of the world--Be strong, have faith that "YOU" CAN face the world to-day with gumption! You truly are an awesome individual--                                        You just have to believe that you are AWESOME!

  1. Good morning, sis.
It's a lovely day here that I am part of. Coolish, though. It's only 54F and will only get to 69 this afternoon. Fall is coming. It seems as though it was a short summer.
    That first meme is great.
I am glad you have your heat figured out.
We have hot water baseboard heat. The boilers will not be turned on until mid October, I believe. There's a period of time that I always need to be wrapped in a blanket at night in my recliner to watch tv. I long for my own place where I can control the heating and cooling myself.
You are always so inspiring with your reminders. I guess I try to do the same. We encourage each other here. You, me and the rest of your followers. It's great.
I am accomplishing a big job here soon...my frig. A pickle jar got knocked over and the juice dripped to the shelf below. I plan to empty the whole frig, take out the shelves and wash all the surfaces. I want to get it done before I pick up my grocery order at noon.
Guess I'd better get started, but I will come back later, Lynda.
Let's continue to make our day great! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Hi Lynda
Thanks for the great motivating inserts.
I had no idea blister packs were an option. I'll check on that but hubs has some morning and some evening so I'm not sure. I'll check.
Glad you got your heat instructions.
One day fairly soon you may want to turn it on.
It's cool and sunny in St.Louis today. Quite lovely.
I'm having my windows cleaned inside and out today. Very pricey but they are in need.hh
Some are 2 story so no way I can do them.
    Have a great day.
    Hugs

  3. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. Yes, a good word for today is Try. It's going to be a busy day for me but I must get some work done around the house. It's very cool here this morning - if I go out (which is my plan) I'll need a sweatshirt! The weather guy tells us it will be like this all week and I'm happy for that. I have a birthday lunch to go to this afternoon and the Kick Off for my Bible Study's Women's Even this evening. I'm not usually this busy. Oh, and Pilates in the afternoon. So much to do! I hope you have a really good day today! Daisy just came to get me so we can walk down and get the mail - good thing someone is paying attention!

  5. It's Marti. Is that your only heat or do you have a gas furnace? I have a gas furnace and central air, like I believe most do here in Newark, Ohio, unless they have a very old house, I guess. I actually was able to turn off the air conditioning last night. I set it at around the beginning of May or whenever it reads warmer than 68 in here, and keep it on mostly, until it goes below that. At night I set the air to 65, as I am very heat intolerant and get very nauseous and weak if I feel too warm.

Hard to believe other states are so cool right now. We're pretty cool for late August here in Ohio. Low 70's all week. I'm liking that. I actually had to put on a jacket this morning when I walked the dog, I believe it was in the 50's out. Yeah, Fall seems to be coming on fast. I'll take that, I've had enough of heat and humidity.

    1. Yes Fall is here in the North--That fireplace is the main heat and it seems to really throw up the heat--funny little townhouse this is--- but seems to serve all my needs--Lynda

  6. Lynda you are right it does look like a wee fireplace. Is that your only source of heat? I figure you are having cooler temperatures like we are. I had to wait until after lunch to go for my walk, because it was way too cold this morning. So now with having the gate up can you just let Lopez out in the backyard? Have you made major progress in getting all the boxes put away? I guess it would be hard to find places where everything should go isn't it? Well I hope that you are making progress.
