Good Morning all you strong people!

Good morning--It is another very very warm day here--  with smoke from the fires, out west---but, we do have sun coming thru the foggy looking sky--Lopez and I have walked--He did his business--Sushi is up in the bedroom--still in a state of shock from the many moves--Hopefully she  will  be better as each day passes without another move--poor cat eh?--When we spent that week in the motor home , she hid between the bed and the wall and after 3 days  where she did not come out, we had to move the mattress and pull her out. Poor cat eh?----  Cats do not like "change"!

So, the town house here, is tiny--I call it, my "tiny house"-----  and trying to fit furniture in is hard--I have not hung any pictures yet--AND----- there are 50 million more boxes to unpack--I just do not know if they will ever get unpacked--I am trying to empty one box a day--so, it just might take me  from here to eternity before this place is livable.--I took some pictures last night--See if I can send them to you--

It really is wonderful to be back--nice to know people---  nice to be near the 3 boys--  I do miss  Son #2 a lot, but I hear he might fly here soon--and--of course, I miss my husband-- a great deal---

Of course I have you all to chat with----thank goodness--I have missed that the past week or so.
SO----How are you all? Lordy Be! You just have to stay strong--One never knows what is  in the future of ou lives--  One must be stronger than you ever believed you could be, to deal with life!--I know that you will be---
I must post  my favourite poem--called, "After awhile"--I believe that you will enjoy it!--

  1. Good morning, sis.
The photos of your new home look great! They make it seem like you are really settling in and making it comfy. That's good.
Thanks for the poem. I have been 'into' poetry since I was a toddler. I'd have trouble picking my favorite one. My mama and grandma are to blame for that!
It's overcast here today, too, with light rain going on.
Just ordinary stuff going on for me. May get a load of clothes done, karaoke tonight. I will go for at least a while cuz it's my favorite deejay tonight.
Haven't had breakfast yet (Lucky has!), so I think I'll do that now and check back here later.
Cats really do not like change. They want the same environment and the same routine. I'm sure it's a bit different if they're always outside.
I'm so happy you're happy! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Good morning, dear Lynda! Your townhouse is so lovely! Not as much to clean and more time to do fun things! It’s all you need! You will be so happy there. No hurry on the boxes. It’s ok to just do it day by day. Sunny and hot in Ohio. I went to the amish farmer’s market this morning. I go every Saturday. It is so nice to get fresh, organic veggies for fifty cents! Love your pics. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day. Hugs!

  3. Good Morning, Lynda!
It sounds like you are getting settled in just fine. I like the one box a day idea, that way you can take your time and not be overwhelmed with where to put everything. It looks like a cute little place. Just give Sushi a little time to adjust. Dogs seem to do better at that than cats for some reason.
    Have an awesome day!

  4. Hi Lynda
Your tiny house is very cute. I love your little office niche under the stairs.
Have fun with the boxes. There is only so much room so as you unpack you may still find stuff to purge. When you have small space, too much stuff makes it look and feel even smaller plus if it's on the floor it becomes a trip hazard. Just my 2 cents but I'm not a stuff person lol.
I knew you'd miss Matt. He's a wonderful son and did so very much for you in Fairfield.
Sushi will eventually come down. She hid under the bed for a very long time when you got her. She'll come around in time.
I'm so happy that YOU are happy now. I do hope you'll join a grief support group...
I'm pleased the local boys are inviting you over for meals. That's an improvement from before. I hope it continues.
I like the floors in your tiny house. It looks very nice.
    Blazing hot in St.Louis.
    Enjoy today.
    Loved the poem.
Thanks for the pictures. Your little deck is cute.
    Hugs and blessings.

  5. I like your tiny house. Not too big and it's not too small. It will be easier for you to clean. The animals will adjust. Poor Sushi, I know that cats don't like change and I bet she feels a sigh of relief that this will be her forever home. Once again time is on your side, she'll adapt. Take it slow. Like you said 1 box a day, it definitely will be something to do till Christmas! LOL! I sure hope those wildfires would be put out soon. Seems like all of Canada is burning up. :-(

  6. Well, you’re BACK in Lake Elliott in your town house! Awesome. Honestly, looks like you have lots organized already.

Yes, for sure, cats do NOT like change @ all. I can’t blame them. Glad Lopez is adjusting.

Definitely have to be stronger than we are sometimes to deal w/what life dishes out.

Great inspirational piece. Appreciate it and NEEDED it today.

  7. It's Kathy. I love all the photos. It looks like a very cozy and comfortable place! I especially love the desk underneath the stairway! Poor Sushi! I'm sure she will settle in once she realizes that she is safe! We've had really hot weather too, but then we had storms overnight and it's still raining now. Tom and I have an Art Center Gallery Opening to go to early this afternoon - I hope the rain stops by then! Daisy is loving the air conditioning, it keeps her cool. I think one box a day is a good plan and you'll see, they'll all be emptied before long! Have a nice day!

  9. Lynda, it looks very cute, and home-y, and you have your little backyard, and you can sit out. Just be very careful on those stairs. Never hurry down them. My husband broke his neck hurrying down the stairs one time. Tripped just two steps from the bottom, landed wrong on his head. He never really was the same after that. Those open kind of stairs scare me. I'm really not a stairs person anymore, not with a total knee replacement.

My friend and I went swimming today. Oddly enough, my foot was okay walking, and once in the pool nothing hurts at all. The doctor said yes, swim, it's great exercise. My friend, she is aging worse than I am, I hate to see friends age. She's about 45 minutes away from me now that I have moved out here, and I don't drive freeways, so she has to drive to me. We see each other every 6 months or so.

Anyway, for right now, I am content, and life is good. My back is a little sore now. I'm loving my new car which I named Susie Q after the Creedence Clearwater Revival song of the same name.

  10. Your tiny home looks lovely. I give you a lot of credit to move twice within a year. WOW, you are amazing!! Sushi will get used to it, I hope Lopez is doing well. Is your stove gas or electric? Is that your main source of heat? Do you mow the lawn or does the landlord? One box a day is a good plan. I am glad that you are happy to be back home.
    Hugs, and prayers,
    Chris
